39 years ago, I boarded from this station for one last time. I could never make it back. So much is left behind. Three wonderful years of my childhood in this small n peaceful town. Wish, I go back and see if pieces of time are still hanging there.

I had visit this station in 1981 or 82 . I was 18 or 19 year old back then . The place has completely changed but the station remains the same

I used to live in a place called Solmara, I left in 1976 after my father retired and remember this station, the meter gauge track and its close proximity to the river, during monsoon, it would flood into the station area. I am now beginning to understand as to why the authorities did not develop this station to accommodate broad gauge and electrification of the route. Its sad to see the state of the station, but I think, its the price one pays for progress. Connectivity to the Dekkargoan station from the city center is vital to make travel easier for passengers. Would love to visit the city once again. Thank you for the vlog and letting me relive a little of my past.
Tezpur is the cultural capital of Assam. I appeal to the Central Govt. to restore this Station.

meter guage train was from tezpur to Rangapara North and then to Morkongselek via Baliparpara and Rangapara North to Rangiya. Narrow guage was even earlier from Tezpur to Balipara for Tea GARDENS ONLY to connect ships plying in BRAHMPUTRA. AT that time BALIPARA railway station was near PHULBARI TEA ESTATE.

You can say Decargaron railway station is present day "Tezpur Station" because it is only 3.1 km away from Mission Chariali.

How it is impossible...if IR can run train in tough condition of himalaya....why not here...there many example very tough rail route ...there is something else
There are enough lobbies who threatened the railway officials when the railway again wanted to start this project cz majority of the railway lines are encroached by locals.
