Wouldn't things get done faster if Cruz and Abbott was in town? Shouldn't this be all hands on deck?
You ask Hidalgo did she need anything ?
She answered correctly ...No
Her power is still on and she has a net worth of 10million dollars. Not bad for DIE Hire who does nothing for Harris County.
Why didn't you ask her what did the Harris County Citizens need ?that would have made a lot more sense to her. She is not the sharpest knife in the drawer 😅
The red political hacks in Austin DON'T want Hidalgo cuz she's a Democrat, a woman, she has guts, and she speaks truth to power. All the qualities that they hate she's got them.
Blame Biden, but where is our Governor? Are all our leaders getting old and cranky?
Katrina vibes.
It is possible that Harris County has what we need. Dan Patrick believes that women should not be managers placed above men; maybe that's why Lina Hidalgo isn't overly excited about asking for help. After Harvey, the State of Texas received the HUD funding...and allocated NONE of it to Harris County or to the City of Houston.
Lt. Governor Patrick is correct. And I would add it is a disgrace for Democrats to take an opportunity to play politics with Federal dollars, dollars paid by the citizens of Texas and the United States through Federal taxes, when that money needs to go out to thise who are trying to get their life back to normal after a natural disaster.
Crooks!!!!
They started all over again is every time they feel uncomfortable
One of the worst things I think Texas can do is have an attorney or judge in charge of emergency management when they clearly do not have any history in emergency management. That has been the worst decision in Texas legislature in my opinion of all time. This needs to be someone that has been in the industry for years, people with 911, Peace Officer, Firefighter, Paramedic or EMT history, HAZMAT, along with those in the Healthcare and Power and Gas Industry.....not attorney's and not judges. I've seen how attorney's are are screwing up the State of Ohio when they are put in areas or positions they have no history in, just because they are an attorney, or have master's degrees in things like accounting, or basket weaving...lol
Another thing, no one thought this was going to be a big deal, even the citizens in Texas. Tropical Storm to a Hurricane 1.......oh, that's nothing right? WRONG...they can still be deadly. And I do believe that Biden has no clue what he was doing at the time and had to be corrected by staff....lol
“County Judge” is the name of a position, you don’t need to be an actual lawyer or judge to hold that position.
Yes, it’s misleading and I thought as you did for a long time that an actual judge had to hold that position but that is not the case.
It’s really just the executive seat of county government.
I do agree that county office holders should be relying on professionals in emergency management.
I still remember the debacle of hurricane Rita in 2005, where almost the entire city of Houston tried to evacuate and shut down highways and roads across multiple counties because people were running out of gas while waiting in traffic and the gas stations ran dry with no gas available.
Not sure I’ve ever seen a more mismanaged emergency.
But to be honest, I think people’s shift from self reliance to government reliance is a big factor here.
I took it upon myself to be prepared for situations like this and the result is, I don’t need government to do anything to help me.
Deflection 😢
That law enforcement officer was a Sheriff's Deputy. The attack was not in Houston, it was in Harris County. It is still a tragedy and a HORRIBLE thing. But listen to Patrick's words: he announced he was there to talk about Houston, then went on his rant. He did not mention that the officer was a deputy, not a police officer. He was vague about his vehicle. He then spoke generally about police, before serving notice to criminals of Houston. All doing his best to give the impression that Democratic cities like Houston are dangerous places full of animals.
The suburb it happened is part of Houston, I live on that suburb
Houston is dangerous, just watch the news every evening.
About 15 minutes of the nightly news is dedicated to crime in Houston.
TROLL ALERT!!! You're probably Biden supporter.
Where is our governor and cancun cruz?
🐀💰🐀"Created Chaos"🐀💰🐀
"The Centerpoint Energy Stand-Down" 😢
Where is the ice & food. None to be found in Spring. Where is the Red Cross after all the donations?
The Circus Comes to Town!
Democrats never get this combative questions from the media
What about Ft Bend
And what about fort bend county
Fort Bend County got an over-sized share of Centerpoint's resources yesterday...at Harris County's expense. FB has 12.5% of the customers in the area, and 12.5% of the outages, and until yesterday, you were getting around the same percentage of the outages cleared each day. Yesterday, you got over 25%, Brazoria County got a similar bump, and Harris County, with 75% of customers and 73% of outages, got 59% of the clearance.
Entergy still has a long way to go north of houston
Im the Not Ready
Maybe the Lt Governor should the actual governor.
I need only help me lolobet
