LK28 👍, ruins or no ruins this place captures the imagination and forces the mind to delve deep in to fantasy and folklore. A beautiful Hall and fantastic captions you shared to illuminate and educate the mind. Great share, stay blessed and safe, your friend Traveller MIA 🇬🇧
Another amazing and interesting video of yours about The History of King Arthur's Round Table. The old building structures from the past is so amazing...
It was built almost 1000 years ago but the castle is still in very good condition. You showed us nearly every corner of the castle, along with the information associated with them. This is an research worth cherishing.
Some of those walls are so thick! What an amazing castle, and what history going back 10 millenia. The stained glass is gorgeous! And then, there's the myth of King Arthur's round table, which is so fascinating! It is a beautiful table, no matter what. I think that I would visit the Great Hall, table or not!
Its a wonderful table, i had forgotten how beautiful it was. Winchester is the town I was brought up in, although I don't remember much from that time. It has was fun going back to Winchester and doing the tourist thing.
Every time I hear King Arthur's name my mind just goes on a wild trip to history, and I want to see / hear more. Seeing buildings that were built almost 1000 years ago! This is insane, but also, amazing. One can only wonder who took these steps before you, what happened here, what it witnessed. I had a similar feeling in Japan, when I walked in the Himeji Castle, many things are still the original even if they renovated, so I was taking the same stairs as the shogun in the Sengoku period! This is just as wonderful.
I often think along these lines when I visit these places, like how many people or who had walked the hall ways. that type of thing. and I would just have been one of many thousands. thats what i loved about youtube, is we have the option of sharing these places, and watching videos of places we may never get the chance to visit. :-)
That table is pretty incredible Cara. I imagine it was a delicate operation taking it down. Imagine it falling apart. Nightmare. Thank fully it held together well. Thanks for sharing the table and hall. Have a great week. Mark
Good evening Cara and thanks for the video, never been here before and a really intresting place too see and learn about. Thank guys, It's a beautiful place to visit and i had forgotten how lovely the round table was. Winchester was my home town, so felt a bit odd going back and doing the tourist thing and then realised I had forgotten so much. if that makes any sense. Have a great week. Cara xx
