Let me say something I have been watching you for a good min and you have been one of most sincere reviewers and I completely agree with everything you said in this video, please don't apologize.
I'm fairly happy with mine. The main problem I have with it is the machine gun turret that cannot look up and down and the lack of details on the dashboard. I will be painting a few of the details on mine and enjoy that process. I think Vala will probably release a new gun for the turret in the future, he tends to do stuff like that.
You shouldn't worry about people getting angry if you say something negative because you are giving an honest review. You are not shilling and giving your honest opinion and I think thats why people like watching your reviews
I haven’t even watched this yet, but I gotta say, I’ve been waiting for your review more than anybody else’s. I know you don’t pull any punches and you tell it like it is. Mine should be here Friday.
It feels like a solid first attempt even though there are some problems. Hopefully, the team will gain a lot of experience with this vehicle and will fine tune future releases.
I have the desert version and I think your review is fair. The top gun not aiming up or down is an odd choice, even if it's to allow for the weight of blast effects. The other machine gun is definitely lacking in details. The vehicle is a real world one so the lack of sculpting is maybe accurate? Not sure. The VAMP is more detailed and therefore they look odd next to one another. The size is nice, the chairs moving is a good touch. But I think this overall lacks details and some features, like the hatch opening. Edit: I also feel like Gridiron adds to an existing product. It doesn't fix them. Ordered some things for my Stinger after watching several of your reviews. My Stinger is fine out of the box. But i want variety so bought a second one and some Gridiron parts to make it a new, armored menace. Keep doing what you're doing. I appreciate the honesty, including that you aren't the purchaser.
Thank you. Hearing what you said means a lot and reassures me that what I’m doing it helping people when it comes to deciding if they should or shouldn’t. As for letting the people know if I bought it or not, I think it’s only fair to let them know the whole truth.
@@Apunkwithtoys I agree, especially on items that expensive. What I appreciate is a review that isn't harsh just for clicks and laughs. I think everything you said was sincere. I do think that's good to report, lets people know your investment in it.
I think this will be great for customizers, though they should have tried to do something that would look high level for those of us who want to enjoy it out of the box. That being said, it looks like a pretty decent translation of its real world inspiration. I didn't go anywhere near this since I'm from Canada and I'd get destroyed on the exchange and import duties. I have a tough enough time justifying the figures themselves, let alone a vehicle.
Great review APT!! 28:54 Love that gridiron bushmaster chaingun on the top. I'm guessing they purposely went with the non elevating up and down twin guns because the "HUGE" blast effect keeps it going limp.😂 My tan and grey Vanguards scheduled to arrive today. First order of business is dissasembly and chop chop chop it up for mods. Painting both as I don't like the plastic finish.
My god you did your thing on this review homie!! Very good shit. I think it looks fine, it does mostly what it's supposed to do haha...no need to apologize about things. Folks are gonna say what they're going to say. But the fact that you went through and showed us all the little details you could is much appreciated, especially since its not even yours! Hats off Lawrence. Ya did good!
Good review. Bummed it looks so bland on small details. I got one as a generic SUV for all 1/12 use. Considering Vala prides themselves on real word military equipment, the fail on the turret, and no engine, and some other details is really surprising. The $184.99 all in pre-order price I paid has to include a Rezvani license fee. Looking forward to modding mine. I have this and the Stinger arriving this week. The 1/12 shelve is getting packed with vehicles!
I know Gridiron said they will not be supporting Valaverse or the Vanguard, but I really wish they'd reconsider. I'd love for them to make a "Upper Class Suburban Mom Load Out" for it. It could include some child car seats, Kohl's, Dillards, and Hobby Lobby shopping bags, and a limited edition Stanley tumbler for it.
@@Apunkwithtoys I wouldn't either, and I fully support Gridiron's stance on the matter. My load-out suggestion was meant to highlight the irony of Vala overhyping something that is essentially a soccer mom SUV.
Thanks for the unbiased review my man. I just followed you. I don’t like how so many RUclipsrs kiss ass just because they’re getting sent shit for free.
I do like the Vanguard and I'm waiting for the notification to get my order. In general for me, it's a good vehicle to fill with a lot of action figures. Unfortunately in my country, Colombia, it's not easy to find vehicles at this scale (with notorious exception of the upcoming Nightwolf from Invincible Toys) so the Vanguard for me fills that gap. That being said, I must mention that both Bobby Bee and You did a lot of fair criticism about the Vanguard. The Vanguard it's not a horrible toy or anything like that, but it misses in details, painting, sculpt and those issues with it's weapon systems are hilarious and it shows that probably they cutted a lot of corners with this release and it's a little bit far from being a perfect toy. Bobby Vala maybe needs to put down his arrogance, stop trashing others people work and start to take real criticism about his toys. He is surrounded by a lot of people that only tells him that everything that he makes it's perfect and the excessive hype created towards the Vanguard (as a haslab killer or anything like that) it's a good example about that attitude.
Thank you. You said a lot of what I have been saying, especially in that second paragraph there. It’s not a horrible toy by any means, but I don’t think it’s nearly as good as it was made out to be.
Rather than drilling a hole in the roof hatch, just glue a magnet in the center of it underneath, and put the corresponding magnet on the bottom of the gridiron turret.
@@Apunkwithtoysso, I’ve got some VERY strong mini magnets that I believe would hold through that plastic. I have a vanguard on the way, so I’ll let you know when I get a chance to test it.
Solid review. I have this thing sitting in front of me right now and it’s really not a good product. Yes, it feels and looks cheap. It should be much easier to get the figures in there and once they’re in there it’s way too tight.
Driver/Reaper looks kinda bland. Also some people have pointed out how awful the gaps are resulting from their version of drop-down hips, and I 100% agree. Vehicle looks OK to me from some angles, and if I were to get one I'd get the "muddy" one. I really do like some Valaverse figs and for the right price I might've got caught up in the excitement and ordered one of these... but @ $185 isn't the right price for me here, even though it comes with a lot of stuff, the looks just aren't entirely there for me... IMO, the VAMP/Stinger are just waaay more iconic and satisfying to look at. My feelings are lukewarm on the Vanguard at best... 🤷♂️ room temperature, more like it. And with the turret issues, etc. just... nah Good, fair review. 👍🏻
Good video and fair criticism. I have my Vanguard and Stinger both coming hopefully soon. I will be doing a little customizing to make mine just how I like it and then I am going to fix the blast effects on the Stinger to not be backwards and all will be good in the world. Have a great rest of your day.
Thanks for the review. Cancelled my preorder. Watching your review I thought I could just paint it to add some detail but the plastic looks so cheap and just plain bland. Thanks again
Great review of this vehicle. After watching this review I think I am going to sell mine or at least get my money back if they haven’t shipped it yet. I know I had more fun with the VAMP then what I will with this vehicle. I also don’t even want to open it and mess with it when it does come in because everything on here seems cheap and just plain boring. I got the desert tan one but haven’t received it yet so I am going to try and cancel my order tomorrow and get my money back. I wasn’t even that impressed with the flying machine that he announced at JoeFest. I am sure my local toy store will give me some good money for this paper weight. Also, I even feel that some of his newer figures coming out are kind of bland/boring. The last thing too is that Gridiron Studios genuinely dislike this company and won’t be releasing any upgrades for it to make it any better so selling/trading this is the best option.
I think Gridiron not doing upgrades for this is huge, they would have sold so many more if they did. With that said, there are some other good 3D printers making stuff that may do stuff for this to help upgrade it.
@@Apunkwithtoys I just received my desert tan one yesterday and because of your review I was very let down with this. The box it comes in was more exciting to me than the actual vehicle. I really hate the turret, it just feels so cheap, and for the fact that the guns cannot go up or down, along with the fact the figure just hangs in the air is very annoying. Also the back gun, ammo box, and short ammo belt should have come assembled together like the turret gun did. Thankfully I pre-ordered this vehicle because the missile launcher looks 10 times better than the turret or horrible turret hatch. The gas cans inside the vehicle make absolutely no sense and if you leave them out they you have these square holes inside which sucks. I hate the front windshield, the VAMP window was 100 times better as it was tinted and can flip down which is awesome. The wheels of this vehicle remind me of the VAMP and look so weak but at least Gridiron likes Hasbro enough to provide us with the cooler looking tires. I don't like the front winch as the sides are so thin and smooth that rolling the string back up takes too much effort. Some things I like about it are the removeable doors, easy to take off and put back on. The missile launcher was my favorite part of this vehicle. the missiles look great, pop in just fine and the fire effects look pretty nice except you cannot have the back door open if you have the rear fire effect of the missiles in the back of the launcher. At least the missile launcher goes up a click too, that made me happy. The tires turning is a nice touch but really not needed. The driver figure has some nice paint applications and a lot of additional hands even though the gun looks cheap and kind of stupid. the pegs on the side is convenient but too bad there are no "no-shit" handles to hold on to. I also do like the inside of the vehicle, the moveable seats are nice and figures are somewhat easy to put in and take out. I guess we can't expect perfection with Valverse's first released vehicle but Bobby has been in this business for a long time and could have given us a better product. It doesn't make you look better to give us a reasonably priced vehicle that feels cheap and comes with cheap looking accessories/attachments. Kind of wish there wasn't bad blood between Gridiron and Valaverse so we can get some proper upgraded that look and feel better. I am still up in the air on whether or not I want to sell the vehicle. My wife keeps telling me to keep it, buy some brown paint and camo it up since I don't feel the stickers that come with this would make it look any better. I also got in my two Stingers yesterday so I am excited to attach my Gridiron accessories to that bad boy but I think I like the VAMP more. How do you feel about the three Lawrence? VAMP, Stinger, or Vanguard?
@@whiskeytangofoxtrot2 honestly, if you already have it and any kind of model building experience, I’d paint it. Even a simple black wash on the turret would go long way.
@@machineman6498 don’t have much experience painting models but nothing is saving that gun turret, that thing to me is horrendous, the missile launcher was definitely the correct addition to the top of the vehicle but I would like to add some black camo patterns if I don’t decide to sell it first
I picked up the grey one too. It came in during the work week, so I'll break it out today and see. It's interesting to see the compromise between the real world design cues (the lack of detail on the wheels is accurate to the rezvani) and the seeming vintage toy inspired cues (the tow hitch). I get where some choices were cost saving, but the dash looks so basic in these reviews, and that lack of a hinge on the guns is almost unforgivable. I'm thinking of using mine as a vehicle for the Crimson Twins. It's got an Extensive Enterprises feel to it, and the CG's will look good with the grey. OR it'll be the vehicle for my Night Ops Steel Brigade.
I wish this vehicle looked more aggressive. The front end remind’s me of Herbie The Love Bug! It can hold up to 10 action figures. I guess then you can call it “ Herbie fully Loaded” ;)
I ordered the muddy stealth gray Vanguard. After watching several review videos, I have a feeling I’m going to regret it. Bobby Vala talks a lot about how his toys are better than Hasbro, and he bashes Hasbro quite a bit. I’m just not seeing how the Vanguard is any better than the mid size vehicles Hasbro has put out so far. In just looking at video reviews of the Vamp and the Vanguard, the Vamp seems to be better overall quality and gives more bang for the buck (value). The driver the Vanguard looks like a complete throwaway figure. I’m seriously hoping that, once I have it in hand, I find out the Vanguard is much better than the reviews show.
Feels good to see an honest Valaverse review lol, wasn’t really a fan of it way before and after seeing it throughly, my mind hasn’t changed. Great work though
Its cool, but reminds me of a cartel tank more than a military vehicle.......adding machine guns etc to a civilian suv .....but it would be cool as a regular vehicle in a marvel legends set up, or a punisher/shield vehicle
Thank you Lawrence for your honest opinion on it. I can't see anyone including Bobby being upset over your non-biased opinion. You didn't set out to bash or shill for the Vanguard. You just gave your thoughts on it. Good job brother 👍🏿
I was actively looking for an ubiased review on this and finally got it. I have been on the fence, but the crazy hype most reviewers creat around Bobby Vala and Valaverse just because he plays the edgelord bro made me thinking twice. I have had a couple of action force figure and they are kind of generic and boring. I did not know the turrent was fixed and the lack of engine... that is kind of a deal breaker for such an expensive piece. I could still get it, if find it om disccount tho.
Thank you, this means a lot to me. I try and be honest and unbiased in all my reviews, sadly when someone worships a company and you don’t say everything positive about the product, you’re a hater. I’m glad you were able to get a little out of the review before making your decision.
It reminders me of the knock off 3 3/4 inch Joe stuff I used to see in the 80s. It’s not for me and I hope everyone that wants one gets one. Very fair review Punk!
Sweet looking vehicle! ... However, I am really disappointed that it didn't come with the tent/inflatable mattress package that the Pontiac Aztek was well known (and loved) for.
Great review. But the vanguard seems to validate WHY Hasbro didn’t want to do 6inch vehicles. Seems like they are REALLY hard to do “rightL or “well”. Getting the size right is hard (why didn’t buy it). Lot more details to work out and of course this affects price the more or less details. And the details are missed. Thanks for the review. And this makes me like my VAMP even more!
I'll take the VAMP all day long over this thing, even though I love Rezvani. My only complaint about the VAMP and Stinger would be the tires. After seeing what Gridiron did, I don't understand why Hasbro didn't do that. Oh well!
If you can't take criticism then you are in the wrong business as they say. My first RUclips video sucked and I know it but thats how I got better. Baby steps in the toy world I guess. This way we can see how good a multimillion-dollar toy company like Hasbro really is.
As a large part of any wheeled vehicles appearance, it bothers me that these rims are unpainted. It's the one big thing that's makes it look cheap on display. Vamp/Stinger has the same problem to a slightly lesser degree. At least Vanguard has deeper and more realistic treads. Driver helmet sucks. Otherwise decent play features out of the box.
Excellent fair review. I'm sure there will be those who will come after you for not speaking only good things about it, but if you aren't honest what's the point of reviewing it.
Thank you, that means a lot to me. I’m only giving my honest opinion and it may differ than others, but I do show you what I’m looking at while I give my thoughts and why.
If you were to get a clean standard version, the stealth gray is the way to go. It could use some weathering like bullet dings and scuffs. However, for the desert tan, it's way too clean. The muddy version is the way to go for that version. A desert terrain/ off-road vehicle has to be dirty/ muddy and weathered, not like it was just driven off the showroom floor.
Oh but for close to $200 I don’t feel I should have to customize something to make it look good, that’s just my opinion. I know many people do, but it should look good with no change if need be. I do agree with what you’re saying tho b
@Apunkwithtoys yeah no customization should be required. The lack of weathering stands out more because the Valaverse line is meant to be closer to a real-world replica. I don't hate it by any means, and I know trying to keep cost low was a big factor, but hopefully, the next military vehicle, Helicopter etc will incorporate this.
Cool review, it’s a neat looking vehicle. Looks similar to the one it was modeled after in Terminal List. Thankfully I don’t f with 1:12 figures…I’d be dead broke and I’m broke enough with Adventure Team.
At first look with nothing on it I can see that, but with all the stuff if has and can do it’s not. But the first impression is that it doesn’t seem like much and first impressions are huge.
@@Apunkwithtoys Well for a guy that prides himself on design & calls himself an "artist" (even though his drawings are extremely amateur & could be bested by a 12 year old) theres really no "design" in it! It proves the guy is creatively bankrupt using a existing vehicle with a hole cut in it for a unpractical turret. The only thing that required thought was the turret & it was botched! What else was added? A shovel & a winch? I mean come on its laughable if you really think about it & if this were any other company without the mindless following nobody would have really bought this at that price. If he would have went with a original vehicle design then maybe all those claims could be valid
I like this, but I still thank the VAMP is a better bang for the buck. You do get a lot of accessories with this, but I'm still not digging it enough to own.
Some design oversights and lack of detail painting really does make a difference with what would be considered a higher end product. Thanks for the review and candid thoughts. I passed on this because I thought it seemed oversized based on how a really Rezvani scales. They could have just did away with the rear gunner (considering his awkward sitting position) and tightened the scaling… Overall I would say it’s okay.. but not amazing.
I think my biggest complaint with this is that it feels so dull, and lifeless. It feels and looks like a dollar tree generic army man toy, it's just a car really. It doesn't have that hit that a fun Joe vehicle has, like a VAMP or a Stinger or a Ferret. It just looks like a mom minivan, good review but man that's a hard pass on my end.
Out of curiosity, I watched the whole thing. This is definitely not my thing, and leans just a little too real world to be interesting to me. Not into the design of the vehicle and agree that it’d feel even more impressive with more painted or pad printed deco. Just feels flat and leans more in the direction of a retail toy rather than a Not really into that reaper figure either, but the articulation looks pretty good. I guess I’d just like em to take a more bold design direction…feels fairly conservative and reserved. But I assume that’s more in line with the world they’re building and the preferences of their collectors. Still, cool to see em pull it off and this whole new era of 1/12 vehicles. Build quality seems good, and I do like their blast effects. But FWIW I totally see what you’re saying about some of the (lack of) details and design elements. Solid review. Thanks. ✌🏾➕✊🏾
Hey I agree with you The Vanguard vehicle looks like a cheap huge toy ,it is an easy pass. Maybe some talented customizers could add some dry painting and washes to make it pop . As it comes out of the box, it's not a vehicle I would like to own ,it's just too plain looking
Great overview of the Vanguard, Punk! I personally feel that Bobby rushed this to market to compete with the VAMP and it caused him to miss the mark with his first vehicle release. Cheap plastic materials, lack of sculpting details, an improper functioning hatch, no hood opening feature with engine details, lack of paint details, and an anti-air gun turret that does not go up and down? Not worth the price point. Hopefully Mr. Vala will put his arrogance aside, take notes and maybe his next vehicle release will be better executed.
Even if it’s based on a “real” vehicle, doesn’t change the fact it don’t look good. fits 3 kids and a stroller in the trunk with v8 engine.. I’d still rather get a sienna minivan 😂
I'm with you. This thing looks plastic as hell. Like a cheap dollar store toy. Some might say that about the Joe stuff, too, but Hasbro's stuff just looks way better in my opinion.
Well it seems very “cheap” looking. As for saying that about the Classified vehicles, I’m not sure what someone is looking at that says that cause they’ve stepped their game up so far with vehicles
Thanks for the thorough, honest review as always Lawrence. I'm glad I canceled my pre-order on this turd after Bobby blocked me on ig for being critical of his inconsistent plastic.
Without the stickers, it is definitely very plain and could’ve used some paint deco to really bring this thing to life. On a hole I like the figure his head seems about 5 to 10% too small.
Sound review. Tuff but fair. If I had been on the fence I would’ve gone for it. But these 1:12 vehicles are just too much for me. Do I want them, hell yeah I do. Can I store them hell no. I’d have to make a small parking lot out behind my garage and leave them outside lol
Still haven’t spotted one of these “hasbrah pisstank hate reviews without vanguard in hand” that supposedly exist out there according to “valashill reviewer” 😂. They can’t seem to hype up these toys without crapping on other people/toys and exaggerating the facts to justify their pettiness and hate 😂
I’ve only seen a couple reviews, one of them only praised Valaverse and bashed Hasbro. Funny thing is those guys don’t even like this guy and have personally attacked him so 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Finlaly got a vamp coming. Grabbed one of these. Grew up on Joe's. But i can see this being a better value than the vamp all day. Enjoy the channel. Review was as expected.
@@Apunkwithtoys I hear ya. Got the stinger coming also. I'm a variety is the spice of life type of guy. So I'm happy. I've got tons of ideas from you good stuff sir. Enjoy what you enjoy.
@@Apunkwithtoysfinally got a Stinger. The two vehicles are so different there is no comparison.....at all. Other than that it's a vehicle for action figures. Now I need a grey vanguard to go with the stinger. Because those 2 troops are gonna need some back up.😂. Both are fun. Can't wait for my vamp finally. Enjoy the day brother.
The missile launcher is sweet! The vehicle with doors on it and missile launcher is an interesting military vehicle. Play value is ok. Shame the window can’t be removed or lowered. A character firing a weapon out the window would be cool. They did take that into consideration with the VAMP/Stinger with drop down window. Vanguard can hold a lot of figures 7 plus easy. It does take up a good amount of space so holding figs is nice. Not sure how photos will look with figures in the vehicle. Do the windows obscure seeing them when doors closed? I don’t get the gun turrets not having up/down movement. Maybe he’ll make more support pieces and correct that. That got those cow catchers coming. Upgrade the turret. Having a pivoting hatch would be interesting too. I didn’t buy one. I do like the way it looks with missile launcher and the cow catcher. It has lots of personality. I may jump back in. I’m kind of liking that muddy look option too.
Good review, looks very basic, great for customizing and fact it can transport 10 figures. But otherwise it does seem a little bland and missing some detail to it.
I don’t think it compares well at all to the HISS, but the HISS is more. The HISS doesn’t look cheap, it has hard lines and nice detail on rivets and lines on the vehicle, the Vanguard has minimal lines and the detail it does have looks cheap. The interior on the Vanguard doesn’t have much and what it does have doesn’t pop. The HISS most things are too notch. I think the Vamp and Stinger are more comparable but even there, the detail is better. I hope I did a good job in the video showing off the stuff I am talking about.
I am so glad I didn't buy this piece of crap. And that's what this is We all should have known at the "lower" Price point what this was going to look like. It reminds Me of the knock-off Woolworth toys in the early 80s, just a shell with wheels. As much as Vala hyp'd this and downed Hasbro the Vamps and Stingers had way more detail at $100 than this did at almost or over $200. Guns were cheap even by Valas standards and no details not even stickers for the interior. Basic. Thanks, Lawrence for the honest review. I would have had to give up a lot of my 6-inch Joe figure budget for this glad I won't Be doing that now.
I admit that the no elevation is not good though i like the stickers because I don't have to remove anything before I add my own cobra logos. What's with the gridiron thing did they say somewhere they aren't doing anything?
That is a really good point with the stickers. Yes Gridiron has already said they will not be making anything for them since Bobby has personally attacked them on numerous occasions.
I would not pay more than $120 shipped for this thing. Also that driver figure looks cheaper than those generic action soldier figures from the dollar store. What a disappointment.
Well I can’t say you’re wrong when it comes to your money but I don’t think it’s an awful vehicle. Just feel it lacks the detail and feel for a $185 one.
I emailed valaverse and asked if I could return it. Not only did I order a stealth grey one and received a tan one. But I’m so unhappy with this bs. I maybe am gonna try to tape all the windows off etc and repaint it and send it back to them the way it’s supposed to look. Thought that would be funny
What was their response about replacing it with the proper color? The issue with asking for a refund is that they gave people everything that was promised, I just believe the quality and detail is a little less than what most people were led to believe they were getting. But if they sent you the wrong color, they should at least resolve that issue and they have been good in most customer service situations
I purchased both the Vamp and the Vanguard. I enjoyed your review. I want an unbiased review and then I can make up my own mind. You provided a review even though you didn’t purchase it. Don’t apologize on your own channel. Keep providing reviews.
Honestly, it’s decent first start but gives off a heavy “DIY blank” vibe without paint apps. Like a Munny/Dunny or blank Funko Pop with a consistent flat finish and the intent to customize. I’d like to see what you can do.
I ordered the muddy tan one bought a week ago . The only thing I’m disappointed in is there’s no basket for the Turret gunner !!! what is that about ? Does he have levitate ? Lmao
Hey you can 3d print your own very simple janky piece that makes it go up & down! Imagine what the 3POA crew would say if you had to do that for any other company that made a vehicle
Mine came earlier today and after watching this review. It’s still in the box. I don’t even want to open it. Does valaverse do returns ? I want my money back
Open it up and see for yourself if you like it or not. Reviews are important but sometimes it's just seeing it in hand that really determines the final verdict.
Watching your vid now... I like it I don't hate it but I can't afford it right now or justify the price of it I know he is a small company but mmmnm🤔🤔🤔 It's good but it looks cheap for the asking price! I do like it though 🎉🎉
@@Apunkwithtoys Even just picking out the rivets and hubcaps would go a long way in making look more finished. The guns not going up and down on the turret is baffling. Don't know how that got overlooked. Good honest review.
I’m not gonna come here to explicitly bash vala but the SECOND I saw the design I was not interested at all it looks like my least favorite car the pt cruiser and then when you get down to the nitty gritty the lack of detail in the spots that matter is a bit shocking. Then the lack of detail in the spots that “don’t” matter little hidden things and just care and detail in places that surprise the buyer whether the lid has a surprising articulation and door scheme that was designed but that takes tooling and actual finesse that this thing doesn’t have anywhere besides I’d argue the steering which actually I’d argue lacks the real thought and care that would go above and beyond including it in a way where you could still have an opening hood and engine.
I’d argue that the driver looks really cool I like how different he looks and I really think that it’s a real tough decision to not include a engine I don’t care if the wheel steering actually works I think you lose such a cool customizable and play aspect not adding a hood and engine
So... i have ordered a couple of these in tan and in grey. Lots of mixed reviews, which is a bit of a shame... but i guess, i am hoping to use for shield and Hammer Marvel legends scenes, so maybe it will work better in those instances. Main thing for me is thinking about what guns I can change out the turret for!
I can also attest to the helmet design being pretty well considered. Modern military vehicle crews need crew head sets that they can remove quickly, and they need to be able to put their eyes against the vehicles optic sights, so they tend to get smaller and lighter helmets, like a bike helmet.😅

Cupola gunners in vehicles like this tend to stand on extra ammo cans if the raised divider between the seats don’t reach high enough. More magnetic stuff for customizers to add, I suppose .
I bought the Vanguard and it’s ok but the exterior is very bland and the detail is far superior in the Hasbro vehicles. If I had known that Ramen Toys were coming out with tanks I might have saved the money for those vehicles.
You are telling me this costs just about 1 vamp and 2 gridiron kits? Little Bobby and his accolytes at vala hq were smoking too much crack when they set the pricing. this is 50$ rc minus the lights 😂😂😂
You can complain all you want but it’s out in the market now. Also the Vamp will still be a two seater vehicle and that back seat adapter is hardly worth it.
@@rokkieteller5421 have fun with puting 3 kids with stroller inside that suv, that's what is only good for. The gridiron kit with vamp makes it scream premium military vehicle unlike this milf suv over here

It feels like a solid first attempt even though there are some problems. Hopefully, the team will gain a lot of experience with this vehicle and will fine tune future releases.

Thank you for the review.

Good, honest and fair review, and I’m a guy that likes Action Force figures more than Classified. Thanks, Lawrence
You did your thing Punk . Good job homie.
Love that gridiron bushmaster chaingun on the top.
I'm guessing they purposely went with the non elevating up and down twin guns because the "HUGE" blast effect keeps it going limp.😂
My tan and grey Vanguards scheduled to arrive today.
First order of business is dissasembly and chop chop chop it up for mods. Painting both as I don't like the plastic finish.
I didn’t think about the blast effect causing an issue but you might be on to something. As for the Gridiron gun, makes the truck look way better.
That was solid review! A good representation of the Rezvani Tank tactical vehicle that it is based off of in real life.

Can't wait to see all the people complaining about "wash, rinse, repeat" when it comes to facts
Thank you. I have a feeling we’re gonna see a lot of customs come from this thing.
@@ManlyStubrick so did you see he’s got a free upgrade in the works for people who bought it. So you can’t complain about the turret anymore.
Well you can’t personally take shots at the owner and his company and think they’ll do anything to help you sell or enhance your line.
Why won't Gridiron make anything for Valaverse?

I’ve never tried that but I think the plastic would be too thick and the Gridiron turret might need to be modified to make it flushed
It’s not bad IMO, I just feel the detail is lacking.
And with the turret issues, etc. just... nah
Good, fair review. 👍🏻
Most of their figures look generic
Good video and fair criticism. I have my Vanguard and Stinger both coming hopefully soon. I will be doing a little customizing to make mine just how I like it and then I am going to fix the blast effects on the Stinger to not be backwards and all will be good in the world. Have a great rest of your day.
Fair review. Was expecting a little better quality and detail. I will still keep my preorder.
Thank you. I too thought the quality would be better especially after seeing the Ramen Racer.
Honestly I think this would make a great Crimson Twins vehicle. Them in their suits in the back being driven by a Crimson Guard.
I wish this vehicle looked more aggressive. The front end remind’s me of Herbie The Love Bug! It can hold up to 10 action figures. I guess then you can call it “ Herbie fully Loaded” ;)
LOL this comment for the win.
Thank you. I just try and tell you my honest feelings from what I see 💪🏼
Thanks for you honest review. I’m going to pass on this and get a Vamp MK2 and Tiger Sting.
You gotta love that coffee cup top😂😂😂
Its cool, but reminds me of a cartel tank more than a military vehicle.......adding machine guns etc to a civilian suv .....but it would be cool as a regular vehicle in a marvel legends set up, or a punisher/shield vehicle
I think that’s what a lot of people have been saying. It doesn’t look bad, it just doesn’t look military.
Yep ,it definitely looks like a Taliban vehicle to me
I think he was going for a contractor style vehicle. Looks good for what it is.
Thank you Lawrence for your honest opinion on it. I can't see anyone including Bobby being upset over your non-biased opinion. You didn't set out to bash or shill for the Vanguard. You just gave your thoughts on it. Good job brother 👍🏿

@@Apunkwithtoys Your welcome and even if they don't YOU know that pretty little " F " word that follows
Thank you. Honestly that is a pretty good description of what I think when I see it.
Sweet looking vehicle! ... However, I am really disappointed that it didn't come with the tent/inflatable mattress package that the Pontiac Aztek was well known (and loved) for.
Did that stuff come with the Aztek?
Man, the Stinger looks so much better lol. I will say; the rocket launcher is by far the best part of the Vanguard
Great review! Looks like I'm going to have to do a lot of customizing/breaking mine. 😂
Have fun making it “look good” 🤣
Would’ve been nice if it came with some decals for the interior, like with the dash/heads up display or some color detail to add to the doors.
Gridiron saves the Vanguard's life...lol.
That would be hilarious too
I think Gridiron has already said that they have no plans to support anything from Valaverse.
I already see some Gridiron options coming for the hatch and guns.

The figure stand has 5x more texture than any part of the vehicle

@@Apunkwithtoys Well for a guy that prides himself on design & calls himself an "artist" (even though his drawings are extremely amateur & could be bested by a 12 year old) theres really no "design" in it! Out of curiosity, I watched the whole thing. This is definitely not my thing, and leans just a little too real world to be interesting to me. Just feels flat and leans more in the direction of a retail toy rather than a Not really into that reaper figure either, but the articulation looks pretty good. The vehicle is just big but it's so plain. Especially on the inside. Very Tonka truck like.

How do you compare it to the Classified Hisstank?
I don’t think it compares well at all to the HISS, but the HISS is more. The HISS doesn’t look cheap, it has hard lines and nice detail on rivets and lines on the vehicle, the Vanguard has minimal lines and the detail it does have looks cheap. The interior on the Vanguard doesn’t have much and what it does have doesn’t pop. The HISS most things are too notch. @@Apunkwithtoys I just think it was overblown. They built it up so HUGE and it just isn't all that to me.
Came for the Review, Stayed for the Ramble
Oh there’s a lot here 😂
I would not pay more than $120 shipped for this thing.
Great review buddy 👍 I can’t wait to rip this thing apart and enhance it
Honestly, it’s decent first start but gives off a heavy “DIY blank” vibe without paint apps.
Lmao
So the rocket launcher pivots up and down but the guns don’t such an odd design choice. Glad I didn’t spend my money for that!
Yes, the whole gun going up and down is just something you can’t ignore, it’s a huge problem
I want my money back
@jakea75 I’ll take it off your hands for you
Open it up and see for yourself if you like it or not. Reviews are important but sometimes it's just seeing it in hand that really determines the final verdict.
Watching your vid now...
I like it I don't hate it but I can't afford it right now or justify the price of it I know he is a small company but mmmnm🤔🤔🤔
It's good but it looks cheap for the asking price! I do like it though 🎉🎉
Looks like a big hunk of unpainted plastic.
😂😂😂 that made me laugh, but I do understand what you’re saying.
@@Apunkwithtoys Even just picking out the rivets and hubcaps would go a long way in making look more finished. The guns not going up and down on the turret is baffling. Don't know how that got overlooked. Good honest review.
Gun can’t get it up? Guess it’s not time for action….
Gas cans on the inside is too much. What a joke.
Definitely alot of misses with this. Some 1 will offer after market though and hopefully fix some of them. Wish I could design.
A lot of missed in my opinion
Totally watching for Punk. I wouldn't give bobby 1 cent if it would save his life.

Did you ever set up the vanguard next to the hiss tank? Does it's size look wrong against that tank?
I did not but Bee’s Battleground did instagram.com/p/C-0EyJwOBmN/?igsh=a2EzZTk1eXFremhi
That gun is a C 6. It may look cheap, but that’s the actual look of it.
I can also attest to the helmet design being pretty well considered. Modern military vehicle crews need crew head sets that they can remove quickly, and they need to be able to put their eyes against the vehicles optic sights, so they tend to get smaller and lighter helmets, like a bike helmet.😅

The hood is disappointing in lack of function. But at least now gridiron can create some impressive front Armor and kit to cover it up, freely.
Hot gun barrels, casings and flash and cans of Gasoline are bad ju-ju , 100%. Not a good practice.
How much is this garbage? The amount of no detail anywhere is alarming. I bet they want 200 for it.
After taxes, it basically is $200! Not to mention the shipping.
@@thinktwice3211 free shipping

@@raymondjones5909 funny enough the Final Faction figures are being sold way more online thanks to consumers buying them up. Even the vehicles.
Easy pass for me on this it’s pretty dull imo especially for the price, and it’s all about the box art and that box is a major fail.
