Is Alaska always the klister cover or do you play around with it depending on conditions. I have no alaska(but it’s on my shopping list) so I decided to try M16 over a universal klister- it was great today(32-33 manmade snow after some thaw refreeze, tracks were partial glazed and it was super foggy to the point of slippery ground in spots). Does it make sense to vary the cover or is it more, “a cover is a cover” and if M16 was good today alaska would have been better? Im falling in love with klister but trying to get good at making it faster.

Could you make a video of different hand structures that are good for different snow conditions.💯

This is very helpful, thanks! Would you ever use a speed cover over klister, and if so, do all the same rules apply, or would you do anything different?

Yeah - we've for sure used speed covers in klister conditions in the past. That's one area where fluorinated "grip powder" works really well. I've played with different materials for a fluoro free grip powder, and have also played with liquids. When I have something working in a way that I'm excited about, I'll be sure to share it!

Do u remember the top coat deicer called Sarajevo liquid? Back in 80s I used it plenty of times on icing issues and worked like a charm. Reminded me when you did the liquid glide. Great vids

Oh, for sure I remember the Sarajevo liquid! Once fluoros came along that was pretty much relegated to scrap heap. I've tried a handful of different silicone treatments in this post-fluoro world, and so far they're not as good as the liquid gliders for this purpose.

@@caldwellsportski love the in depth videos . Hope gunner is doing well with his Nordic skiing. My boy (22) did it for awhile but Football ⚽️ was passion. Pro in Australia 🇦🇺.

Cool ! I 've been using Star's liquids & pucks for glide. Could I use the liquids as speed cover over skins? I ski Speedmax 3D twin skins.

The Next liquids are awesome on skins - just put them tip to tail, and don't bother brushing the skins!

Have you tested Star Cold as an anti icer for zeroskis?

I've tried all the liquids as anti-ice additives for Zero skis. They sort of work... but not like fluoro. I'm really working hard on a new method to make zeros/hairies fast and "safe" but this is an area where fluoros will be very hard to replace.
