Marcus Grimes I mean, you can obviously tune a harley to be fast, nitrous, turbo, etc, but mystic there is insane... pro stock? you mean harley can compete in pro stock when suzuki is hamstrung? 53 extra cubes for the harleys, harleys are allowed to be injected while others aren't... almost like someone is paying pro stock to allow slow hogs to have an advantage...

Too bad you're so uninformed. Today's stock F-series Harley's are matching big block muscle cars from the 1960's-early 1970's quarter mile times. Like 13 seconds @ 95MPH. Certainly nothing to sneeze at since they're not "dragsters" and bone stock. By the way, I worked for John Deere Industrial (the yellow tractors) as a shop and field mechanic from 1978 to 1985. I'm "qualified". You? Not so much...
@@47485ksc ....I'm not uninformed. I have never seen any fast harleys that weren't strickly built for drag racing. There's not a stock harley out there that can even come close to the other bikes. I raced a guy with my 1985 1100 against his 2006ish 1450 harley turd and wasted him. And that slow-assed vrod couldn't do shit either. I used to own a harley, and will never again. You have no clue as to my qualifications. But to each his own. Believe what you want.
bottom line : pound for pound and dollar for dollar - harley's can't keep up. the old evo's are 80 cid / 1340 cc. the busa is 1300. i can run 9.60 / 165 mph on a stock busa with no bar, pump gas and street tires. i would however prefer an all day ride on an electra or road king vs my busa
Thats why we buy them and build them. It can be built to run 8s which is faster than about every other bike on the road but I can cruise and listen to the radio when I want to and relax.
And, so what? I'll ride my 80" HD across the entire USA and get off of it and go dancing. I can also do so while getting 60mpg. Can your Hybusa do that? NO....
Uh Huh. First I have owned and rode most style (engine) bikes. Yes i am old, and been riding since 1979. First a WHOLE LOT depends on the pilot. I have been beat bad and consistently by skilled rider on a 'slow' bikes. The consistent guy was on a stock DOCH 450 Honda, I was riding an almost new Kaw Ninja (liter class), fast, very fast. Then I rode a lightly rodded Harley on a dare. Addictive stuff! Anyway, I ride HDs not for speed, but for aesthetics, the best way to say it is you sit on a Standard 4cyl Asian bike, (and in a weird posture too) ! on a HD you sit in it, it feels like riding a thoroughbred horse. Lastly, girls LOVE cowboys !

Take a stock Japanese four cylinder, put it in a light drag racing frame and run low eights all day for a 1/10 the cost.
