I was just in Japan and Vietnam for 2 months. It is a tactic of the enemy to use fear mongering through the media. This is nothing more than the typical annual flu.

8 years later EIGHT! and the message Max is preaching still holds true today. Turbulent storms will surround us everyday in this life. tHE MORE i KNOW jESUS....the less I fear!! One time...There was a bad tornado and I could hear it coming closer and closer to me,to the point it was right at me!....I prayed and I heard the tornado turn immediately and go in a different direction!! And....that was just one of many things I experienced with GOD!! There really is nothing to fear!! HE IS ALL POWERFUL!!
God opened a window to heaven in my living room as I was dying. He laid a beautiful light on my legs. I was in perfect, love, joy peace etc for about a minute. I was healed from Fibromyalgia and severe leg jerking, and severe acid reflex.

This morning I was stressed and afraid and after I poured my heart out to the Lord, I randomly opened the bible (c'mon, we've all done it!) to THIS story (Matthew 8:23-27). And now, as I was listening to some Christian Music on youtube, Max's video popped up. I have never heard of Max Lucado. But BAM, God really wanted to tell me this today! Thanks Max!
I wish more men would comment in the comments section. It seems they're far and few between. Many pastors preach that men are the Spiritual leaders (actually Christ is the Spiritual leader of us all), but I have to wonder, if men are to be the torch bearers of spirituality, than why is it mostly the women (in the home and in Sunday School) whom are teaching the children about Jesus? How many of our children would grow up knowing all about Jesus, and his love for us, if not for their mothers? Men, your brothers in the ministry are mostly carrying the torch for Christ alone, and for many of you, your wives are taking up what you've set down. It's time for you to take your position in the home as the manly example of Jesus Christ, and teach your children about him, along with your wives... Your sons and your daughters need to see and hear you standing tall in the strength and power of Jesus Christ, not just hear about it from their mothers or pastors. I thank God for men like Max Lucado who has not only taken up the torch of Christ, but is carrying it throughout the world.
Its because the men that are already going to your churches are so high strung with their Bibles so far up there ass they forgot where they came from -as to most churchgoers with there smiles and say how are you and walk away ....please! is one of many men stay away!
It could be because this is not the avenue that men grow closer to God, or if they do, they might not comment. Not every person interacts with God the way you do. Don’t worry about what others are doing or not doing. Focus on Jesus!

Love this. Lately I've been having a lot of *unfounded" fears about a future that hasn't happened yet and about my life. I am thankful to God for this message. Instead of worrying over things that haven't happened yet. Just trust God pray to him. Be anxious for nothing because God has it no matter what current or future troubles I may face. 🙏

The devil hates mornings because he knows that many Christians are going to get up to worship God and pray so he'll bring a spirit of fear and depression on them. You need to rebuke that and live for Christ.
He doesn't need to inflict a spirit of fear or depression on me, just get me to 'quickly' check my phone before I open my bible.... an hour later, gotta go, no time to pray. Gah!
Rebecca, God Bless You. I have been battling every morning because I will do everything except pray and it is killing me. I really want to pray but I feel like something is crippling me. To help me get by I just ask God to be with me even though I abandon Him every morning. This is a real thorn in my side but you (through the mercy of God) opened my eyes to the cause of my crippling soul. As Max Lucado mentions that it is no easy path being with God but I am sure willing to take the ride. Thank you all for your replies to Rebecca, it has help me a lot. I get a sense of peace just knowing I am not the only one. I do pray that you all find the 'No Easy Path' because He will be there with you every step of the way.

Jennifer Carney oh my friend...you have what sounds to me like major clinical depression...i don’t know if you take meds for it; that’s a personal choice but i have found this to help me thru these times of absolute fear and despair...Wait and Pray...and if you are unable to pray as is often the case when in a deep depression, say the name of Jesus over and over...when i am suffering like this i also offer my suffering up to God to help someone else: “Dear God thy will be done, but please, if i must go thru this, Please help someone else...You are in my heart and God is also always in yours ❤️🌿

I lived with fear throughout my life of being judged and laughed. I still am dealing with social anxiety. Now I'm 34. What I noticed is that at this age youngsters are no longer interested in taunting people my age. But anytime I see high school and college kids, my brain never fails to warn me of danger. I just cannot control my mind. I used to get scared. In office some of my colleagues picked on me. It grew to the extent of even my juniors joining the teasing. I didn't go to office daily. I go when I get work. Thank God that I worked in government sector. If I had worked in private I would be fired and bullying could be worse. Heard office politics is no joke in corporates. When I was fighting with mental trauma I stumbled across the song " Peace be Still". It resonates with my battle and helped me a lot. Dear God, please work your miracle in use who live in fear of any kind.
American society is heavily programmed to be absorbed by materialism & greed (and a host of other things) People who attempt to attack & demean you are really saying they have their giants to fight as well.
Jesus was mocked made fun of until he was hanged for us, he never did anything to please people only his father in heaven, his strength came from constant prayers and fulfilling his purpose. Heb 4-15 for we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. There is nothing that we cannot overcome through prayers and faith. We are made to live without fear 2 Tim 1-7.

Max Lucado is a great example of the gentle words that bring healing. I watched a video once that had a prostitute.. a modern day prostitute to show the same biblical reality in modern times. It really spoke to my own heart.. and I would drink his words spiritually.. his own ministry helped to water my faith and challenged me and yet we never met. Challenges don't have to be competitive. It's in the simple reading or hearing of something and seeing things in a new way. Though sometimes he uses the most seemingly unrelated things to challenge the heart and mind. That's why the secular music and movies are important to me. For the more a person seeks God the more he is seen in places unexpected.. with a gentle word or challenge of what do you see in this..
Jesus is with us 24/7........I just dont understand why so many preach/talk and not do the miracles God said we would do!! Talk is nothing compared to HIS power! Great speaker for Almighty God. I can hear Jesus speaking to me right now, 'Why are you afraid?' Jesus was cool- headed when his disciples came to him about their fears. My trust is not in someone who has the same fears that I am experiencing. Jesus' cool-headedness shows me that the storms of life do not cause Jesus to panic. For that matter, I can trust him. Because he demonstrated a posture above fears. In Christ I trust. Amen.
My storms were all settled by God. At 16, I was almost raped but God saved me completely. At 19, He asked me to return to 4 stores and admit I had sinned by stealing and give the money back. I did it with Him at my back. In my 30's I was backstabbed by some who I thought were my best friends. He gave me peace and told me to forgive them. I did. I always remembered what they did, but the pain was gone. Is this why God, who never forgets, forget our sins? He can. When He forgives us He no longer holds what we did against us. In my 50's, another message from Him. I obeyed and I have no fear because God is with me in all I do. He stays near. Thank you, Father.
My fears are less since doing 'A Course in Miracles' for a year! I am still doing the 365 daily lessons, on 291. I took longer on some lessons, they are all so beautiful. So, I expect I shall be fearless, allowing even more peace and love to be!
Consider removing the 'I' from your statement and replace them with 'Jesus'. We cannot do enough on our own. TRUST and SURRENDER to JESUS as the Son of God; therein, you will be given His strength and courage. Each of us is born a child of the Most High God. It is not of our self. All preachers ought to learn from Max Lucado because he is teaching words of Jesus Himself. DO NOT MISMANAGE YOUR FEAR. Only fear God and run to Him in moments like this because He alone has the power to take our life.
My dear friend passed me his book . I long to be delivered from fear-I lost my family, a sense of home for some time. Jesus saved me but I have remnants of the trauma left. Alot of anxiey,am very tired physically. Lord please restore me .

Im afraid as I have no one. I have been abandoned since birth despised and hated. My husband just left after breaking my ribs his gone. I think a lot of pastors and people dont understand true brokeness as they have never lost everything. If they lost their home they still had a wife or if they lost their wife they still had a job etc. But try losing your family, husband, job and not owning a home etc. Its not easy. Yes I am afraid of the future as it looks very lonely to me and difficult. Im looking forward to Jesus returning✝️🙏🏻

Your sons and your daughters need to see and hear you standing tall in the strength and power of Jesus Christ, not just hear about it from their mothers or pastors. Love this. Lately I've been having a lot of *unfounded" fears about a future that hasn't happened yet and about my life. I am thankful to God for this message. Instead of worrying over things that haven't happened yet. Just trust God pray to him. Be anxious for nothing because God has it no matter what current or future troubles I may face. 🙏

Max Lucado's books and inspirational preachings touch my heart in many ways in my life. I have read his many writings and inspire me a lot.
The devil hates mornings because he knows that many Christians are going to get up to worship God and pray so he'll bring a spirit of fear and depression on them. You need to rebuke that and live for Christ.
He doesn't need to inflict a spirit of fear or depression on me, just get me to 'quickly' check my phone before I open my bible.... an hour later, gotta go, no time to pray. Gah!
Rebecca, God Bless You. I have been battling every morning because I will do everything except pray and it is killing me. I really want to pray but I feel like something is crippling me. To help me get by I just ask God to be with me even though I abandon Him every morning. This is a real thorn in my side but you (through the mercy of God) opened my eyes to the cause of my crippling soul. As Max Lucado mentions that it is no easy path being with God but I am sure willing to take the ride. Thank you all for your replies to Rebecca, it has help me a lot. I get a sense of peace just knowing I am not the only one. I do pray that you all find the 'No Easy Path' because He will be there with you every step of the way.

I lived with fear throughout my life of being judged and laughed. I still am dealing with social anxiety. Now I'm 34. What I noticed is that at this age youngsters are no longer interested in taunting people my age. But anytime I see high school and college kids, my brain never fails to warn me of danger. I just cannot control my mind. I used to get scared. In office some of my colleagues picked on me. It grew to the extent of even my juniors joining the teasing. I didn't go to office daily. I go when I get work. Thank God that I worked in government sector. If I had worked in private I would be fired and bullying could be worse. Heard office politics is no joke in corporates. When I was fighting with mental trauma I stumbled across the song " Peace be Still". It resonates with my battle and helped me a lot. Dear God, please work your miracle in use who live in fear of any kind.
American society is heavily programmed to be absorbed by materialism & greed (and a host of other things) People who attempt to attack & demean you are really saying they have their giants to fight as well.
Do not be fearful of man. Fear the LORD our God and trust in HIM
Jesus was mocked made fun of until he was hanged for us, he never did anything to please people only his father in heaven, his strength came from constant prayers and fulfilling his purpose. Heb 4-15 for we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. There is nothing that we cannot overcome through prayers and faith. We are made to live without fear 2 Tim 1-7.
This is what I really need these days. It is very powerful. Dear God, I am so fearful now, Can I grab your hand and walk by your side ? Shall we fight the temptations together ?

Max Lucado is a great example of the gentle words that bring healing. I watched a video once that had a prostitute.. a modern day prostitute to show the same biblical reality in modern times. It really spoke to my own heart.. and I would drink his words spiritually.. his own ministry helped to water my faith and challenged me and yet we never met. Challenges don't have to be competitive. It's in the simple reading or hearing of something and seeing things in a new way. Though sometimes he uses the most seemingly unrelated things to challenge the heart and mind. That's why the secular music and movies are important to me. For the more a person seeks God the more he is seen in places unexpected.. with a gentle word or challenge of what do you see in this..

I am not afraid. I am encouraging life for those who may have a harder time getting through this flu event. the Bible tells us to encourage life. My goodness people. We can use all the help and idea from Jesus that can get. There are many vitamin store owner who were lead to be that from Jesus. Don't believe everything you "hear". Only what is in the Bible. There is no scripture calling fear a sin.
Jesus was afraid when the time was coming for His crucifixion. He prayed 3 times that it will pass by Him but only by the Fathers will not His.

Great speaker for Almighty God. I can hear Jesus speaking to me right now, 'Why are you afraid?' Jesus was cool- headed when his disciples came to him about their fears. My trust is not in someone who has the same fears that I am experiencing. Jesus' cool-headedness shows me that the storms of life do not cause Jesus to panic. For that matter, I can trust him. Because he demonstrated a posture above fears. In Christ I trust. Amen.

Felicita Valverde actually serving God is easy when you release yourself from the bondage of the flesh. Releasing is the difficult part.
My storms were all settled by God. At 16, I was almost raped but God saved me completely. At 19, He asked me to return to 4 stores and admit I had sinned by stealing and give the money back. I did it with Him at my back. In my 30's I was backstabbed by some who I thought were my best friends. He gave me peace and told me to forgive them. I did. I always remembered what they did, but the pain was gone. Is this why God, who never forgets, forget our sins? He can. When He forgives us He no longer holds what we did against us. In my 50's, another message from Him. I obeyed and I have no fear because God is with me in all I do. He stays near. Thank you, Father.
My fears are less since doing 'A Course in Miracles' for a year! I am still doing the 365 daily lessons, on 291. I took longer on some lessons, they are all so beautiful. So, I expect I shall be fearless, allowing even more peace and love to be!

My dear friend passed me his book . I long to be delivered from fear-I lost my family, a sense of home for some time. Jesus saved me but I have remnants of the trauma left. Alot of anxiey,am very tired physically. Lord please restore me .

Im afraid as I have no one. I have been abandoned since birth despised and hated. My husband just left after breaking my ribs his gone. I think a lot of pastors and people dont understand true brokeness as they have never lost everything. If they lost their home they still had a wife or if they lost their wife they still had a job etc. But try losing your family, husband, job and not owning a home etc. Its not easy. Yes I am afraid of the future as it looks very lonely to me and difficult.
