Remember watching this on match of the day on tbe Saturday night when i was 14. Brilliant game. Huge crowd for a then second division game. Thst season Utd had a higher average attendance thsn Liverpool who won the old first division championship
I was in the 5 Sunderland supporters that took penalties on the pitch against the Man Utd Supporters at 2-30 before the game and again at half time WHAT AN EXPERIENCE THAT WAS !!!
An epic Second Division promotion clash, & wasn't it voted MOTD's "match of the season" for 1974-75? There were more than 60,000 inside OT for the game, I just wish I could have been one of them!
