The stations at Lille are so huge for a VAL 208, contrary to Rennes. It would be nice if you try Rennes's VAL.

Oh, I see the speed now! :D I wonder why there aren't so many VALs outside France. In Bratislava, they thought about building one, but they have decided to build a fast tram instead, because of the low capacity (which I don't understand, you can run the trains frequently ).

And also, why are there more doors on the stations? I can see there is no door mechanism. Were the trains longer before, or it was just a plan that never happened?

They plan to run 4-car trains starting in 2020. Some of the stations were originally built with 55m-long platforms (4 cars), but some weren't (26m - 2 cars). They are currently enlarging the platforms of these short stations.
New trains have been ordered for line 2. Then, the Val 208s you see in this video will be transfered to line 1.
