Can Solidworks also calculate the material "shrinkage-allowance" of the disc outside diameter? (a sort of flatpattern for deepdrawing...) I suppose one could just calculate a ball park disc blank outside diameter by using the volume of the final product and figure out what size flat disc will match to that in volume.

Yes but You need to install additional software such as logopress into Solidworks
