Well the active ingredient is the castor leaves, as castor oil is a powerful emetic. The downside is that although the castor bean has the highest concentration of ricin, at certain times of the year it's present in the leaves too. Drugs really destroy people and drive them to do mad things. It's a shame because some are probably not bad at heart. Some of them in rehab even feel remorse for the things they done, it's a good sign, a sign their moral values are coming back. Their love of others is coming back after rehab.
Does the "purging cure" have genuine detoxifying benefits, or is it more psychological in nature? Given that one doesn't eat as much when hooked on speed or meth, which obviously damages one's health over time, shouldn't they be on a regime of nutritious food intake to help their bodies recover?

Vomiting makes you release endorphins
I hope they'll change for a better life.
Love this documentary
I was also waiting for relapsed patients if there were any. It would be even critical ina way. Winning on drugs is hard once you are hooked in to it.
Not only thailand... In the Philippines too, i'm not proud of it but i tried it .But what shocked me when I was there was that some who used it didn't know how harmful it is and that it's actually a dangerous drug. I was even told that some see it as a "medicine". :(
rr_MiChELlE_rr everyone in thailand knows it's bad, but none of these types of people care too much

Why the fuck did they put in a bong sound effect there? Sucking through a straw does not make that noise. Are you even trying, Vice?
Anti-Secure He hold water in his mouth to simulate bong.
Anti-Secure He had water in his mouth; you can see him spit it out after he takes his hit later in the video.
Didn't you see the molten Yaba creating bubbles? I don't think VICE are the kind of documentary producers to add sound effects.
Anti-Secure I know a girl from Bangladesh (In Bangladesh Yaba is big in the rich community) who holds a bottle cap in her mouth to take away the taste as it's horrible. They use techniques to block the taste from the smoke.
Anti-Secure Those Asians are apparently so stupid they don't know that methamphetamine is water soluble and they are losing their product in the water. They better be drinking that shit since they are so piss poor.
Would have been good if they could have revisited those 3 guys six months or a year later to see how they are doing now.
Love the narration
The journalist bought a pipe. You know she tried that shit lol.
lmao vice never heard of her ever since
@@sixhunna66 selling her ass for yaba
VICE IS BACK!
VOODOO CHILD This is old as fuck man. VICE is dead.
VOODOO CHILD they just fucking re-upload this shits old.

7:45 ive tripped balls on morning glory
I wish them all the Best ❤️
I've seen tons of ice in thailand and been offered it multiple times. It's definitely everywhere, I'm positive you could find it easily in any decently sized city much less the capital
Very cool that they have supports for dealing with this addiction. Maybe the success rate could be improved with more studies on the vomit compound. Also addressing what stressors led these folks to addiction and how they can manage these when they return to their lives away from this rehab.
Well the active ingredient is the castor leaves, as castor oil is a powerful emetic. The downside is that although the castor bean has the highest concentration of ricin, at certain times of the year it's present in the leaves too. As ricin is absorbed through the intestinal wall it's not the best choice of herbal emetic. Especially used every day for two weeks.
The only reason i watch this cause i was try to learn a new way of how to smoke wy,but somehow i feel kinda moved by that guy who cry because of his family and his addiction
Fact: Ya Ba was originally called, and still is, Ya Ma (Horse Pill) due to first being legally produced and sold in Thailand by the British pharmaceutical company Wellcome. Wellcome stamped their horse logo on their methamphetamine pills. The sale of over-the counter methamphetamine was banned in Thailand in the mid-1970s but the nickname Horse Pill continues till this day in Thailand.
so its not really a new form of Meth like the title claims? shocker lol..
I hope these people are living good lives now
As a heroin addict in the uk this makes sense, when im strung out i have found hot showers work when you sweting have a shower and massage your body ut gets it out quicker.
The truly sad part is that it only takes 1 hit to become completely addicted again. Once u r an addict the drug becomes completely controlling an 1min bad decision could put u right back where u were, completely strung out and lost
Thats not true for everyone, even for people who are addicted and then stop. The complexities of addictive behavior have spend studied pretty extensively .
The whole vomiting thing I'm not sure about but whatever works!! The sauna/steam room is a great idea. More rehabs should offer that.
Totally off topic but her eyes are gorgeous up close 😍
I like how they put the sound of someone smoking a bong when that dude was hittin that pill off the foil 😂
It makes that sound when done
s chan it’s no where near that.. some crackling and bubbling, but you can clearly hear that’s air passing through water in a bubbler or something small.
dark but reality, excellent doc!
I live in Thailand but not in Bangkok but the thing is I have never seen the government or the news speak clearly or like sincerely speaking about this situation I mean maybe because the kids or people who are curious about "yaba" never knew like the effect of it so some have to tried it themself so it turned out like this
“Someone told me this is for Yaba” *pointing at a rig*
wow, this was deep.. Vomiting? well, I guess you have to go thru extreme measures to kick habits. No pain no gain.
Drugs really destroy people and drive them to do mad things. It's a shame because some are probably not bad at heart. Some of them in rehab even feel remorse for the things they done, it's a good sign, a sign their moral values are coming back. Their love of others is coming back after rehab.
Keep coming back guys
Does the "purging cure" have genuine detoxifying benefits, or is it more psychological in nature? Given that one doesn't eat as much when hooked on speed or meth, which obviously damages one's health over time, shouldn't they be on a regime of nutritious food intake to help their bodies recover?
its only for 17 days and the need to vomit probably only lasts until all the vomit teas out. they might be on one outside of the vomit sessions. and the vomiting seems to only be for like a couple days or something
Eating porridge while watching this episode is so nice.
Very Great place to rest and get healed
@5:08 Exercising! 😂 Yo he jumped up soon as he saw that camera like "I'm gonna be famous y'all!" His ppl's up and left his goofy fake exercising self! I've never seen an addict move so quick for anything other than the next high.. I know, lmao! Too, too funny!
I wonder what the relapse turnover rate of that place is....
i went here for a month in december 2013 , its where my profile pic was taken .. the treatment gets you clean , no doubt. then its down to you .
West ham
rocket wadson 🤣🤣
rocket wadson yeah you get a meat pie and black eye, then it's all up to you
I spent a month here in 2011 , not for meth , but it was an experience I won't forget...
5:14 nah hes just a new arrival still tweaking HARD LOLOL
10:46 - 10:56 the guy says yaba "meth" is the "#1 highest epidemic drug in the area then proceeds go say #3 is ice.... 😅😂😂 It's the same thing crystal meth is "ice"
Ice is crack/meth if u ask
