this episode was enough to make me read ahead in the manga.. then the LN once i realised the manga was being based off of it
in the same way that demon slayer ep 19 did that for its manga
and all i can say about it is that while demon slayer for a long time held my top spot, reading this has put the Slime anime at my number one spot xD

If you guys see Milim’s backstory closely, you can see a scene with ramiris(the fairy when rimuru go to the labyrinth with the children that proclaim to be a demon lord and the queen of spirit) and another guy. The 3 of them are considered the 1st generation of demon lords

I'm a WN and manga reader and even though I knew what happened, gobuta's crying made me tear up at the whole scene again.
I'm also a WN and manga reader, but I actually feel quite weird for the emotion of Rimuru that presented in animation. I get that feeling since last episode, His people are all dead and laying on the ground, he did felt sad/ angry at the moment but I didn't felt the strong emotion that he should have. Not only that he even laugh in front of them, I know he felt happy when knowing there's a way to revive them, but is there the place for him to laugh.
@@guffawyap245 yeah i get what you're saying he was way more sad and angry and let's say distant in both the Manga and WN, he didn't start to cheer up a bit until he killed everyone, i can think of only two reasons for that either the studio didn't want to make it too dark for the viewers that might have some younger audience , or they just couldn't convey the emotions he has well enough, but I'm going with the 1st one because the 2nd is simply not possible, which honestly defeats the purpose of this arc, cuz the this is the arc that shows us how ruthless and savage rimuru can get.
This just my opinion but feel free to tell me what you think.
They cut it but originally rimuru sits there for 3 days blaming himself and trying to find a way to bring them back until he was told the story

I just found you guys and kinda watching your reviews a bit in reverse and even knowing what comes after, seeing Shion dead, hearing Gobta's cry of pain and then Rimiru's anger, it still hits hard.
Rimuru: Peace was never an option
The thing about Youm easily accepting the offer of usurping Falmuth's throne as king isn't just because he's happy about Myuran. People might have forgotten since it was back in Season 1, but Youm and his team of adventurers were actually a mix-match of criminals (both justly and unjustly incriminated) that Falmuth sent to "investigate" Jura Forest as a de facto means of executing them (when Veldora's presence disappeared). Their bunch knows the corruption of the nobility behind Falmuth first-hand so they had no regrets in joining Rimuru's side when they saw how much better Tempest was as a country to its citizens.
Did anyone else notice Ramiris in this episode?
P.S. in the source material, Rimuru was grieving at the bodies, alone, for 3 whole days before the Eren and her guards came.

I don't mean that Rimuru isn't either when it counts. Earlier on, that Rimuru casually states that if his subordinates were to betray him, he'll just kill them. Even during the fight with Ifrit, he thought that the entire situation was an elaborate trap to kill Rimuru (setup by the trio and Shizue) and he says that if it does come to it, he'll just kill them (The trio).

Just a note from the light novel, Rimuru spent three days asking the great sage those questions in front of Shion's body.
Edit- just a little detail that I don't often hear mentioned about the crack in Rimuru's mask. It's supposed to look like a tear, crying in Rimuru's place as he can no longer do it himself.
The title made me think in my mind Vin Diesel saying "I'd do anything for family" and laughed my ass off

It wasn't in the anime, but Rimuru saved Mjurran to secure Youm's cooperation to become the king of Farmus.
The show doesn't really clarify, but Rimuru used her as a test to see if full resurrection is possible. Her punishment was essentially being a guinea pig.
As a reader of the novel believe me, Tempest's revenge will be epic as hell.

The reason why Mjurran was not punished is because all her actions ultimately helped Rimuru have a chance to revive the people of Tempest. It was more in detail in the Novel and Manga, but the gist of it is that if Mjurran did not erect the 2nd barrier, Everyone would have 0 chance of revival and it's not just because of the souls being kept in by the barrier, there are other factors as well. Other than that, there are 2 political reasons why he kept her alive. Rimuru is not being Naive as others might think, this is him being a tactician.
With how it's presented in the anime though, it's as if it's just because he's a nice guy.

Not exactly, though, with the help Great Sage, his foresight is astounding but that thought is a REAL stretch.
That thought only came after he acknowledged the army is coming with King Edmalis himself and after erecting the 3 barrier. Without this data, Great Sage can't see that far.
Why is the 3 barrier a important piece? It's not stated in the anime but in the manga and LN, Great Sage reports that there is a unknown electric signal interfering with the barrier. It's only then Rimuru understood that Myurran could be spared and receive cooperation from Youm.

Having read the manga, I was so looking to this anime-fication of this scene. But one thing the manga did better was when Rimuru asked about Shion. In the Manga, Rimuru just said "Where is she?" without any specifics, and Benimaru would guide him there without saying anything. Minimum exchanges, yet incredibly powerful!
They're adapting novel not the manga.

Ok so i think everybody noticed how Milim is the girl in the story but what about Veldora tempest being the dragon she sealed away.
Theory: even though we met Veldora and he seemed fine maybe the process of resurrecting made him violent and the years of being sealed away mellowed him out and that how he befriended Rimuru. just a theory.
The thumbnail looks like rimuru is carrying shuna with a dark face and I’m like, when did that happen?
they didn't show rimuru actually on the verge of killing myulan when he saw the corpses and shion since myulan was the reason all of them got weak
yeah the whole episode makes me feel that Rimuru didn't care much of his people, he even laugh in front of them, while the people is dead and laying on the ground in front of him.
@@guffawyap245 True that was one detail which shows Rimuru actually blaming himself because of his decision to make a rule for his nation to not hurt humans and the emotion he had shown in the manga was missing in the anime but it's no big deal. And in the manga if my memory serves me right when he found out of a story about resurrection from ellen/elen he actually looked at ellen/elen like he was desperate he wasn't smiling (if my memory is right).
