loved the expression on your face man! Haley is all that. plus maybe the best vocalist of this era. Not many can match her ability to switch her techniques. She can note for note with Xtina low to high and all the textures she goes through in 1 song is just stunning. I think a lot of reactors miss out on her originals Like "Lay it Down' or "I Don't know how to Love you" try them.
Been to three concerts in Denmark. It's one hell of an experience each and every time! Go - go - go! Scott Bradlee (the mastermind at the piano) never tours in Europe. Don't know why... But they are just a granted way to happiness 😉
I have seen PMJ live 3 times. I live in Santa Barbara, and they are based in LA. Every show is unique with a constantly changing collection of the most talented artists around. They can do everything live that you get in a video, but better. Once the pandemic is over you can be sure they will be back in Europe. Haley is no longer a regular with PMJ, but don’t worry, there are many other artists with incredible talent in their shows. Haley also tours solo, so check her website.
So Jealous! I've been to LA once myself and would love to see them perform there in the future. Thanks so much for watching and stay tuned for more PMJ Reactions very soon!
Yea the instrument is the Trumpet with a mute as others said. The Trombone player also has a mute. you get some jazzy sounds using those. As for your reaction to Haley, I understand man I understand. How she can get that air flow support in her voice with that incredible looking dress that is quite .. snug.. well i dont know.
The dress is a deliberate nod to the style of song. It's a New Orleans Dirge style song and Haley is wearing a gold and black dress which are the colours of the New Orleans Saints football team.
The uber sultriness that is a trademark of Haley... man... i never had a celebrity crush in my life, but she's dang close to being one lol. She such a captivating woman, voice and personality. The instrument in the middle is a regular trumpet but he uses a damper to create that muffled sound that is so common in Jazz, i love that sound. I just love how different this arrangement is compared to the original song, yet still is very much recognizable as a White Stripes song. Let's not ignore Scott Bradley either, the bandleader/pianist/composer/founder of Postmodern Jukebox, how talented he is as well. But the best part i feel is that his work allows the singers to shine, the whole music arrangement is geared towards highlighting the vocalists they work with. Sometimes i hear people say "the arrangement is ok but they could have added this or that and maybe done this or that extra" and that always surprises me to be honest. Sure he could make the arrangements more complex, but that would muddy the composition and it would take focus away from the singers, that is not what his goal is. I've been a sound technician for quite a few years (retired) and i know very well "the art of leaving things out" instead of adding more. (in music like this, the rule is "less is more") And that "less is more" rule is followed to perfection in PMJ, Scott understands this rule very well and practices it his compositions. Hmm i think i'll cut my post short here lol, if i dont i know myself to write entire books as a reply hehehe, so... i'll restrain myself here so i got something left for future reactions ;) Thnx for the react Niko, loved every second of it :)
Great 👍🏽 Reaction. Haley has such Dynamic Vocals. 🙇🏻♀️🇺🇸🔍🎼🎵🌟👏🏽. Her ability to Cover Jazz, 60’s Rock and Soul Genres is Amazing. Please review her Song “Don’t know how to Love ❤️ You”. Her Musical Talent and Style just Amazes me every time. The music 🎼 definitely makes me nostalgic for Artists who can really Sing. Your so fortunate to hear Haley Reinhardt as her TALENT is influenced by Great Performers from several Golden Era’s. Thanks for posting this and sharing your support and appreciation. Haley is definitely under rated and hasn’t received the publicity that she clearly deserves. What else can be said, “Phenomenal “. Stay Safe and Positive. 👍🏽👸🏻👏🏽
She did a live performance of “I Don’t Know How To Love You” live in an historic Austrian hotel with orchestra backing direct to vinyl. It’s an incredible experience. ruclips.net/video/fbEW8BrNctI/видео.htmlsi=Ayvp5UFB4yFauEms
Below is a live performance of Haley Reinhart singing "Lovefool" with PMJ at the former Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, CA. This particular video is exceptionally clear and the sound quality is just as good as the PMJ music video. However, the reason why I'm providing a link to this particular performance is because first, it is an incredibly sexy performance and also, so you can see with your own eyes what it was like to watch Haley Reinhart during one of their live concert from the audience. I'd love to see you react to this particular performance because Haley is not only very beautiful but also incredibly sexy in this performance at the same time. Enjoy. ruclips.net/video/MIpxmVEoGKs/видео.html
Do "Oops, I Did it Again" again with PMJ next. As her vocal control in that performance and her body movements are off the charts. She does look a bit chunky in that particular video, but that is because the camera lens distorted her figure. As I've seen her live several times and her body is absolutely perfect. Since, you listed Rock as one of your favorite genres, I bet "Don't Know How To Love You" written and performed by Haley Reinhart would blow you away. See the link to it i posted below: Would love to see your reaction. ruclips.net/video/v7-nf_vqwe8/видео.html&pbjreload=101
Harmony, rythm, melody, singing. Music. No Autotune, no studio fake tricks neither samplings. True musicians. Hip-hopers, rappers and pathetic pop singers, drop you f... shit, go back to school and learn how to make music and sing.
That dress is a genuine museum piece that was lend to her, I kid you not.
Another great arrangement for a truly elite vocalist. Thier collaborations really set a high bar for expectations, but they never disappoint.
center instrument is a muted trumpet...the trombone is also using a brass mute.

She's got something to her, that's for sure! Got any recommendations on what I should react to next? Can be anything.

Amen brother, amen. Thanks for the reaction.
It looks like they are in Germany in October 2021. Got my tickets for the UK in September.
Oh damn! Might have to grab a ticket myself then. Thanks so much for watching!

Love your review.

The instrument at the middle might be das Trompete for its high pitch
This is set to New Orleans type jazz. Her black and gold dress is the team colors of the New Orleans Saints football team. Coincidence?

It's cigarette and "cold" shower. ;)
That's a trumpet
That instrument is trumpet with a mute.
I believe those are Harmon mutes, can't tell if with, or without stems.
Listen to Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart do "I'll Take Care of You" ... You will love her voice.

I’ve watched many reactions to this song, but none that have interrupted it so repeatedly at the wrong times. Talk about killing the rhythm
Great reaction FAR TOO MANY PAUSES
