I appreciate this episode because I have a busy life with a family and there is only so much gas in the tank. My biggest problem is getting people to slow down rolls
Amatuer runners do the same shit where they try to continually add volume at high intensity and inevitably get hurt. The pros running huge volume do most of it at (relatively) very low intensity.
Bros, brazilian here. Joey is quite correct. Porra literally means "sperm" and is a curse word. "Porrada" means brawl and has nothing to do with Porra. Also, Porrada is not an offensive word, not even close. Whereas Porra is, the sort of shit that makes your mother hit you with a broom - unless you are Carioca.
BR here too, and I'd like to second that. "Porrada" comes from "Porrete" (club, stick, truncheon), and it originally meant "to hit with a truncheon", just like "facada" means "to stab", or "paulada" "to hit with a stick".
I was wondering is it ok to do 2 gi and 2 no gi classes during week? I joined a new BJJ gym which is 1 minute away from me but I do no gi in BJJ gym that primarily do no gi but they do night classes while new gym they do no gi but 6am to 7am which I like to do in morning before work
The fact you made a whole podcast about porrada everyday is the greatest waste of time on earth ...who cares just train don't look to deep into jeesh ...

So true mate, some people gas out during session and you see them sit out while your busy doing live sparring drills

@@Jeffro5564 The amount of time isnt that important. If your body can take it, do it, if your body needs to rest, put it to rest, so on and so forth.
