  • What should you take to your Chemo Session? I will be having my 2nd Chemo session tomorrow and wanted to share with you what I take to treatment.
I was diagnosed with High Grade Serous Carcinoma of the uterus, a very aggressive cancer with a high rate of recurrence . After a total hysterectomy and oophorectomy, I am undergoing adjuvant therapy which will consist of Chemo and radiation. Thank you to everyone for all the warm wishes. Thanks for following my Cancer Journey.

Karen, I cannot thank you enough for posting these videos of your treatments. My mom has serous carcinoma also and I came to RUclips to find out how to prepare to help her as she went through chemo. Watching your videos helped give me an idea of what to expect without totally freaking me out. Your sweet spirit, optimism and positive outlook absolutely shines. May you be blessed with a return to health and with a clear sense of love surrounding you. Thank you again!

Jessie thank you so much! I know when I was first diagnosed I did not know what to expect and I turned to RUclips to find others going through the same thing. Since I am an artist and already routinely make videos of my paintings it seemed natural for me to do these on my cancer journey. I hope that your Mom does well and as I have said it is all about attitude and also knowing what to expect! I really appreciate your comments! It makes the effort of making the videos worthwhile! Thank you and good luck!

Thanks for this video. I have been diagnosed with esophageal cancer but hopefully they caught it relatively early. One round of chemo and radiotherapy, followed by surgery (which will be the hardest part), I am anticipating. Cheers.

Karen Rankin oh Karen! This is such wonderful news! My aunt has just been diagnosed with uterine serous carcinoma. She is a week post op from her hysterectomy but unfortunately they had to leave cancer in her pelvic and aortic lymph nodes. She must have chemo and radiation. Your story is an inspiration. @@nikkipizzino Please know that your aunt Can get through this!!! I am grateful that my story has provided an inspiration! The more knowledge you can get the better. One has to be an advocate for themselves and learn as much as possible about the treatments in order to make an informed decision. It is so rewarding to know that they have inspired you! too, had a hard time with the carbo-Taxol regime but luckily the shooting painful legs side effects were short lived. One year after diagnosis I continue to do well and even have some hair back. Thanks so much for your kind words regarding my art.
