Caleb reads defenses well, goes through his progressions quickly, knows how to work the pocket, has a quick release, crazy accuracy and can improvise if necessary. Anyone saying he’s not good is just jealous he isn’t going to their team. Let’s Go Bears.

@@Syst3m04 I mean yeah but thats just media hubbub, shouldn't affect peoples opinions on the player and that players tape. Rosen was honestly an anomaly in my eyes because I scouted him and I saw absolutely nothing special save for a few throws. And I think Trevor has been underwhelming but he's still someone most teams would take at 1 in a redraft.

@@philsplip7357 I have no problem with Trevor, and Fields still has potential, but Lance, Wilson and Jones have all flopped pretty hard. Statistically only 1-2 of the QB’s in this draft will succeed as well, but 5-6 will go in the 1st

Hardly anyone saw Mahomes as a generational QB so now everyone throws that term around trying to look like a genius. Where does Caleb rank as far as “generational quarterbacks?” Hopefully more effective than the last one in Trevor Lawrence. 😂

People stuck with generational after tlaws 1st year. For a true freshman he was amazing. 3 years later he was the same player at that point he was just a very good college QB not a generational prospect he will never be a top QB, decent sure

@@reelrecs9426 it was a COMPLETELY different league back then. You could probably take any of the top 10-12 qbs from 2022 and say their stats could've won mvp in 1999 lol. You could also probably take any of the top 10-12 qbs in 1999 and say their stats could've won mvp in 1976 and so on and so forth.
To say Peyton Manning, who was All-Pro, Pro Bowl and 2nd in mvp voting his 2nd season and then All-Pro, Pro Bowl and 5th in mvp voting while leading the league in yards and tds his 3rd season "was a worse player than Lawrence at the same point in their career" is absolutely ridiculous. Manning was already arguably the best qb in the nfl by his 3rd season. Lawrence isn't even the best qb in his division in his 3rd season and he's probably the 12th-15th best qb in the league behind Mahomes, Allen, Rodgers, Tua, Herbert, Burrow, Lamar, Stroud, Love, Dak, Hurts, Goff, Purdy, Stafford and possibly even Kyler Murray.

A team with an actual coaching staff very well may be able to. Look at tbe 2 examples you used and how they both were cursed enough to play for my Bears. This is coming from a lifelong Bears fan for better or worse. Fields deserves so much more and could/should be miles ahead of what he is but was scapegoated and on a team more focused on tanking than winning and it was obvious.
Trubinsky was just an idiotic move... he needed a lot more love than Fields but got more opportunity to grow.

Calling a persons whole career “generational” before even playing a single game is foolish. Like; who saw Andrew Luck and said “he’s gonna get hurt every year and retire earlier than expected. Same goes with guys who are supposedly BETTER THAN Andrew Luck. You never know. People who predict a persons whole career are foolish and just spit-balling.
