She's the One is one of my favorite Petty records, California is such a breezy tune. I appreciate you doing this!

Hey, I'm one of those that think Tom Petty couldn't do anything wrong. Which is why I bought both box sets of all of his studio albums, and each one of them is great. Now if only I could afford his live box set, I'd be happy lol.

I am with you, Petty has a pretty near perfect catalog!

Oooo….some turkeys here indeed!! I was worried you were going to choose BOCs Fire of Unknown Origin which I really love ….I’ve noticed that so many bands like ARS flopped when the record companies pushed them to be radio-friendly . I gave up with Steve Miller Band after ‘Abracadabra’ became a hit (somehow)! Good picks, here, Mike 😁👍

I have been trying to build up my Blue Oyster Cult collection and I knew that Mirrors was not critically acclaimed and I have waited on picking it up. I have three of your turkeys in Duran Duran, The Atlanta Rhythm Section and the Tom Petty one.

@@RandyforRoyals I'm a big die hard BOC fan so I try to get all of them that I can. Mirrors might be a more commercial album but I still think it's got plenty of great tracks on it and shouldn't be completely ignored. Imaginos is one of my favorites and it was a later album but is one of their hardest hitting albums.

@@vinylrichie007 For the most part, that's what happens when a record label tries to change an artist's style to get more sales...it tends to backfire. None of those records are really that popular though some of them still end up having a few great songs on them.

I have never seen that Squeeze album called Frank. It seem to me Mike you like a lot of albums that are Turkey’s. I guess you got a Turkey collection lol

@@stevecarlsonvinylcommunity9147 Well I seem to have picked out a bunch of my favorite turkeys but even then, they do lack a bit compared to other albums by the same band, except for Frank by Squeeze. I think the problem with that one for most people is that it has more of a jazz feel to it and more of a variety, but I consider that album one of their best.

Hi Mike, I have mixed feelings about Arcadia. I liked the single. I have a lot of Squeeze records, but not Frank. I have never even heard it! That Tom Petty soundtrack is interesting. Walls is pretty good! I have thought of a couple of turkeys already.

I loved "Mirrors" and every other BOC album - even "Club Ninja"! 💜I guess some can't tolerate change. ...Agree on the ARS album and also loved only the song, "Spooky" on it🦃. ...Never even saw that Steve Miller album before but hated the album with the much-over-played song, "The Joker" on it🦃🦃(2 turkeys!) - extremely bad lyrics! ...Also never heard or even saw those Tom Petty and Arcadia albums. so can't judge but I did not like Duran Duran. ...The only other 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃I can think of now (IMO) are just about ANY Springsteen LP! I can tolerate his 1st but not enough to have one in my vast collection.

@@billstill1794 Mirrors is a decent album and shouldn't be ignored like it is. Steve Miller is more of a nostalgic thing for me because Fly Like an Eagle was the first album I owned. But his pre-Eagle albums are the better ones. The Joker album had some weak tracks including the title track and Your Cash Ain't Nothing But Trash which is so bad, it's embarrassing, but most of the other songs are quite good like Evil and Shu Ba Da Du Ma Ma Ma both of which have killer guitar solos. Steve Miller should have played his guitar more. And I also love Club Ninja.
