I remember my first pedal was a Behringer TS-800, still use it 2 years later and it sounds great for punk
The behringer pedals are awesome, crazy quality packed into those little things
3 Essentials: GE-7, Delay (best with modulation options), wide-range dostortion like RAT. With GE-7 you are able to simulate different types of sounds and use it as a booster. With delay, you can make slight slap-back for old school rock, huge solo sounds, ambiance, simulate chorus or reverb. I'd recommend Carbon Copy or EHX Deluxe Memory Man Nano. RAT is the best rated distortion for a reason - it suits a lot of styles and can do lighter to really heavy or fuzzy sounds, with EQ you are good to go.
All excellent pedal choices! I just wish my Rat didn't have a high end filter, but it's great on bass for that same reason
A 7-band EQ pedal should be the first one you get.
Eqs are great and you can do a lot of tone shaping. I feel like when you're first starting out you should focus more on figuring out onboard amp eq
Is a noise suppressor the same thing as a noise gate? If not, what is the difference and when should I use one over the other?
Short answer: Basically the same thing. A gate is better if you're doing metal and a suppressor for punk/rock
@@anndynegative Thanks
Can someone explain why should i buy a distorsion pedal instead of my amp's overdrive?
Different distortion sounds. Or if your amp doesn't have distortion like. Fender twin
Im even trying to buy a decent amplifier lol
Get a fuzz pedal and then get another fuzz pedal and then get an octave fuzz
Rigs of doom entered the chat
In terms of effect pedals go big or go home. If there is a "super" or "turbo" version choose this and leave the standard pedal alone. You can always reduce levels, but you cannot push the pedal beyond its limits.
Im even trying to buy a decent amplifier lol
I got a video about that ;)
@@anndynegative oh! Thanks 😎
