cannot thank you enough. sometimes vids go way too slow, sometimes too fast - your's is definitely right in the Goldilocks pocket! Excellent vid. I'm brand new to FPV, starting my 1st quad build on this kit - I've gone out to every link & will swear by your build on this based on what i've just watched. ready for the 2nd vid! thanks again. Russ from Coral Springs, FL, USA
I have been searching for a good guide that was all inclusive about building quads with a high level of detail and explanation. Not only did I find that with FlightClub, but they also have their own store that cut out all the crap and offers the good gear. Love this channel 10 outta 10 would recommend
I've only had my little JJRC H8C for one day. I'm already hooked on these quads, man. I'm going to follow your lead to a T. It's so slick with the wire mesh! I love it! This is a really great video series. Thanks for putting this together.
Really nice job! Folks...this is the EXACT build I went with however it took me three months research to pull all of this information together. This is a great, up-to-date and complete build using the latest and greatest components. You CANNOT GO WRONG following this to the letter!
Thanks for these amazingly well done videos man. I was a total noob but was able to complete this in 2 weeks working on it almost every night after work. Never soldered or did anything that had to do electronics before... :o Just getting into this hobby, but it's already so much fun.
Great video, best I've seen! Guys get your components from flight club, I've ordered numerous times very quick shipping. And they take care of there customers! USPS lost one of my orders and FC took care of me like no other! First class two thumbs up!!
Awesome build. I love tight and clean builds. I wish I watched this video before I built my QAV250. But its a starter quad for me. Just getting my feet wet with FPV. Plan on moving to a Blackout once I get comfortable. Again awesome build, earned a subscriber.
Used this video to do my first build almost 4 years ago. Crazy how we used to have to run an entire board to run osd back in the day. I’m still rocking the flight club OG solder vice til this day tho haha.
Loved your video but i was wondering if maybe you cold shed some light on the opto esc's. I noticed that you only used the signal wires which was what i was hoping to do. Any issues not using the negative leed?
Is part 2 of this uploaded and I'm just missing it? Thank you for this great video! I'm just starting out with this, have yet to order any parts except for the FatShark HD's because they seem to be hard to come by (buy it before someone else gets it), and I can't wait to get started! Thanks!
I have simonK 20A ESC's and they have a 3rd red wire as well as the black & white. Do I just leave that 3rd line off the esc? I believe the red is the BEC output line. Also, there was never a mention of the single row RH 4 pin that is needed for this setup. The Naze32 rev6 comes with a full rack of RH, which would disturb this setup.
I want to use the Naze 32 Full Version board with Altitude and Take-off/Auto landing control. What do i need to do differently in terms of soldering which pins to what? I'm a beginner as you can tell. Please help. Also, do you recommend me buying the Fury PDB over the normal one you've used here? Wouldn't this minimise wiring?
Once again this has been a very informative series and it has helped me so much. I have a couple questions. Is the OSD also functioning as a BEC? And I also have a question about VBAT. Is it pretty much the voltage coming right off the battery not stepped down in any manner right? So in this video it would be 16.8v on a fully charged 4s pack? Thanks for all the help for the noobs!
Hey, I'm looking to build a QAV250 just like the one you did in your video. I feel as though I'm knowledgeable in the sense that I've seen soldering in many situations on the QAV power board and the FC's but I've never actually soldered myself. Should this be something I should worry about? Or do you think it's perfectly reasonable to build the same QAV you did myself if I follow the video? And what are the black wires for on the PDB?
Do you think you can make a quick video explaining the changes on the new version of the Naze32? It's set up pretty differently on v6 and I'm having trouble following
@FlightClub I noticed that your motor wires have been extended. What guage wire did you use? My sunny skies motor wires are not long enough to reach the distribution board.
Just completed my build and the quad is way sensitive. I can't even get it in a hover. I've flown a few before, so this was a pit of a surprise. The only thing I can think of is the ESCs or PID settings. I used all the components you have lists except I used an X4R-SB and SBUS. Jumped the pins and have good telemetry as well. Looking for some suggestions?
Clear videos, very cool website, awesome minimal builds, impressive... you do it all by yourself ? keep on the good work friend !! Do you ship over France?
Okay, there was one thing I ran into while following these that had me confused forever. with the OSDoge and Naze setup, when connecting via USB to the Naze when the two boards are together, you NEED TO have the switch on the OSDoge flipped toward the USB port, otherwise the OSDoge also tried communicating at the same time as the Naze and it screws up the Naze's communication with the computer.
Awesome video! (I love your cable management) I saw your other video on the EMAX 250 Nighthawk, and it made me wonder after seeing how many arms you broke. Would you recommend buying one of those frame kits instead of a Lumenier for a beginner? Arms seem a lot easier to replace instead of an entire frame.
anrachy187matt The arms I broke were my 1st QAV250 with the extra holes cut in the frame. This new frame doesn't have the holes so it should be stronger. I'll let you know once I crash :)
FlightClub Thanks for the info. I am taking your recommendation and going with the Cobra 2300kv motors(I am a noob at this still) and pretty much the exact same build as yours. What props would you suggest? I was wondering if the 5x4 would be to much to learn on or should I go with the 5x3 or 5x35? Also would a 3s or a 4s battery be a better choice with this build?
If you are wanting the 2204 2300kv, I would hurry. I have one set left. fpv-flightclub.com/product/cobra-2204-2300kv-motor/ If this is your first quad I would suggest going with 5030 and definitely 3s. 4s is too much power to learn.
FlightClub Thanks for the heads up and the info. Your inventory and my wallet will now be lighter. :) I ordered 5 of the motors just in case there is an accident in the future. Also grabbed 5 of the 5030 props. I will be back to your shop in the future, so If there are any sales or coupons I will keep my eyes open.
Would I be correct in that the Fat Shark 900tvl camera would out-perform the Sony Super HAD 600tvl Camera? The FS is also +5v whereas the input voltage of the Sony is +12v. I am about to solder the jumpers on the OSDoge.
Nice video. Great info thanks. I am waiting for my QAV250'parts to arrive and I will follow along with you as I build mine. Do you have any CG issues with the Naze in the middle?
Simon Thorne I have not flown this QAV250 yet but on my other one I didn't have issues with 3s. I plan on flying with a GoPro Session on this qav so it will balance nicely.
How could you able to get 5v for Flight controller while ESC you're using do not have BEC to supply 5v ? Does Luminier's power distribute board have voltage regulator inside ? From schematic you have connect naze32 directly to Lipo , Don't it pass 12v(or more) to 2.4 Receiver and fire it up ? Or OSDoge do regulate 5v to naze ?
TheJajxon the frame is stronger than the last one. This build is a little more advance than my other build with the EMAX. You can see it here: fpv-flightclub.com/how-to-build-fpv-quadcopter/
I do have one question, what is the name of the little rabbit ear 3D printed thing for the controls receiver? Is it necessary? In particular is it necessary for the CF frame? Just trying to figure out of I need to get one to complete the build! Thanks.
FlightClub Thanks for the recommendation! unfortunately I will be using a Lemon (DSMX compatible) and I doubt it would fit! Is it necessary to have the antenna up and away like that? Thanks
CujoCole nah, it's simple. just use a nice sharp cone soldering tip. make sure you heat the pad along with whatever you are soldering and don't move the joint until the solder is solid.
FlightClub perfect.. I'm watching this video as I type lol.. long video but good info.. I love clean builds also.. I wire up rc cars and have ocd also haha.. building my first quad.. mini h blackout 5in 4S .. not new to flying I fly 3D helis and sold them because it was very expensive to crash.. not that I crash a lot but it happens and with quads it's cheaper and can fly it almost everywhere just not where people around.. Thanks again.. I really like that board I wish the naze 32 came in white but I have a red one :/
thatonebeone Yeah I think all the Naze32 boards are going to be black now. Have you checked out the OSDoge setup post yet? fpv-flightclub.com/osdoge-setup-rssi/
FlightClub yeah I looked at it very easy to fallow instructions. . You are the go to person.. thanks.. hopefully I'll have mine up by Sunday for madin flight..I was really confused a bit but once I saw the osd board I grab it right away lol. I'll probably build a 6in mini h not sure if the osd board can use 6S
+FlightClub So I go the site in the description for cobra 2300kv motors and they are out of stock but it says they will be back in stock on 11/17,does this mean 2017?
Hi mate I sent you an email asking about when you will be gettin the cobra 2204 2300kv and also some other info I needed before I pay for the order in my basket we spoke a couple of times through email but I haven't received an answer to my last email.

+FlightClub Thank you so much, little responses like this make me feel so much better about following this build. You my friend are awesome and your video is awesome!
Ok I can see that soldering first motor to esc is not easy but It would've been nice to show how do you solder the other motors to escs, cause that is pretty f hard

+Corey Fields thanks! you know where to buy all the parts :)
10-4, good sir.
I've been soldering a long ass time, and that sir is not the lazy way to do it. IMO that's the correct way to do it. Lol
Really nice job! Folks...this is the EXACT build I went with however it took me three months research to pull all of this information together. This is a great, up-to-date and complete build using the latest and greatest components. You CANNOT GO WRONG following this to the letter!
thanks for all the efforts in making this video. helps all the beginners out there a lot, like me

things have changed a lot in 4 years! its crazy how fast this hobby evolves
Your build is the best I've seen mate
Well done !!😃
Jason Mills thanks Jason! lots more coming :)
Cleanest build I've seen. Thumbs up
Loved your video but i was wondering if maybe you cold shed some light on the opto esc's. I noticed that you only used the signal wires which was what i was hoping to do. Any issues not using the negative leed?

Great job of explaining, and high quality workmanship. And yes, I subscribed.

Nice video great work. Can you do a ZMR250 V2 tutorial also please. (With CC3D)
+John Jones Yes, the OSDoge is the BEC providing the 5V to power the Naze32. Yes, the VBAT is the voltage directly from the battery.
un diseño muy limpio , información muy precisa , muchas gracias por tus ilustraciones , un saludo compañero
Do you remember what size the wire mesh at 33:06 was? Online I can buy 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm or 12mm size. Would really appreciate the help :)

+Nick Lukefahr Thanks Nick. Did you watch part 2 of this build series? I covered that part in the other video.
For beginners, it would be great if we had a short video on how to build a wire harness for the FPV System thank Please reply
+Mike Rubino I'll do that in the next video. should be up within the week. thanks
Awesome video! (I love your cable management)

Nice video. What would you charge to build one to this spec for me?
Nice video. Great info thanks.
I am waiting for my QAV250'parts to arrive and I will follow along with you as I build mine.
Do you have any CG issues with the Naze in the middle?
What I mean is does the weight of the battery at the back effect the CEntre of Gravity? Or do you have the battery mounted on top?
Simon Thorne I have not flown this QAV250 yet but on my other one I didn't have issues with 3s. I plan on flying with a GoPro Session on this qav so it will balance nicely.
+FlightClub Kinda confused about the Black ESC leads , what excactly do you do with them on the quad ,and how are they potentially used ??
I removed the black leads. They are only needed if you plan on flashing the ESCs or change any settings in BlHeli
How could you able to get 5v for Flight controller
while ESC you're using do not have BEC to supply 5v ?
Does Luminier's power distribute board have voltage regulator inside ?
From schematic you have connect naze32 directly to Lipo ,
Don't it pass 12v(or more) to 2.4 Receiver and fire it up ?
Or OSDoge do regulate 5v to naze ?
Where can I get a 2 pin connecter that goes from the Power Distribution Board to the OSDoge?
If i was to use a Spektrum AR7700 which supports PPM, Would i still follow same steps in video. Or would something change?
Hello, was just wondering if you still sell Fatshark Dominator V2
Thanks
Great video! Quick questions...if I'm not going the OSdoge router how do I get BEC (power) to my Naze32?
Code3WRX OSDoge puts 5V power and ground on channel 6. All you have to do is put 5V on one of the channels + and -
Code3WRX you would have to use an ESC that has a built in BEC that can provide the 5v. Or you have to use an external BEC to power the Naze32
When will the second part?
Great review.
What do you think about the new frame?
It is stronger?
Good for the beginner or better to buy something cheaper?
TheJajxon the frame is stronger than the last one. This build is a little more advance than my other build with the EMAX. You can see it here: fpv-flightclub.com/how-to-build-fpv-quadcopter/
FlightClub Ok thx for info
I do have one question, what is the name of the little rabbit ear 3D printed thing for the controls receiver? Is it necessary? In particular is it necessary for the CF frame? Just trying to figure out of I need to get one to complete the build! Thanks.
Nick Lukefahr this is the mount i used: fpv-flightclub.com/product/frsky-d4r-ii-mount/
FlightClub Thanks for the recommendation! unfortunately I will be using a Lemon (DSMX compatible) and I doubt it would fit! Is it necessary to have the antenna up and away like that? Thanks
This is a good video. I wish I had found it sooner.
How did you get the spacers that you used on the Naze?
How much flight time do you get on this setup with a 1300 mah 4s?
Where did you get your orange wire mesh?
Does the camera mount work with aero guards?
Do you have this on your site as a kit or do I have to go through and put everything in a cart and buy it that way?
+Nathan Ball I have them as kits: fpv-flightclub.com/product/lumenier-qav250-kit/
Hi. How much would it cost without an fov camera?
Awesome Tutorial! Keep up the good work!
does the buzzer come with the kit
Hey are there any files for the 3D printed camera mount? I'm having a hard time getting my camera mounted to my 250
we don't share our files sorry
Is the soldering parts of the build exceedingly difficult for a beginner to solder?
CujoCole nah, it's simple. just use a nice sharp cone soldering tip. make sure you heat the pad along with whatever you are soldering and don't move the joint until the solder is solid.
Nice.. I just ordered osd board.. you just shipped it lol. BTW what location you from? I should get it in 3 days I'm in San diego California
thatonebeone Thanks! Let me know if you need help. I ship from Texas :)

Can you use a 4s battery with the 2300kv??? And would you recommend the 2100kv or 2300kv, and with what battery?
+Kevin Hale yes, the 2300kv can run 4s on not as aggressive props. If you are going to use anything more than 5045 I would go with the 2100kv
wherer i can find this power distribution board pls help or say me the name of it
+Roberto Marques naze32?
+Roberto Marques wait nevermind look in the description
can u make a tutorial how to build QAV210 charpu edition ??
+Mohd Fhazal it's coming :)
Hi mate I sent you an email asking about when you will be gettin the cobra 2204 2300kv and also some other info I needed before I pay for the order in my basket we spoke a couple of times through email but I haven't received an answer to my last email.
Where do the small black wires from the esc's go ?
+rob978978 i removed them.
+FlightClub Cheers mate, and thanks for the quick response.
how much was this build all together
Are your Naze 32 header pins on the right or stright?
Pharos EDM i use a 4 pin 90 degree for the header pins on the naze32. less is more :)
FlightClub When I go to the website to purchase it, I need to pick header pin right or straight before I can go any further. Thanks again, can't wait to build this!
this build uses the right angle pins.
+FlightClub Thank you so much, little responses like this make me feel so much better about following this build. You my friend are awesome and your video is awesome!
FlightClub Where do you get the 4 pin 90 degree for the header pins on the naze32?
Nice and clean build. Subbed.
Ok I can see that soldering first motor to esc is not easy but It would've been nice to show how do you solder the other motors to escs, cause that is pretty f hard
+Alvaroeduardo check out the build update video. I do it another way now.
ruclips.net/video/QG5GXBkkl4A/видео.html
Can I go 4s battery for a 2300kv motor
+Joel Salcedo I'm no expert but your motor specs should say the voltage recomended.
Why does your watch keep changing?
+prodrift101 apple watch. it turns on when you raise your wrist
Great video, but you gotta pick up the energy level brother.
+Solomon Parker yeah i know. i hate hearing myself speak in video. still getting use to it :)
+FlightClub I don't mean it as an insult or anything. It's a really great video. Just needs a little pep.
