Anything you need Dendro applied to, Collei can apply it to, and she's a character permanently available through non-gacha means that most players playing normally will probably have before they reach Sumeru. Yuegui doesn't need to target things which don't need healing and aren't threatening Yaoyao, so I can believe Yuegui sees no need to target them.
They literally target torches and cooking pots, though, which aren’t a threat and don’t need healing either, so there’s no reason why they wouldn’t aim at monuments other than a bad mechanic design. And while it’s true that we don’t need Yaoyao since there are other characters that can do that, it’s still annoying that she’s the only character in the entire game who can’t light up a monument with her skill. It would be more convenient if we didn’t need to swap her out to another Dendro unit every time there was a monument around.
@@vangelq The targeting cooking pot was a problem that fichl's oz had before Hoyo patched it. but, odd reason, the problem comes back with Yaoyao's Yuegui. Im pretty sure, Hoyo would patch it again once they realize Yaoyao has the same problem
Since Yuegui aims at the character when they're not full HP if there's no enemies nearby, you can just hurt yourself to get around this lol. Option 1 - Climb and drop from a high height Option 2 - Swipe and get Hu Tao. :P

There's a way for him to work, though. For dendro cube, you need to use the ult. Ideally you can activate TWO of these pillars using ult (dashing or jumping is a must) and one more with his skill, though you need to position it a bit further from the cube so that he aims at the pillar. For monuments: skill, switch to a character without full HP, stand directly near the monument.
I say a life hack for Yao Yao to activate totems, you need to take damage and get as close to him as possible, then the rabbit will start healing you and at the same time activate the totem

a technique I use is have a damaged character and make it stand beside those things so the turnip aoe can affect both the character I'm trying to heal and the thing

Don't use Yao Yao for Dendro cube, lol, any other dendro applier works. For the totems you have to put yourself between rabbit and totem and it lights up, Yuegui just want to heal you, it doesn't care about totems or puzzles lol, it only identifies enemy or ally, if used differently it just go trolling XD.

To light up dendro totems with yuegio u need to stand next to the totem and make sure ur not on full Ho (it’s legit the only way how I do it)
