This is the real treble. So many academy players in the squad, no sugar daddy, no 5 subs, no big squad, up against the best Arsenal team in the PL imo, much harder run in the FA Cup with Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal & Newcastle. GS with Bayern & Barca in the UCL and then having to play Inter, Juve, Bayern in the KO rounds, who had so many legendary players in their teams. This is the Treble. The real Treble!
Watching this is Theraphy for all of us fan Tonight.
My friend, in our current time, the clubs have very little use for the academy It's okay that Arsenal was difficult this season and scored more points than the 1999 version, and we faced Chelsea, United and Arsenal in the cup, and in the champions Bayern, Real and Inter
Couldn't have put it better!
Not a United fan but I can say that the original is always the best!
Cry😂😂
Peter Schmeichel penalty save and Giggs changed the FA cup around.... How many come back wins they did that season was amazing
It was a season like no other, the smallest of margins imaginable creating stories all season long. Beckham scores a last minute equaliser on the opening day that paid dividends in may just to name one
2:24 I always love that 'header' motion Sir Alex does when he witnesses a cross from his team. Like his old striker instincts kicking in😆👏🏻🙌🏻💥
Every time I hear "Solksjaer!!" Goosebumps! Incredible!
But he sucks as manager
"Everything their heart's desired".
"Sherringham"..Name on the trophy."
"Manchester United Have Reached The Promise Land"
Football, bloody hell..
Solskjaer
Nearly had a heart attack watching the Champions League final. Now that's FOOTBALL!👍👍
Andy Cole was truly instrumental for the treble
So do Roy Keane and David Beckham
@@MrKAKARONALDOMESSI And Yorke
Mate, THE player by far and away most instrumental for that season was one, Roy Keane.
Becks was rob of the ballon d'Or that year ahead of Rivaldo, after a catastrophic world cup for England 🏴
goalcole
One of if not the best year of my time on this earth... What a year 🙌🙌🙌
How I wish I could go back to 1996
This is still fresh in my very memory. What a night! Goose-bumps-stuff...
I hitchhiked from Lancaster to Bristol to watch it in black & white with my late best friend.I saw us win the FA Cup against Chelsea & the league against Middlesbrough there too
i've watched the final on tv and still remember the emotion i felt. got goosebumps every time i rewatch the MU v Muenchen Final....1998-99 was the perfect season for MU. Sir Alex GOAT
Those are the days memories happy memories man u..
..
Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke chemistry was amazing and was an instrument part in the treble
Why would they not mention the greatest player in that great great team Our brilliant Captain Roy Keane.
100%, by far and away the main reason for the achievements of that year. Legend.
@@michealocaoinlean6176 a legend who should be in fcking jail for crimes
Sometimes you have to pinch yourself that this really happened and Citys treble is not a patch on it.A very good Arsenal team that won the double the previous season, the FA Cup run was hard having to come from behind against Liverpool and that unreal semi final against Arsenal and the run to the CL was incredible from the semi final comeback to the Nou Camp and not forgetting Bayern hit post and crossbar.Incredible memories for United fans.
Amazing Steve Mc Claren he was here
Memories happy memories happy memories
I WAS THERE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE .
2:40 the Look on them Scouse Faces. Priceless.
Such an amazing season with so many stand out moments apart from actually winning the trophies who can ever forget that Schmeichel penalty save followed by probably the best FA Cup goal I've ever seen and it wasn't just a touch of magic in an ordinary game the whole game was a proper end to end cup battle that didn't have a dull moment and against the biggest rivals of ours at the time and credit to Arsenal they really gave us a game that day and on another occasion could of won but also we can not forget that our first goal by Beckham was a beauty too, In my opinion Becks doesn't get the plaudits he deserves, incredible player week in week out never less than 7/10 performance and often gave a 9 or a 10.
Then that incredible night in Turin what a performance which was a perfect example of the teams spirit, desire and never say die attitude all topped off with Roy Keane giving the most unselfish captains performance you could wish to see, sharing a pitch with Edgar Davids & Zidane yet Keane was a different class. That game against Juventus is my second all time favorite Manchester United game beaten only by the time we overcame a 2 nil 1st leg score against Barcelona but when they came to Old Trafford 2 goals from Bryan Robson and one from Frank Stapleton gave us the win. Diago Maradona was in the Barcelona team but hardly got a sniff of the ball & the fans ran on the pitch at full time and carried the players off on their shoulders.
GGMU
ETH is going to take us back to those days of glory.
Love Manchester United Forever Naka ♥️ Tong 🐶#MUFC
What a great achievement and a great time my Son was also born in 99 3/9/99 how’s that for a treble 3 is definitely the magic number GGMU 🔰😁👍🏼🏴
Amazing!
But that would've been the following season.
@@FootkerSnookball I’m so glad you mentioned that his birthday is 9/3/99 🤷🏼♂️ March 9th 🤦🏼♂️ I must have thought I was American when I wrote this when I 1st read your comment I replied are you American until I looked at what I wrote 🤷🏼♂️ sorry bout that ✌🏼💙👍🏼🏴
There’s a few things that happened that season that involved the number 3 one I remember is we got beat 3 times that season & each defeat the other team scored 3 goals there’s another but I can’t remember off the top of my head
Another thing I learned recently if you take the numbers 3 6 & 9 when you add either number or all them together you always end up with a number that is a multiple of 3 or start with 3 then keep adding 3 it always makes a number that can be multiplied by 3 - take either number & just keep adding the same number again 9+ 9 = 18 which if you add 1 & 8 it equals 9 or 3x 9 is 27 which is 2+ 7 =9 or 6x9 = 54 5+4 =9 and so on no matter how you do it it will always make a number that can be a multiple of 3 sorry for the rant but I found this fascinating ancient peoples used this numerology and apparently it’s is the number of the universe you can check out plenty vids on this on RUclips I just found it was meant to be when we won the treble & it goes great with my sons dob 🤷🏼♂️👍🏼🏴 here’s a short vid that explains better - ruclips.net/video/GnEWOYKgI4o/видео.html
Fergie’s reaction to the Giggs was ecstatic. Even he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Cole was a superb striker!!
Going back into time won't make us winners again😢
Ah the good ole days when extraordinary things were achieved without 115 charges and nation states, the only English club ever to complete the treble
God I loved football then.
Manchester is red
It’s almost like they said to the opposition, you score first that way you have the advantage and then after that we’ll beat you 😂
Sadly watching this now as city will probably repeat this great feat this year.

Are there really people out there who doubt Beckham's ability? Nobody who knows anything about football, that's for sure. He had a magic wand of a right foot.
Robbed of the ballon dor that season
@@barrymckenna8547 he was truly unreal. He got hate cause he was good looking. The Real Madrid players soon learned who he was. When he first got there they’d not pass him the ball. That didn’t last long. He was class
Wouldn’t get in the current England squad though. Too many wingers ahead of him
@@robertcooke963 your joking right?
People who don't rate Beckham never watched him play. They'll look at some stats and think he was alright but watching him play for club and country, he was absolutely unreal. One of the saddest days of my childhood when United sold him to Madrid.
The Class of ‘99 is, and will always be, my favourite…
I don't think it can be surpassed, in my lifetime anyway. Other teams have done it but people miss the story, all those utterly intense dramatic games against great sides to just get to the champs league final. I close to never use the word magical but it is applicable to the run in for Utd that year.
Manchester City TREBLE 2023
The disrespect going about in the media just now to this team with what they achieved attempting to compare them to city is crazy. Nowhere close to what this team had to overcome, the level of opposition then compared to now is night and day! Levels.
33 games unbeaten to get there!
The starting XI from every team who couldn't stop this treble United:
Oliver Kahn (Bayern)
Javier Zanetti (Inter)
Bixente Lizarazu (Bayern)
Ciro Ferrara (Juventus)
Lothar Matthaus (Bayern)
Zinedane Zidane (Juventus)
Alessandro del Piero (Juventus)
Roberto Baggio (Inter)
Luis Figo (Barcelona)
Ronaldo Nazario (Inter)
Rivaldo (Barcelona)
Bench:

Andrea Pirlo (Inter)
Didier Deschamps (Juventus)
Diego Simeone (Inter)
Filipo Inzaghi (Juventus)
Markus Babbel (Bayern)
Ivan Zamorano (Inter)
Frank de Boer (Barcelona)
Antonio Conte (Juventus)
Paolo Sousa (Inter)
Daniel Fonseca (Juventus)
Xavi (Barcelona)
Phillip Cocu (Barcelona)
Thierry Henry (Juventus)
Gianluca Pagliuca (Inter)

Ole Gunner Solkjear
Peter Schmicheal (last carrier player end 1999)
Dwight Yorke
Andy Cole
Eric Cantona (resigned end of 1997)
Teddy Sheringham
Ryan Giggs
Those were best players of the 1998-1999 MU
How have you dropped Eric catona in there pmsl 😂
Cantona retired in 1997.
😂😂😂
Japp Stam
that FA Cup semi against arsenal.. the League going down to the final day. the entire UCL run, having to beat a Juventus team stacked with legends and then Bayern in the final. city might win a treble this season but its always seemed much easier for them than it ever was for us back then, and therefore it will never be as impressive as United
Am always proud to be a Manchester United fan
Despite the lows and highs we have had over the years since Sir Alex left, we will continue to enjoy our moment together as Manchester united family
Erik Ten Hag is bringing joy tho🙏🏾
What you talking about?? What's to enjoy! Add you ole?! If you are you wasted years of playing Maguire and Ronaldo
The second leg against Juventus was one of the best games ever.
and maybe one of the best performances from a player ever in Roy Keane that night.
How the hell Beckham didn't get Ballon Do'or that year?
Who won?
@@ArmLegLegArmHead47 Rivaldo
I remember being a young kid, dressed up in my champions full league kit for this. ‘Kin hell I still get goosebumps watching teddy put that equaliser in ❤
I think our current squad should watch this eften to get that feeling ❤❤they can do it too but ten hag needs to be hard on them every day
That season Manchester United became the best football club in Europe and the World !!!!
Treble winners!!!
wonderful memories
Best season ever🏆🏆🏆
Absolutely
The greatest and most dramatic season in football history. Nothing comes close to the drama and gripping suspense of the 99 season..AMAZING.
Football, bloody hell.
My brother Jackson loves Man united and is going to the game against Sevilla this week! We are from Australia, and I’m only 7 years old. My uncle Matt follows Arsenal and they are doing really well. My dad follows Blackburn and he is really sick of those cunts letting him down every week. He told me the water that comes out of the tap at Ewood Park is sewage and they probably swallow faeces before games that’s why they play badly. Anyway enough from me, cheerio 😊
The clearest Video out there on that season
Not a Man United fan but I rate their treble more than Man City's.
One of the best teams the Premiership has ever seen
Went to around 40+ games that season including both the FA cup and Champions league final and now watching absolute dross compared to this team.
Fred,Mctominay,Maguire,Martial,Antony,Sancho,Dalot and a few more wouldn’t have made the reserve team at the time, how standards have dropped.
Best memory of the 90s literally came in the last year. Probably best memory ever I taped the champions league final on vhs and for years I would watch it over and over and even today when I watch this it still brings me right back to that moment it's magic 🎩 ✨️ ❤️
Manchester United taught me to "Never give in".
I remember watching the finals on satellite tv in Ghana. Ohfff, what a year it was! I'll never forget ❤
Paul Teather oh blimey, have you seen that British football player play? He's a proper legend on the pitch, I tell ya. He's got a real knack for scoring goals and his footwork is absolutely top notch. I reckon he's one of the best players in the league, no doubt about it. He's got that classic British grit and determination, its a shame the lad was injured. Cheers to that bloke!
Destiny
It was a season to remember. Won't forget the 3 celebrations after winning the league then the fa cup and the big one .Thanks Andy O for the headaches but we enjoyed it didn't we.DAVE.
Oh those were the days! It's that upscaled video? It looks fantastic
Best summer of my life. I was 16 years old and the boys did the impossible. #ggmu x

Don't let Manchester city ruin all of Manchester United's achievements
fucking love the united, any other fan has no clue what united have been through, from the glory treble to the oil scum that is city. football just isnt football anymore.

The went from a absolute elite team, to a joke. It's a waste, and hopefully the will return where the belong

5:28 Final Matchday Premier League
Best season for utd
Bro listen to commentator on final ucl everything there heart desire
For anyone interested, Matt Dickenson's book, "1999" chronicles the season and is well worth a read. Lots of behind the scenes stories from players getting into fights, to Dwight Yorke enjoying himself immensely.
at that time where is manchester city?
I heard Joe Royal had them setting up the traffic cones for open top bus tour 😂
Still remember being in the local with my gang of mates at the time, all of us were UTD fans and stood near the door ready to leave as soon as the final whistle went. Turned out to be one of the best nights ever, partied hard all night, amazing days!
TELL ME HOW YOU CAN WATCH THIS VIDEO IF YOU DIDNT LIVE IT FIRST HAND AND NOT THINK BECKS WAS ROBBED OF BALLON DOR 99.. TELL ME HOW?
TELL ME HOW BECKHAM ISNT THE MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER IN MAN UTD HISTORY BARRING OFCOURSE SIR BOBBY.
