My first playthrough was basically straight high honor, but I finally managed to get a low-to-high honor run going the other day, where I “redeem” Arthur towards the end. The ideal goal would be to max out honor but if that’s not feasible, I just want to get the deer vision instead of the coyote (or wolf, can’t remember). You might want to try that since ideally it still gives you the high honor ending.
Abigail does NOT have low honor … where would this even be implied she has low honor besides bitching at John for behind a bad father ?? Genuinely confused 😂 she was a sweetheart and absolutely admired Arthur as an old brother type , I remember in the story I think it’s right after you rescue John , Abigail approaches you at camp and thanks you , they start talking about Dutch looking like he’s losing his mind and Arthur says “just be careful” and Abigail responds with “ I don’t have to be careful , I … I have you as a friend “ . Warms my heart to this day that John and Abigail admired and loved Arthur so much .
I disagree. A man of faith, lying to his god. Drinking, gambling and all that alone takes away from his honor. Not saying he was anti honor but not the highest of the camp. That was pretty mutch Marybeth
Expanding on what you said, even though I believe Arthur was truly a good man at heart the only way he could somewhat repay the world for the things he’s done was what happened in the endings, dying for someone else (John and his family) No matter how many people he helps and saves he will still always be in debt from the hundreds of people he’s killed and their families he’s inadvertently devastated. To finish off my yapping session, Arthur was a good man who got roped in with the wrong people and did some horrible things, so I guess he deserved what happened on that mountain. (As the way of the west)
He is an anti villain There are no uncanon cause rockstar never said anything In rdr2 he killed 300+ in like at most 3 months And he was with dutch for about 20 years Meaning he is a professional killer and robber, making him have a low honor

@@dylanschafer172 “saved everyone” literally 3 people directly, a few more if you count him telling people to leave as saving them. And not to mention the people he saves are criminals. Arthur kills like a lot of people, not just through players actions but in lore before the game takes place and certain people during the story. The honor meter is a gameplay mechanic, not a really measurement system, so this list isn’t honor relative to the video games narrative, it’s relative to a world of human people. Murdering 100 people doesn’t suddenly become honorable just because you feel bad about it or because you help Jack get away
If we take a spin on the word honor and change it to "regard of one self" I would say that Arthur's sacrifice is more honorable and higher regarded than most actions in the whole game.
@@moonchild4789 Dude fr people don't understand that It's your choice how you want to play Arthur. Good honor endings and bad honor endings are your choice

Stf Dijon musturd crust "Oh you killed 100+ people and robbed, assulted and kiddnaped AND YOU MURDERED SOMEONE AT 12!? OOH You did two weeks of good deeds nvm you good."
In terms of Arthur i would say that you cant tell his Honor since it really depends on the player if Arthur goes around, saving people, Helping them, or if he is just a thief killing people. So I would not give Arthur a honor there.
this aint undertale where the characters and game acknowlege your existence. red dead has a story where you just play it. sure your actions can affect the shown story but there is only one real canon story which is the high honor ending of arthur but this video is tryna show their overall honor and arthur is overall a bad person before tb and figuring out what he will do before he dies.
Arthur is human, he's imperfect. The player decides whether Arthur becomes an honorable/dishonourable man by the end of the game, but it doesn't change the fact that Arthur has robbed and killed hundreds of people throughout the main story. The canon of Arthur actually having the honorable ending and the whole point of his redemption isn't him become a saint, it's him replenishing the terrible deeds he's done throughout his life by helping other people, and realising that he has in fact done horrible things his whole life and then profoundly regrets it. Arthur was introduced as killer and a thief, but then died like a brave strong man, not a saint or a necessarily "high honour" man.
Well then shouldn’t be given a pass as well for growing up being raised by killers and thieves, that probably had an effect on his mental health and state and yet he still was able to turn at the end
honor is about respect, in 1899 you're not going to respect a woman who's an ex-prostitute (Not that there's anything wrong with doing that, it was just frowned upon.) unless you're the one hiring her. she'd have low honor.
Sure, Arthur killed thousands of people, however, high or low honor is not really based on whether you are an outlaw or a good citizen that listens to the law. High and low honor is mostly based on how honorable you are to people and whether you are an insane guy or someone with good reasoning and high respect. Arthur is very honorable because of what he does for the gang, how he treats other people, how he deeply cares about the gang and much more, so Killing thousands of people doesn't really affect the honor Arthur has, especially when considering that Arthur kills only people who are a threat to him and his gang and does not really go after innocent people, but does rob them like for exampled the saint denis bank robbery. The only time Arthur's honor would realistically have his honor decreased because of murder would be if he killed innocent unarmed people that are not a threat to him or his gang, and again, it's not about how many people you killed and how many crimes you've committed, it's about how you are seen as by other people and how memorable and honorable you are.
Really? Because my Arthur didn't. And the game lets ME AND YOU choose what Arthur's honor and ending is. Does he die from getting beaten to death or a bullet? YOUR CHOICE. The canon ending is him dying, It's your choice how he dies in that mission
@@ldorganics So what? Stealing is stealing. If we base it of how it wotks in the game, Arthur looses honor for every crime he commits and taht would include stealing
@@justinh9674So by that logic everyone in the gang is low honor automatically bc of the number of people they rob and kill. That’s a weak argument. Arthur didn't get redemption. He helped people in the end but he couldn't redeem himself at all after killing hundreds of people.
I got a low honor story but that was just because it was unintentional😂
Abigail does NOT have low honor … where would this even be implied she has low honor besides bitching at John for behind a bad father ?? Genuinely confused 😂 she was a sweetheart and absolutely admired Arthur as an old brother type , I remember in the story I think it’s right after you rescue John , Abigail approaches you at camp and thanks you , they start talking about Dutch looking like he’s losing his mind and Arthur says “just be careful” and Abigail responds with “ I don’t have to be careful , I … I have you as a friend “ . honor is about respect, in 1899 you're not going to respect a woman who's an ex-prostitute (Not that there's anything wrong with doing that, it was just frowned upon.) unless you're the one hiring her. she'd have low honor.
