Power surges are scary. On one run, I made it to phase 3. Weapons are burst laser II, Artemis missile, Halberd beam, and hull laser I. I was holding off the ships firepower while responding with my own. Cloaking through power surges. A power surge nearly hits me but I cloak. I was taking lots of hits from missiles. Hull at 75%. I see a power surge is detected. I’m preparing halberd beam to end them. They hit me with their last 2 boarders and I cloak. I take out the boarders but the power surge activates. It fully regenerated the Zoltan shield! The halberd beam hits the Zoltan shield and can’t get through. I fire my lasers and missiles. A lucky enemy missile hits oxygen so I get a engi to fix it. It has a breach so no hope of fixing that. As more missiles hit more systems I think I’m done for. I get crew in medical so they survive a bit longer. Zoltan shield of flagship is almost down. POWER SURGE DETECTED. I see the 8 lasers hit my ship. Weapons down to 6 bars. Fired burst laser and I finally break through the Zoltan shield. I fire a halberd beam and I won. Most stressful win ever man. And all because of a power surge.
Though I would leave a long comment about my story when a power surge turned an easy win to a close battle. But I already used that story for a different reply.
@@ArmageddonChess Some times between episodes have been longer, remember that Andrew does it in his free time too, so it depends on that schedule, plus the schedule of all the voice actors who help out with it. It's a passion project!
Both of your takes on The Last Stand are utterly, absurdly awesome. The Last Stand is probably one of my top five game music songs ever and you did it justice and then some.

Listening to this while actually fighting the Flagship gives a surge of power, determination and hope that should be illegal. Just listening to this track makes you feel like you're on board the crew, fighting not just for your life, but for the sake of the universe.

There's multiple hull breaches across the ship. The med bay is on fire. O2 is low and falling. But you have a clear shot to the flagship's reactor core. And with nerves of steel, you fire.
This is awesome i love it please never give up, you make awesome work and even if not many people will saw it, the ones who saw it will god damn love it becouse this is beautiful
Interesting comment to say, while it won't happen per using those track, I do really hope they replace Showdown with something better. Currently it feels like it's one of their weaker soundtracks. The only part that hooks me is the ending.

All the Obelisk-related hype was tossed in the trash for something supposedly more important: Vance. Seriously, the superpowered Obelisk Queen dies to a couple blaster bolts in a single sentence. We have no explanation for how Vance managed to track you so far ahead of the rest of the fleet, why he would put himself at risk like that when he didn't know about the paragon, why he didn't just kill us with the same event magic he used on the queen, or how we are able to track him through hyperspace, despite it being, according to Multiverse itself, impossible. And then there's the part about the paragon at the end. Its power is wildly inconsistent from textbox to textbox, and the entire sacrifice dilemma feels cheap, since you could realistically just rig it, leave it in space, and get the heck out of there. Not even the paragraphs after the paragon detonates make any sense. How does MV drives stopping working let the Rebels and Federations form truces? Those ideas are completely unrelated. It's still fine for you to like the ending, just explaining why it left a bitter taste in my mouth. Thank God it's being redone, I just hope they don't change anything before the final sector. It's a solid and captivating narrative until then.

Потому что the last stand уже связан с флагманом и повстанцами, и это бы добавило сильвана в ту же категорию, хотя он туда совершенно не подходит. А ещё тут большую роль играют перегрузки флагмана, которых у сильвана скорее всего (пока не сражался) нет.
