Car Catches Fire In The Lion's Enclosure At Longleat Safari Park, Wiltshire

On 18/04/2014 I took my family to Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire. We was enjoying our drive around the safari park when we witnessed a very scary situation unfold in front of us.
After being securely locked into the Lions enclosure we followed the track around until we pulled up right next to the pack of lions.
We was amazed at how relaxed the big pack of lions were all lied out in the sun.
Like a flash, all the lions suddenly jumped up and started to behave very differently. We thought maybe they were about to be fed or something so we grabbed the camera to try and film it.
We was very aware the lions were not happy because they were very alert and twitchy, they never took their eyes off what they were looking at but at this time we could not see what was going on. We saw several rangers drive past at very high speeds in there 4x4 and we soon relised that something was not right.
We soon noticed people were out their vehicles and smoke was coming out of a family car.
The family was swiftly picked up and put safe in a rangers 4x4 and their family car was totally engulfed in flames within minutes of them getting out.
The Rangers chased the lions away from the area of the fire and the fire brigade soon arrived to put the the fire out.
You could tell the rangers at the scene were very panicked but from what we saw they did an amazing job of securing the area as best they could and making sure the family were safe.
I hope the family involved are safe and soon get another car sorted.
