Whole Nation stood still and cried for them, we can never repay what we owe to those insanely brave Men And yes, even with all that grief, vast majority of ‘em Stayed and Kept Fighting on..

Hahaha it's funny you mention that because my grammas family was from Canada and when she had my dad and twin uncle, and THEY were old enough to join in Vietnam my uncle wanted to be a pilot like this!! So Everytime I hear this song I think of him!! He ended up becoming a neurologist with his own clinic but during Vietnam he specialized in emergency head trauma (cause you didn't get to pick what you would do, you were TOLD) and he was one of the men that would be in the BACK of the rescue helicopters. Him and a team of people would go close to enemy territory to scoop you up and bring you back to safety if you were shot or injured. But boy did he always talk about how he wanted to be one of these talented few. ❤❤

I also am American and Canadian citizen thanks to my father who was born in Canada. The Canadian Super Scooper in this series scared the heck out of me because he was so close to the ground. I want to apologize to Canada, as do so many of my fellow Americans that one of your planes was damaged by a drone operator. I am sure that person has been dealt with severely. You are very understanding to continue helping us and I want to say God Bless all of you and our American firefighters. May God watch over all of you and keep you safe.

@oynlengeymer2434 Yes, the drone brought down the plane, but our Canadian friends didn't let that stop them. They repaired that plane, then flew it back to continue to help with the fires. That, with several others they are flying. True heroes, nothing brings them down.
Generally speaking, we love Americans! Alot of us have family members that are Americans. We just don’t want to be part of America, even though we love America. All of us want our forest fire fighters to help as much as they are capable to.

I'm watching this everyday from less than 35 miles away from the fire. Red flag warning zone. Helps when I feel so afraid and for those in the midst of it and for those already evacuated. The video where the planes swoop down and scoop water out of the ocean is the first I ever heard of that. Saw it after the first week of crazy hurricane force winds when planes couldn't fly to drop water and fire repellant and we had not enough water. Once the winds gave us a break, these guys our powerful brave heros came to life to save lives. Thank you air warriors and all firefighters from everywhere for helping us. I could see much smoke from less than 35 miles away and felt great fear. I know it is worse for those closer and I am in Constant Heartfelt Prayer for All of you and your loved ones😢😮😢❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's more dangerous than you know. I'm a retired commercial instructor "who cut his teeth" flying gliders, routinely wearing parachutes in case we hit the other dopey bugger. I wouldn't entertain doing that job for all the tea in China. It's not merely incredibly skilled, it's utterly punishing to the airframes, engines, prop CSU's with the added attraction of flying into some "Cumulo granite"/wires/trees/exploding trees/canyons/smoke/other aircraft/flames. Then there's the sheer exhaustion that kind of flying can create. Very brave.

I saw them up close a few years ago. There was a huge brush fire on the hill opposite the I-5 freeway from me in Oregon. Six helos and a refitted 707 dropped water and retardant on the thing as close as 1/4 mile from my house. The helos flew right over my house and were dipping into the Rogue River, but I didn't see them drop any salmon or steelhead on the fire. They are extremely talented. Love those guys.

I saw numberplates from way across the country, army joining helicopters flying. It still gives me goose bumps. You're not alone folks ...

A lot of these clips aren't even US firefighters. I am not a pro but for example I know the yellow plane. Those are built in Canada which have most of them. That plane's markings indicates it is Spanish (Espana). Anyways thankful for all firefighters and anyone who tries to make the world better plus cares for fellow humans. 🙏🙌

Absolutely. A MEGA THANK YOU from me too. Here in North Carolina, we have seen our share of devastations over the years. My daughter and SiL lost their home in the last hurricane. FEMA did nothing., and said they could get a "LOAN", IF they qualified. It was awful. But, SO THANKFUL for you firefighters....you guys see some of the WORST of the Worst. God Bless you all.

I lived in Ramona, Ca. 12 years and to watch these guys work a fire was incredible. These videos are cool, but they dont show the half of it. Best part was when they had a field helo base in the field next to my house. There was nothing timid about these guys. They ROCK!
Yeah we had a reservoir on our neighbors citrus farm in SB and we watched the helos get water, the dumb pilot called the Sherriff on us and reported us as potential terrorists even though we had permission to be there and were just watching. So fuck these guys and their union wages.

As a country (Australia) that suffers similarly, and can remember when the U.S. sent us two of these amazing helicopters to help us, may I say these pilots, in fact, all firefighters, are worth their weight in gold and precious jewels or anything else they may want. The skill the pilots show is phenomenal, and they do this with no thanks in mind. Thank them anyway. May I also say the soundtrack is perfect.

I saw them up close a few years ago. There was a huge brush fire on the hill opposite the I-5 freeway from me in Oregon. Six helos and a refitted 707 dropped water and retardant on the thing as close as 1/4 mile from my house. The helos flew right over my house and were dipping into the Rogue River, but I didn't see them drop any salmon or steelhead on the fire. They are extremely talented. Love those guys.

Together we can prevail... we had flooding once in east germany about 12 years ago, all alone with the neighbors on the dam but then firefighters from all over the country started showing up. I saw numberplates from way across the country, army joining helicopters flying. It still gives me goose bumps. You're not alone folks ...

I am not a pro but for example I know the yellow plane. Those are built in Canada which have most of them. That plane's markings indicates it is Spanish (Espana).

I lived in Ramona, Ca. 12 years and to watch these guys work a fire was incredible. These videos are cool, but they dont show the half of it. Best part was when they had a field helo base in the field next to my house. There was nothing timid about these guys. They ROCK!

Yeah we had a reservoir on our neighbors citrus farm in SB and we watched the helos get water, the dumb pilot called the Sherriff on us and reported us as potential terrorists even though we had permission to be there and were just watching. So fuck these guys and their union wages.
