  • You asked, we answered! "Why should the parents of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) go to hell when they didn't even witness the prophethood?" Dr. Shabir Ally acknowledges there has been debate about this question among scholars and points out that the Quran 5:48 says that God will judge people according to what has come to them.

I do request everyone, I beg all of you, please, for the sake of Allah SWT, please start attending Fajer prayers daily in Mosque. Please do your best to do this, you may find it hard and difficult in the beginning, but put your all efforts to continue. InshaAllah, Allah SWT will make it easy for you. Also please try to encourage one or two others to attend Fajer prayer in Mosque with you.

It is better for you to stay in bed, get a full night's sleep and rest your body. It is good for your health. That is sunnatullah or the sunnah of Allah swt. That is how Allah has designed our human body. Getting up at 5 am to drive or walk to the mosque is just illogical. Satanic. Salat does NOT mean prayer. There are NO FIVE prayers in the Quran or in the hadith. Please note that. Please do not create fitnah against Allah, the Rasul and against Islam. It is also shirk. May Allah SALAT upon you (Allahuma SOLLI alaykum).

Why you are only requesting to pray fajar salah in the mosque? Only salah can’t admit you to Jannah. Whole-over the Quran Allah says the criteria to go to Jannah are believing and doing good deeds. Salah is only one commandment of Allah among the other commandments. Nowhere in the Quran Allah promised that salah can bring you to paradise. But Allah says,”Verily, Salah keeps one away from immorality and unjust deeds”(Quran 29:45). Unfortunately, most Muslims don’t fall in this category. What do you say about them?

Attention: This is wrong explanation! In Sahih Muslim Hadith 203 the word used is Ab which means father or uncle. Arabs used to call their uncle Ab even in the time of prophet Ibrahim. Furthermore, for biological father they used the word walad not Ab, which confirms that prophet (PBUH) referenced his uncle in this hadith, not his biological father. See hadith in Arabic below:
Additionally, our beloved prophet (PBUH) mentioned that he is pure and his lineage is pure, which also confirms that his parents were pious and on the right path therefore not in hell.
May Allah guide us to the right path and help us obtain correct information

You are having a hard time accepting a simple fact. If a person is a prophet that doesn't mean his ancestors will not go to hell. Biological relationships don't help anyone. Consider Noah's son, Lot's wife, Abraham's father, Adam's son.. etc.

In 1976 they destroyed this place for Nabavi Mosque Development! During this period with advice from Hadhrat molana Ashiq Elahi sb who suggested that only those who are responsible for Khidmah of Roza Mubarak (these were from Bilal RA people) start the digging with first strike. The body was completely intact. Abdullah RA had long hair down to his shoulders which were intact. The body was transferred to Al-Baqih graveyard, other well known scholars from India were present and had the honour of assisting carrying the body.

    Praise be to Allah.
There is a hadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) which indicates that they are in Hell.
Muslim (203) narrated from Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that a man said: “O Messenger of Allaah, where is my father?” He said: “In Hell.” When he turned away he called him back and said: “My father and your father are in Hell.”
Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
This shows that whoever dies in a state of kufr will be in Hell. And being related to one who is close to Allaah will not avail him anything. It also shows that whoever died during the fatrah (the interval between the Prophethood of ‘Eesa (peace be upon him) and that of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)) and was the follower of the way of the Arabs at that time, which was idol worship, will also be among the people of Hell. There is no excuse for the call not reaching them, because the call of Ibraaheem and other Prophets (peace be upon them) had reached these people.
Muslim (976) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I asked my Lord for permission to pray for forgiveness for my mother, but He did not give me permission. And I asked Him for permission to visit her grave, and He gave me permission.”
    It says in ‘Awn al-Ma’bood:
“But He did not give me permission” means: because she was a kaafirah (disbeliever) and it is not permissible to pray for forgiveness for the kuffaar.
Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
This shows that it is not permitted to pray for forgiveness for the kuffaar.
Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “My father and your father are in Hell,” he spoke with knowledge, for he did not speak on the basis of his whims and desires, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“By the star when it goes down (or vanishes).
    2. Your companion (Muhammad) has neither gone astray nor has erred.
    3. Nor does he speak of (his own) desire.
    4. It is only a Revelation revealed”
    [al-Najm 53:1-4]
Were it not that proof has been established against ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib, the father of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) would not have said what he did about him. Perhaps he had heard something that established proof against him on the basis of the religion of Ibraaheem, because they used to follow the religion of Ibraaheem until the innovations were introduced by ‘Amr ibn Luhayy al-Khuzaa’i and his innovations became widespread among the people, such as the propagation of idols and praying to them instead of to Allaah. Perhaps ‘Abd-Allaah had heard something that showed him that the idol worship of Quraysh was wrong, but he still followed them, and thus proof was established against him. Similarly, the hadeeth which says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked for permission to pray for forgiveness for his mother but it was not granted, and he asked for permission to visit her grave and he was permitted to do so but not to pray for forgiveness for her, perhaps she had heard something that established proof against her, or perhaps the people of the Jaahiliyyah are to be treated as kuffaar as far as rulings in this world are concerned, so we should not pray for them or pray for forgiveness for them, because outwardly they seem to be kuffaar, and should be regarded and dealt with as such, and their case in the Hereafter is for Allaah to judge.
    Fataawa Noor ‘ala al-Darb
Al-Suyooti (may Allaah have mercy on him) was of the view that the parents of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) will be saved (from Hell), and that Allaah brought them back to life after they had died and they believed in him.
This view was rejected by the majority of scholars who ruled that the ahaadeeth which indicate that are fabricated (mawdoo’) or very weak (da’eef jiddan).
    It says in ‘Awn al-Ma’bood:
Most of the reports that been narrated to the effect that the parents of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) were brought back to life and believed in him and were saved are fabricated and false. Some of them are very weak and cannot be saheeh under any circumstances, as the imams of hadeeth are unanimously agreed that they are fabricated, such as al-Daaraqutni, al-Jawzaqaani, Ibn Shaheen, al-Khateeb, Ibn ‘Asaakir, Ibn Naasir, Ibn al-Jawzi, al-Suhayli, al-Qurtubi, al-Muhibb, al-Tabari, Fath al-Deen ibn Sayyid al-Naas, Ibraaheem al-Halabi and others. The scholar Ibraaheem al-Halabi explained at length the fact that the parents of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) have not been saved from Hell in a separate essay, as did ‘Ali al-Qaari in Sharh al-Fiqh al-Akbar and in a separate essay. The basis for this opinion is the soundness of this hadeeth (“My father and your father are in Hell”). Shaykh Jalaal al-Deen al-Suyooti differed from the huffaaz and scholars and affirmed that they had believed and had been saved, and he wrote numerous essays on that topic, including al-Ta’zeem wa’l-Minnah fi anna Abaway Rasool-Illaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) fi’l-Jannah.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked: Is there any saheeh report from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) that Allaah brought his parents back to life so that they could become Muslims, then they died (again) after that?
He replied: There is no saheeh report to that effect from the scholars of hadeeth. Rather the scholars are agreed that this is an invented lie… There is no dispute among the scholars that this is one of the most obvious of fabrications, as was stated by those who have knowledge. That does not appear in any of the reliable books of hadeeth, either in the Saheehs or the Sunans or the Musnads or any other well-known books of hadeeth. It was not mentioned by the authors of the books of Maghaazi or Tafseer, even though they narrated da’eef (weak) reports along with saheeh (sound) ones. The fact that this is a lie is clear to any one who has any knowledge of religion. If such a thing had happened there would have been a great deal of motivation to transmit it, because it is something that is extraordinary on two counts: the raising of the dead and believing after death. Such a thing would have been more deserving of being transmitted than anything else. Since no trustworthy narrated transmitted it, it may be understood that this is a lie.
Moreover, this goes against the Qur’aan and the saheeh Sunnah, and the consensus of the scholars. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Allaah accepts only the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and foolishness and repent soon afterwards; it is they whom Allaah will forgive and Allaah is Ever All‑Knower, All‑Wise.
    18. And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says: ‘Now I repent;’ nor of those who die while they are disbelievers”
    [al-Nisa’ 4:17-18]
So Allaah states that there is no repentance for one who dies as a disbeliever. And Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Then their Faith (in Islamic Monotheism) could not avail them when they saw Our punishment. (Like) this has been the way of Allaah in dealing with His slaves. And there the disbelievers lost utterly (when Our Torment covered them)”
    [Ghaafir 40:85]
So He tells us that the way in which He deals with His slaves is that faith will be to no avail once they have seen the punishment, so how about after death? And there are other similar texts. Then he quoted the two hadeeth which we quoted at the beginning of our answer.
    Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 4/325-327.

I'm just an average sinning mortal, and to be honest I don't think there's anyone I personally know I'd want to go to Hell, even the bad 'uns. And Allah must be more merciful than me by the an untold number of times, so Hell must be pretty much empty.

That is a really big thing to say attributing to a Sahi hadith, especially without giving any reason or strong evidence that why one would think it's an addition.
That way, any arbitrary person can label the other authentic Hadiths as being partly correct and which ever part he doesn't like as being modified.

-Ibn-saad said from Zahri & Ibn-Abas:after hegira to Medina whenever prophet looked at that place, will said:
‎«نظر إلي الدار فقال: ههنا نزلت بي أمّي و في هذه الدار قبر أبي عبد الله.»
“my mother and me stayed in that place, and there is my father 's grave"(also in that reference: fasl men tarikh almedina from vaghedi)
    -Batnuni said:
‎«مقام سيّدنا عبدالله والد الرسول... في بيت رجل منهم (بنونجّار) يقال له النّابغة
    "Grave of Abdullah,prophet 's father,is in Nabeghe 's house,who was from bani-alnajar tribe"
    -kateb Vaghedi said:
‎«ودُفِنَ فی دار النابغة وهُوَ رَجلٌ من بنی عدی بن نجّار...»
"He’s buried in dar-alnabeghe which was house of nabeghe, who was from bani-alnajar tribe"(tabaghat,volume1)
    -ibn-shebh said:
‎«قبر عبدالله بن عبدالمطلب فی دارالنابغة»
    "Abdullah’s grave exists in dar-alnabeghe"(ibn-shebh 's tarikh-almedina,volume1)
    -tabari said:
‎«وَدُفن فی دار النابغة فی الدار الصغری إذا دخلت الدار عن یَسارِکَ لَیس بین أصحابنا فی ذلک اختلاف»
"And he buried in dar-alnabeghe,in left side which there is no disagreement between our companions about that"(tarikh tabari,volume2)

Salam everyone. I love and respect Dr. Shabir and have high regard for his thoughts on Islam in contemporary times, BUT I beg to differ in this matter.
It is my humble opinion that this hadith should be rejected outright (or any that speaks of the prophet confirming who goes to heaven or hell). The Quran is clear that all judgment belongs to Allah SWT as He is the Master of the Day of Judgment... meaning only Allah SWT knows who is entering Jannah and who is condemned to Hell. Bear in mind, the prophet (all prophets) are merely human beings entrusted with Allah SWT's Message to deliver to their respective ummah (community) during their lifetime.
    Quran 46:9
"Say, “I am not the first messenger ever sent, NOR DO I KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ME OR YOU. I only follow what is revealed to me. And I am only sent with a clear warning.”

@@kinanlaham744 ...Salam. As for the prophet's prophecies in the hadith, it would be wiser to not pay too much emphasis on them or we will end up with many doomsday predictions and conjectures in Islam.
As all Muslims know the Quran speaks of the past, present and future events...ONLY GOD HAS THE AUTHORITY TO SPEAK ON MATTERS OF THE UNSEEN INCLUDING FUTURE EVENTS. Anyway, let's not forget the role of prophet Muhammad as a MESSENGER OF GOD does not include God's permission to him to foretell the future. There are no Quran verses to support the prophet had the ability to prophesize future events or having the knowledge of who ends up in heaven or hell.
There is nothing wrong to reject any hadith that contradicts the Quran... or exaggerates the role of the prophet not supported in the Quran. Mind you, there are lots and lots of them.
Honestly, I would rather trust the Quran since it contains all the relevant and pertinent information on the prophet that we need to know. Just look it up...

But when you look at the bigger picture throughout history, not every one received the message, example those who lived and died shortly before Muhammad (SAW) was born or became a prophet, between two prophets (e.g Jesus and Muhammad) especially in lands that do not have a prophetic background like Far East (china, japan), Australia, African villages, Red indians (native Americans) etc.
So what is the fate of such a person who was not exposed to the message of oneness of God, and probably followed his brainwashed parents & society footsteps of worshipping idols genuinely thinking they were real god. In the Bible, we see people in Noah's day later rescued out of hell when Jesus came. This is consistent with the near death experience where people cried out and were saved from hell. I Peter:3:18-20 "18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
    19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water."

    Mohammed Mustafa was born in
    570 A.D. - died 632 A.D.
Caliph Omar became Caliph in 634 A.D. upon the death of Caliph Abu Bakr, only two years after Mohammed's death and sixteen years before the Koran was completed. He captured Jerusalem and had the mosque built - the Mosque of Omar or Dome of the Rock.
Mohammed's dad Abd Allah died before he was born; his mother Aminah died when he was six; his grand-dad Abd Al-Muttalib when he was eight. He was then looked after by his uncle.
Mohammed married Khadija, who was a Roman Catholic (nun?), when he was 25 and she was 40. Her cousin was called Waraquah and was also a Roman Catholic Meccan.

Yet when it comes to applying that condemnation to our own books (which only our forefathers gave us) We accept them and emotionally defend them based on what we literally call "Traditions". And now most have no nur, believe in superstition, Don't understand the Quran (in almost ALL non-arabic speaking muslim countries) and are practicing man-made beliefs built on man-worship and calling it religion. "Guidance comes from ALLAH ALONE." The darkness will have you seek elsewhere. Same happened to the Jews and Christians. And they actually Understood the language of their scripture. They didn't just say the words w/o meaning the way millions of us do.

Jesus was the first person to speak authoritatively about heaven and hell, speaking as one who came from above and was not of this world. John 8:23
The kingdom of heaven is of such great value that it is worth forsaking all else, even if it means embracing suffering, persecution, and death for following Jesus. On the other hand, hell is the punishment for those who reject Jesus and God's gracious offer of salvation. Matthew 22:1-14
