      Ernest Perez What sound and music direction? Just Halo, Halo, Halo and more Halo? Doing the same kind of content over and over, for a creative, can be draining and lower their creative thinking and they just get worse at what they do. Variety is good. What a disgrace. Bungie used to be one of those devs where it seemed they cared, like a family of devs making great games. Now they are with Activision it seems money is a much bigger draw than actually caring about your staff, or fanbase for that matter. Two things made Halo what it is, its music, by Marty O'Donnell and the story written by Joseph Staten. Both of these people no longer work at Bungie. So take from that what you wish...

Bad on you Ign, coming like a buddy and then attacking him. You can see him be a bit uncomfortable and the halo community has so much respect for him. I can see that the conversation turned however but I think the opening of this clip could have been handled differently. So thumbs down on this one.

    Marty O'Donnel is one of the best people in the games industry, massive inspiration for me.

  • @RiderZer0
    @RiderZer0 8 лет назад +1

    There was fault in both sides. Activision undermined bungie's creative direction. They had Marty working on the destiny soundtrack. Activision made an E3 trailer and did not use Marty's music. Marty made that public on Twitter and it pissed off Activision. Several events afterwards ensued and Marty had displayed problems with authority and slacked way off and was not working well with the sound team and not meeting deadlines. He started dragging the whole project down and so Bungie had to fire him. Bottom line is that Mart O'Donnel is a loose cannon and Activision is a control freak. It wasn't going to work.

    This interviewer sounded like special needs for the first minute.
    Bungie did Marty a favor though. Whether it was supposed to be played out this way or not, Marty is not with what is now 343, the downfall of Halo. I'd like to see him continue in another adventure, but Halo's music is too iconic to be anywhere else.

Just say Marty O'Donnell, I get that you guys love click bait and the word fired sounds better than some guy named Marty that a majority of our viewers don't know who he is.

    Love Ryan, love Unfiltered, (and I mean this as constructive criticism) but Ryan has to get out of his own way as an interviewer. Simple, direct questions will allow the subject to speak. These should be about the subject, not the interviewer. These obtuse, never-ending questions hurt way more than they help. With practice, he'll get better.

    I listen to Halo's soundtracks almost everyday, the music marty and michael salvatori made together is some of the best to ever come out of a video game, I really hope the marty is able to start up his own business of former halo devs, to make a new franchise that will out do destiny (shouldnt be hard) and once again have a franchise that i love, or 343 needs to take them, so that they can save halo, cause its dying
