Seen many an axle snap, not uncommon. I snapped one last year in a race in an Intrepid kart. It happens regularly, see at least one a race meeting here, but 100 karts is a small sprint event for us. Racing an Enduro this weekend, think I'm back in an Intrepid (have driven 4 different karts this year and another one next month), will find out on Saturday for Practice.
If it's sliding to much while going in the turn or in the middle change the tore bar more so that car is stiffer and better to race for me it took off about 1.5 seconds off my time!
Maybe your boy wanted you to get close so you could remember his number really good so next time you try harder lol. How many people did you have in that class racing with you?

I have an OTK (Tony Kart with Lando Norris badging) Doug has an Intrepid.
