Great video as always. Amazing tonal characteristics just playing with the volume knob. And using my favorite guitar ever - made it even more fun to watch. Merry Christmas, Joe!
Hi Joe, I have a GMR BC Bender - a silicon transistor Tone Bender 1.5 clone - which sounds great through my Vox AC30 but have been curious as to finding out what an original spec germanium transistor clone sounds like and this sounds damn good, I shall have to put in an order for this one, thanks for the awesome demo!... 👍
Joe could you please do a video comparing your Fuzz Face vs this Mk1.5? just to see if someone who owns one of the two does really need to buy the other
@@JoePerkinsMusic I've bought one of the last RambleFx Twin Bender (it has a Mk1.5 and Mk2 in there) that were available in europe. I just really love the Mk2. It's so Rock N Roll. I struggle a bit with Fuzz Faces and Mk1.5 with Filtertrons. You should make a video, or even better, a series of videos showing gain pedals for specific pickups. It's a truly interesting topic. I don't have any PAF equipped guitars, just Filtertrons and Firebird pickups and it's really interesting how both kind of pickups behave so differently with the same pedal at the same settings.
Nick makes some damn good fuzzes at very reasonable prices, however his communication skills could be a lot better and more attentive to the customer service aspect of his business. Great demo, excellent playing and tones.
Hi, I don't usually reply to comments but this is the first time I've ever heard this, usually it's the total opposite. If possible I reply within minutes to any email, if not, it is within 24 hours. I have had problems where my replies have got lost in various spam filters etc but where possible i try my best to follow these up. But apologies for any delay in communication you may have had and I'm really glad you like the pedals 😃
@@WilliamsAudioFx I had had an ongoing email discussion with you some time ago about the OC81D MKII Tonebender and inquired about ordering info, but you suddenly disappeared from the conversation despite my repeated attempts to reach out to you several times thereafter. So I just assumed you weren’t interested in making the sale? 🤷🏻♂️ I have two of your MKII’s with diff. transistors and a MKI, they’re all great fuzzes and I appreciate your abilities as a builder and that you responded here. I would’ve liked to try that MKII with the OC81D’s, but I guess it just wasn’t meant to be.

Yay finally - I’ve been waiting for YOUR demo and checking for it every day this month! Love you Perky!
Aha! Glad I could finally get it shot for you :P
Thanx. The Williams pedals are never disappointing. A video comparing them would certainly be appreciated by us all :-)
_Might_ be planning that for the new year ;-)

Aha, everybody loves the Ron Kirn :P Thanks mate, you too! 👍
Love all of Nick’s benders, in fact I have them all! 😂. NEVER SELLING THEM👊
Likewise! 😂
Im on that train as well , they are the best.
Sounds phenomenal!
Sounds perfect

Cannot recommend Nick’s pedals highly enough - very reasonably priced considering what other top shelf TB’s sell for, and sound perfect!
Happy new year Perky.
Thanks mate - same to you!!
Sounds like a very faithful reproduction.
I like this tone bender. Is the same circuit that The Beatles used on Revolver? As I believe that was a Vox tone bender is that not the V1.5 circuit?
Unsure what the Beatles used - I've never gone too deep into their gear!

It's on the list of things to do - think I'll do the I/1.5/II/III shootout before that though :-)

Why are we all so obsessed with pedals? It's like crack for me.
I like knobs (no homo)
