Tower of god season 1 anime not good or bad but mid adaptation like classroom of the elite s1 to s3 type . They adapt max 90% to 93% webtoon source material , cut some minor scene / dialogue and 79 chapters convert into 13 episodes . Even my anime list give this anime 7.56 out 10 rating .

The current arc is really good from what I've heard but I'm one arc behind Spoiler about Rachel: So we haven't seen Rachel in a while but she does something later on that makes the fandom hate her even more because she causes the death of some beloved characters. We haven't seen her in a long while tbh (where I am in the manhwa anyways). I don't see her getting any redemption. Especially because we have a lot of the people on Baam's side wanting her dead. Once we find out why she hates Baam, it makes it a bit more clear that she will keep trying to mess with him forever so tbh she has to go

So.....let's skip the minor things and talk about the thing that is REALLY dividing the fandom from what i've seen: Bonika😂 yes, that's the name i'll be using. I saw it in some thumbnail and i liked it. So, first of all, i COMPLETELY forgotten that it was foreshadowed before. But anyways. What i'm gonna say it now might provoke some people, but this is my vision, and sorry, i'm pretty freaking sure of it LOL: we know a few years from now, entertainment in general has been FLOODED with political messages. 98% of the time, from people from left/democrats. And unfortunately, this has been slowly reaching Japan / East part. We already know Oda has a side. Yes, he critics both sides, but there's no doubt he critics the "right/more conservative" side much more. Just look at Yamato's whole "gender" thing and the Okamas. That said, you're probably asking why i'm saying all this. I'm getting there😂 The reason i'm saying all that is bc, one of the many political stuff that has been influencing entertainment in general is the feminism with the whole "empowered female characters". The reason this has become annoying is bc: *usually they don't need the same training to reach or even surpass the MC's level *now and then they come with some shitty lines like "i don't need a man" and all that stuff (to make they look "independent") *the whole "mistress in distress" became a synonim of weakness, which was pretty much ok decades ago. There's nothing wrong with the male figure being more strong than the female one. Men and women are different, and THAT DOES NOT MEAN women are weak or that they are useless and shouldn't fight, just means there is nothign wrong if the female character is not as strong as the male one. That said, the Bonney stuffu came out of nowhere to me (again, i had forgotten it was foreshadowed), but MAAAAN THAT WAS SO COOL THO😂😂 Ok, gonna say it now: the ONLY REASON i'm not mad at this development is bc i've always liked Bonney. Like, always. And i'm not sure if she is as strong as Luffy now, but if she is, i know people will get more mad, and tbh? I won't blame them LOL Again, it's like she reached his level without the least effort...but we'll see what Oda will do. Also ken, do this if you want, but later search for the term "Mary Sue". You'll understand what i'm talking about regarding "power female characters". There are powered femalw characters that you can see it actually makes sense for them to be strong (they passed through a journey), and there are some that are just....forced, and you have to accept it.

The fact that she's the daughter of a man that was born into slavery, never gave up hope on Nika being the saviour of people (despite never being saved by him), and his daughter is now being helped by that same being and became her "freest" while leaving the island that she and Kuma were first shackled by Saturn (Saturn told his demands for Bonney's cure on Egghead island). I think it's amazing story telling. I'm sure she's nowhere near Luffy's level but it's ironic that everything the WG is doing is backfiring on them. First, Vegapunk and the usage of the mother flame, and now Bonney and her fruit. I totally get your point where you said the "I don't need a man" bit (I usually stay away from these conversations for obvious reasons) but I think the Bonney development was super cool and I don't see Oda letting her be as strong as Luffy. The symbolism behind it was so neat. Earlier in the arc, Bonney was losing faith in Nika being real and started to become weak. Now, she saw Luffy becoming Nika and her fists was restored and he freed her. It's pretty cool in my opinion! One thing about Yamato is that Oda already revealed her to be a girl. In her vivre card she's listed as a female but she just has imposter syndrome lmao some people are weird and use that to argue about her gender
