한국코퍼레이션 김용빈 회장(대한카누연맹회장)이 카누 용선(Dragon boat) 남북단일팀을 구성해 한강과 대동강 남북합동전지훈련 하겠다는 계획을 밝혔습니다. MBC뉴스에서 이를 취재해 방송했습니다.

노 젓는 선수 10명과 키잡이, 고수 등 12명이 한팀을 이루는 드래곤보트.
Dragon Boat consists of a team of 12 players, including 10 athletes, helmsman, and a drummer.
카누 연맹은 남북 6명씩 단일팀을 구성해 6월과 7월 한강과 대동강에서 합동훈련을 한다는 계획을 내놨습니다.
The Canoe Federation has come up with a plan to form a unified team of six people from each North and South Korea, and to conduct joint training exercises on the Han River and the Daedong River in June and July.
드래곤보트 전문 선수가 없어 단일팀을 구성해도 피해를 입는 선수가 없고, 엔트리 확대를 요구할 필요도 없어 부담없이 새로운 도전을 해보겠다는 입장입니다.
As there are no Dragon boat professional athletes and with no demand in entry expansion, no players will be affected in forming a single team.
[김용빈/대한카누연맹 회장] "아시아카누연맹으로부터 승인을 받아서 (단일팀을) 추진해왔습니다. (남북) 합동위원회에서 총감독과 감독, 선수를 선출하는 절차를 거칠 예정입니다."
[Yongbin Kim/Chairman of Korea Canoe Federation] “We have been pushing for a unified team with the approval of Asian Canoe Federation. The joint committee (North and South) will undergo the process of selecting a general manager, a supervisor and players.”
3차례 남북통일 농구대회를 경험한 농구도 적극적입니다.
Basketball team that has experienced three South-North Unification Basketball tournament is also highly interested in unified team.
2연패에 도전하는 남자팀이 병역 면제 쟁점이 걸려 있긴 하지만, 기본적으로 남녀 모두 단일팀을 추진한다는 계획입니다.
While the key issue for male team, going for the second match, is exemption from military service, most male and female athletes are supporting a single team.
[방열/대한농구협회 회장] "2년 전에 (북한 여자) 선수들은 직접 목격했는데, 2~3명 정도는 우리 팀에 도움이 될 선수들이 있었어요."
[Bangyeol/President of Basketball Association] “Two years ago, I saw North Korean female athletes, and there were about two or three players that could help us."
'단일팀 원조 종목'인 탁구와 체조, 유도 등 총 7개 종목이 단일팀 의사를 밝힌 가운데, 5월 중으로 구체적인 종목별 남북 합의안이 확정될 것으로 보입니다.
As a total of seven categories - table tennis, gymnastics, judo, etc. - announced their intention to form a single team, a detailed inter-Korean agreement is expected in May.
