I thought you'd like a look at this very cool 1951 Ford Victoria 2 dr Hardtop Hot Rod. It's powered by a nicely detailed and rebuilt flathead V8, backed by an automatic trans. The exterior is looking really slick in two-tone and features a lot of custom pinstriping. This would make one great weekend cruiser. I hope you find it interesting....thanks for watching!

A buddy of mine returned from Korea and bought one just like that , except his was manual shift with overdrive.
His also had the Continental kit .
That was one of the sharpest looking cars I've ever seen.
That car belongs in a museum with automatic trans .
I actually sold it to a guy in Oregon, he sent me back a few pictures a year later of it fully restored. It was really cool.
It really is a beauty. Thanks for watching!
I like that the mods are correct for that era. Thanks for checking it out!
That's cool that it went to someone that fully restored it.
My dad didn't care for the automatic transmission. Loved the three on the tree with overdrive.
They really are cool. That's great that you used to have one. Thanks for checking this one out.
Thanks for watching!
That's cool that you have one too. Thanks for checking this one out!
It is a pretty sweet ol' hot rod. Thanks for checking it out Gabe.
Those really are some cushy seats. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for taking a look George!
I really do like that two-tone. Thanks for having a look at it!
Thanks for taking a look my friend!
Thanks for checking it out my friend!
Esos sí que eran automobiles de verdad, ahora son carretillas de Castro ruedss. Que bellesas de autos compadre.🤠
Masterpiece
that interior looks more comfy than my living room! jeez.
I agree...they've really narrowed the choices in recent years. Thanks for watching!
Love the old Ford"s
My Aunt had one an ugly green and black. I was 6 years old and loved the engine sounds even then! Nothing like and old V8!
I was happy to see the flatty in there too. Thanks for watching!
It's holding up better than a lot of us :)
Ol' School, lookin' sharp in 2 tone, so cool !
A beautiful restoration. Im in love. Thnx so much..........John.
Nice car. My dad had one when I was very young and had the fordomatic drive also. First year for an automatic in a Ford. If I remember correctly the shift indicator lit up a different color for each gear selection. This was a Borge Warner transmission, air cooled and had 3 forward speeds although it started in second unless you floored the gas from a standstil then it would start in 1 then go to 2 then 3. Much smoother than a hydramatic and quicker than a powerglide of the same year.
I remember as a boy when my dad traded cars alot of the time the salesman would even visit our farm to make the deal.
no shortage - o - chrome on this baby ...... boy is that the truth!! nice!!

Wow! What a decked out car! Ford like Mercury for 1951 seems to have expanded its use of bright metalwork for the front grill area. It's kind of surprising that Ford debuted a hardtop before Mercury did. However I think that Mercury also began to offer a true hardtop with its new body style for 1952. It's kind of unusual to see an automatic transmission in this Ford since this was the first year Ford and Mercury offered one (Lincoln used Hydra-Matics prior to 1951). All in all an impressive look at Ford's top of the line offering for 1951.
Beautiful
Very clean Vicky hardtop I got a 51 also she's rusty
beautiful car -- immaculate!!
We had a '52 Vic which was no where near as fancy, but I doubt the original ones weren't either.
I owned one in 1957 great date car loved it

Nice car. But I don't listen the pinstriping. I suppose the restorer wanted to give it more "class", but I find it classy enough.
They really do look similar. Even the dashboard and steering wheel look identical. I like the visor on your Dad's car...very cool.
Someone added the Crestliner side stainless
Ok the hood was unlatched, made it look strange.
N
Nope, it's an automatic and that ruin the whole thing.
Damn That Car is Classy looking
I owned a 51 ford and it was green and black, not a nice green but that didn't matter back then.
I like them old Cars 51 ford was a Classy looking car
Looks amazing, this hardtop bodystyle is my favorite from this era of Ford. I prefer original or restored cars to modified ones, but the mods are tasteful, this one really looks great. Thanks for filming it!
Twin spinner front in 🇦🇺
That Victoria is 61 years old and looking lot better than me :-)
That's good to hear, thank you for watching!
Thanks for pointing that out....that's my fault, it is an automatic. I'll change the description. I was working on a few vids in a row and confused the details a bit.
It is a great ol' hot rod. It really would be a fun cruiser. I like that it's still packing a flathead under the hood. Thanks for checking it out my friend.
Very nice car (though personally I'm not a fan of the side pipes, the Continental rear end, and the pin striping. The car was an attractive design for the time without these options). I'm old enough that I remember occasionally seeing Tudors and Customlines but don't remember the Victoria.
Those thin side pipes running down the sides. The were really popular on customs back in the 50's.
Is this an automatic? I only saw one pedal on the floor. Ok,I saw the indicator. It's an automatic. What's the lever on the left for?
The spotlights were a common mod on hot rods or customs back in the day.
I watched as much as could stand.....did he ever start it? Why didnt he start it? Thats like THE most important thing!
Very Sharp!! Looks like alotta fun for 16K!! I especially like the pinstriping!!☺
It's simply a 2 door hardtop
There's no trick to it it just means there's no pillar like you said
Really amazing to seeing this ford hard top👍👍👍👍
It didn't need the pinstripes. It looks good just as it is.
Glad you like it. Thanks for taking a look!
Sharp looking car Jeff I like the red interior, too bad today's cars don't have more interior color choices
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for taking a look
Thanks for watching!
Thats what i'm talkin about! I owned a '51 Vicky for a couple years, it never was more then a project car, but was complete except for engine/trans. I love them.
Hello, My name is Teresa Scott and I am in search of my fathers first car, a 1951 Ford Custom Deluxe 2 door coupe with a flathead V8 and 3 speed straight shift on the column. The original color was baby blue. He then completely customized it in 1957. My father is turning 80 in December and I would like to at least have a picture of this car to give him at his party Dec. 07. He sold it around 1959-1962 in Lima, Ohio. Can you help with this?
The following are the customization's he did to the car in hopes this information will help find the car if its still around. I am afraid I do not have the VIN number.
Painted it black and white/ installed seat covers(black & white)/painted all the interior metal trim black and side panels black and white/ added fender skirts on rear and painted all wheels black/added Olds Starfire wheel covers/ removed several emblems on side and trunk, hood ornament/ replaced muffler with a glass pack type/lowered the rear of the car 4 inches at the axel/ cut the bottom of the steering wheel off/ added exhaust cutout/moved the shift lever to the opposite side/modified the dash to add a hidden compartment/ wired hidden switch on tail lights, brake lights and license plate light. Yes, he was a bit of a rebel. Ended up retiring as Fiber Optic Engineer. Turns out he had a genius IQ. lol
Any suggestions to help me find this car would be greatly appreciated!!
Sincerely,
Teresa Scott

wowww very nice! beautiful beautiful details....wonderfull classic car! i´dore
You should show several "full" pictures of the entire car (the '51 ford 2 door hardtop) from several different angles! Its a really nice looking car.
We had an auto wrecking when I was a kid. We had 7 of them in the yard. Black with red. White with black. They were a nice looking car.
Some things not lined up with the front bottom of the hood. Doesn't line up with the front bumper.
Always liked the 51 , I had a 50 Merc in high school the flat head ran good with a three on the tree .
how to screw up a nice car with paint stripes and side pipes
Its great that they left the flathead in it.
Nice!!!!
Hope they got rid of pin stripes
What are lake pipes?
Beautiful
