I don’t recall that being there when I grew up on Albert Avenue in the 60s. I remember both greens were well used and I have it my head that there was ‘the old man’s pavilion’ and another club house. The kiosk from my time was adjacent to the tennis courts.
You aren't alone as I don't really remember it either but it was there, I've seen the photos ha ha It's amazing the things we don't always remember. The hut I am thinking of was just a little tiny one, I'm sure it burnt down or something like that.
Remember the metal drinking fountain beside the paddling pool, you would turn the handle and a little jet of water used to pop up, tasted bloody awful.
