    広い家うらやましいです☺️私の生まれ育った田舎の父母の家はとても広かったですが、今は子供と狭い都会の窮屈なアパートに住んでいます。家中や庭や田畑を駆けまわった子供時代が懐かしくて切ないです。一生廃れない大切な思い出になまりますね。

    I think my favorite thing about your new home is just how well it fits your needs. When our family of six moved from our previous small 2 bedroom to our current 3 bedroom +bonus space, what I found amazing was not having to fight with my space. I was always constantly trying to find better ways to store everyday items where I didn't have to fear for my life shoving them into place. When Ruth was talking about spaces like the closets and pantry, you could just see how happy those spaces make her. I am with you, Ruth. When my home can function better, I am much happier. I also love the amount of light. I'm a light gal . I lived in the Pacific Northwest in the USA for 33 years and understand how precious light can be . We live in the Southern US now, and I can't get enough of the natural light.b

    • @mrsTraveller64
      @mrsTraveller64 8 месяцев назад +10

      I actually grew up in an apartmentbuilding,we lived on the third floor and there was no elevator,we run those stairs up and down and got good excercise from it😁 we played around the buildings,there was a big park and a small planted forest and a big playing area and the real forest was close by, we felt everything outside was a huge playing-ground! And all summer(2.5month) we stayed in our rented villa out in the country-side! So you CAN have a nice childhood in an apartmentbuilding too❤(I grew up in Finland by the way)

    I love that by the time we left Japan my kids could recognize the 'theme songs' for most of our favorite stores, restaurants, and station stops. Sometimes we catch a bit of one on a video and the kids all come to see. Yodobashi Camera or Kitakata Ramen, anyone? We were sorry to hear about the ankle! We hope it is all healed up by the time we get to know the story.

    Interesting to see the sod. I’d seen it installed before in Japan. Watch out for the crows coming in and peeling it back to look for worms and bugs! If the sod pieces have been displaced, that’s probably what’s happening!
    I grew tomatoes. They grew outrageously tall, over 9 feet high. I’ve never seen anything like it having grown up in the deserts of the High Plains of Colorado. It will be interesting to see how your yard goes.
