That was really enjoyable. If you ever get stressed about seams, watch this to chill out. Thank you for putting this all together it is really helpful!
This video highlights something I experienced about 6 months ago while I was trying different mountain mesh/texture replacers: it's really damn hard to do a replacer that doesn't have obvious seams somewhere. Almost all of these have a visible texture seam somewhere in the comparison shots, and it's impossible to *not* see it once you do. Majestic Mountains has always been great about this on its own, and I think most of the people doing MM texture replacers don't appreciate the work that went in to generate the textures so they don't show the seams. ERM is equally impressive, and I didn't notice any distinct texture seams in what was shown. If you're picky about stuff like that, be careful to pick a combination that isn't going to stick out like a sore thumb when you're in game.
Wow - I had no idea how many mountain mods there were. Now I'm itching to give a few of them a try. I just wish I had the skill to place CleverCharff's icicles into the landscape as they are the best I've seen. Thank you for a comprehensive showcase. It really helps.
Majestic Mountains is the standout for me. It's consistently good, often great, and looks even better from a distance - the most important thing for mountain mods imo
Do these mods work for both Skyrim and Skyrim SE? What is the difference between the games I don't own SE but if it means better features for mods I may consider purchasing it. Could you provide any insight. These videos are phenomenal for deciding which mods to install for visual splendor. It must have taken ages to make these and I applaud you for your work.
But it only works for old version of mm. Does that cause problems? Some of my plants keep spawning with blue frames around them. Dunno if that has to do with it
true nordic mountains looks the most realistic out of the bunch . also i appreciate you doing these, must be alot of work but it helped me out alot
Nopes majestic mountain still looks the best and most suitable for Skyrim
Realistic =/= Good.
100% depends on what fits to both the game and your likings.
Northfires photoreal mountains 3 for majestic is insane

Holy Mountains makes the rocks look nice and weathered in patterns that make some sense, I love it! Hope it works with Simplicity of Snow...
this helps so much coming from a vr player, thankyou
These are super helpful. Thx for putting in the work :)

I've been looking for this, thanks :D
Would have been awesome to include Vivid Rocking Stones and Mountains, I love its textures.
Great stuff :)
Im always struck how beautiful vanilla is
Really though, the only issue with the vanilla textures is just how dated they are
@@antiope-d9780 The graphics team were wonderful. I miss the time when beautiful graphics were important :(
Holy Mountains lives up to its name.

Majestic Mountains Northside & Northfires Photoreal Mountains 3 for Majestic are the best.

Not next but sure :)
@@pixelstoryzzz Yes, please! We don't have any snow comparisons on RUclips, AFAIK.

landscape textures can affect the mountains as well
What rain textures do you use? I love those
In this video, Rudy ENB is used for Cathedral Weathers.
Majestic is still my #1.
ERM best blending with Atlantean Landscape.
northfires photoreal mountain 3 for majestic is easily the best mountain for skyrim period, nothing comes close. simply perfection
But it only works for old version of mm. Does that cause problems? Some of my plants keep spawning with blue frames around them. Dunno if that has to do with it
Tree snow mod plis
Happy Little Trees
This is really good, but it should've been done with better lighting and without an ENB. Lot's of details are lost and some scenes are barely visible.
