sn0wchyld unlikely that it'll be terrifying? Because if you're talking about just the creation of it then you clearly ignored the first part of that person's comment where they said they understood how it impractical it was.
***** unlikely that its _possible_, rather than much less practical. the whole reason its possible to make something jump that high is (in part) because it is small and light. if it was double the size, it would weigh roughly 8 times as much, all else being equal. scaled to a car size, is what, 8x the current size? that's 512 times the weight. granted, not everything is going to scale linearly with size. the camera on the front for instance wouldn't get any larger with a larger robot - but the point remains that the weight and thus forces involved in jumping like that increase at an exponential rate vs the actual size of the robot. Hence, 'there's a reason elephants look the way they do'.
If anyone wants to know how this thing works, it has a little rubber piston in the back of the car. It then raises itself up onto the little nubs underneath it, and the piston is charged with CO2 and smacks it against the ground, propelling it up and forward. Shit's cool as shit, yo
