as the eldest daughter of immigrant parents, i wanna thank you for always being the voice of how eager of us to let our parents do whatever they want in their lives without worrying about anything. hate to see them grow old and still wanting to work, but as every day passes by we're all coming to that point where their lives can be what they wished for. 💗

Hi Michelle. Have a good time in Korea with your Mom, visiting your family and pampering yourselves. It was nice seeing your Dad in his workplace, there is something really beautiful about the memories that resurface and are created there. I also think a certain pride is felt when your father sees you there as well. Words can't express it. I hope that the flight is a good one, and you arrive safely and without snow issues to deal with. Take care, I'll be looking forward to your Seoul adventures and, mother-daughter bonding times.

This vlog was so touching...💗 I don't know why I'm getting so emotional right now, I guess I just miss my mom these days, even though we aren't really close and usually have completely opposite views on so many things... She's been living in her homecountry for the whole life and I've moved away as soon as I could and never been on the same place for long, except for the past few years when I've been residing in Korea. I catch myself on worrying about her, especially since she's getting older and had lost her husband last year, so she's alone now.
I love when you showing your days with your parents. Thank you for being so genuine. Sending hugs ~

Hi! As an Italian woman, I want you to know that I appreciate your content so much! I would love to meet you in person one day, to say thank you for keeping me a bit of company while growing, and for sharing your experience 🙏I can relate with very similar emotions with regards to mental health, sense of identity, work, being an independent woman and especially when you speak of family. You would be amazed as per how many Italians have the same mental grit and strength of your parents, showing up to life every single day to give our generation the possibility to connect with each other more easily. I feel that global mobility, education (not necessarily academic), and mental resilience are the biggest privileges we have come to experience thanks to their brave choices. Some days it’s hard to keep up with the standard they set for us, and some other days all you want is just to make them experience gratitude and show them that you are the living payoff of all they did for you. And all of this happens, while not knowing if it will ever feel or be enough for you, but being aware that you can just try to do your best to evolve even further. It’s so nice to be able to see that we are somehow all here on this earth going through our lives and despite the wildly different cultures and latitudes, being somehow connected from our experiences (and not just RUclips). Thanks for sharing your thoughts and creations 🙏

There are so many times we take things for granted and these videos feel like a love letter to all the things we want to hold onto. I watched my parents get old and it was really sad but it always felt like I had more time. Then my mom got dementia and it really hits me how little time we have together. She's only 63, which is really young for something like that but sometimes.. it just happens. Before that, she had cancer, and before that, I actually had a really tumultuous relationship with them because they had a lot of trauma from escaping the Vietnam war, which made our interactions toxic. Now I carry a lot of guilt, wishing I had spent more time with them but at the time, I couldn't because I needed to protect my mental health. I just chalk it up to how nuanced and complex human relationships can be. My mom is still with us but she's a shell of who she once was and I miss her all the time. I try and hope that my words and feelings reach her in times of lucidness. I'm glad and envious that you're able to spend time with your parents while they're both mentally and physically healthy.

My dad was never really been with us since we were small (he's now retired for more than 10 years), but he always put the effort to always get an update from us and mum on our school and everything else. he travels around and we only see him twice a year, 2 weeks at one time. but he never get to celebrate any special occasions or festive season with us due to his work. So now that he has retired I try to spend as much time as possible with him, trying to pay back the lost time.

I can relate to the love you have for your parents as a daughter of immigrants myself. It’s admirable to see over the years how hard you’ve work to give them time freedom. Moments with our parents are sacred.💜

Your parents are lovely. As our parents get older you just want to spend as much time as possible with them. Hope you all have a lovely holiday in Korea XXX

Favourite parts: Eating cup noodles with your dad, the little squirrel gesture with your mom's hands, early morning talks with your dad in the car, the sandwich delivery.

Hi Michelle, enjoy your Korea trip! I love how you and your family interacts…. Your father represents the strong side and your mother represents the soft side. The relationship is just perfect! P.S. Your mom is the sunshine, so gorgeous 🌈

i haven't watched a video of yours in a long time and this was very sweet and precious to see. Thank you for sharing! I hope your parents will have some good rest soon in retirement. My parents were able to retire at 60 and without doing that I feel like they probably would not have lived to be the ages they are now. It's scary to change but your parents will have lovely retirements I'm sure. Best wishes and stay healthy

Was not expected to get emotional watching this. As a child of immigrants, I can sympathize with you. This certainly hits way too close to home.
