Hi Chris, thank you for the great review! I went ahead and purchased Noire after watching this, and I love it. I sat on the fence for a while, because I already own Garritan CFX, but Noire’s sound is really what I was looking for. More mellow. Thank you 🙏
Hey I was just wondering if you can check you the AIR stage piano. I’ve been stressing over if I should get the Noire , The emotional piano, or the AIR stage piano.
Nice vid. I have extremely poor vision. Could you please describe the feature where you can play a melody over the output of the Particle engine? How was that done at about 14:30 or so? Thanks.
I love how you use Noire's particle engine. I have to admit, I don't use it too much, I use Noire a lot because I love the sound of the piano. I do really love the sub feature as well.
Dude, I'm so happy you put in the chords you are playing on screen! Like I said recently in a comment, I've been trying to understand a bit more about musical theory and having the chords shown can help me give names to certain chords! It war particularly helpful to identify dominant and diminished chords, and also to see what you were doing in your modulations and modal borrowing. Also, if possible, would you ever do a video on modulations and modal borrowing? I feel like that could be imensely helpful! Love your videos and your playing! Can't wait to buy the Writting for Animations Course!
Absolutely! Modal interchange is something I can touch more on, and I have videos on the channel discussing how I like to modulate. Songwriting for Animation is currently available for 40% off! Just use coupon code BF40 at checkout! www.christophersiu.com/songwriting%20for%20animation
Awesome! The Noire's my favorite pop grand, by far. With the color knob, you can dial it up to have a dark, mellow orchestral tone, or, contrary to what you said, a very bright sound that's at home in '80s-style pop and rock (which I love!). The felt piano and the granular engine are great additions, too, of course.
Hi sir. I would like to ask how to upload best quality sound using native instrument pianos. When I uploads it seems like the sound is too compressed and it doesnt sound like the original. How can I upload on youtube with the same sound quality as what I hear while it is still on my daw? Thank you for the reply
Nice work as always, Chris! I might need to look into getting ChordieApp -- I've been looking for something like that to use when teaching for awhile now!
I came here for the Noire review but got something much better, can we just appreciate how beautiful Chris improvises.
You're too kind Josh :)
Bro your piano skills are the best.!

Hi, Noire - Nils Frahm plugin Is it compatible with Garageband?
I love how you use Noire's particle engine. I have to admit, I don't use it too much, I use Noire a lot because I love the sound of the piano. I do really love the sub feature as well.

Hi, do you recommend getting Noire or CinePiano?. and thanks!

I'm fully convinced now that it's not my vst setting, it's my basic playing skills. ☹

Yes, its a shame that Mr. Siu missed the "magic knobs" ("Color" and "Tonal Shift") ;)
Thanks so much for watching!
