I've seen "worse", but I agree, the long hair is the Coton's natural signature style and makes them stand out from other small breeds like Bichon, Maltese, Havannese, mini poodles, etc. . I do also have to say, that I don't quite understand why small breeds are "shaved" as much as they are, nobody shaves a Border Collie, Afghan Hound and similar dogs. ( I've been mom to several big breeds with long hair and now am a Coton's mom - 🥰 - Dolly is brushed daily and looks pretty with her long coat.).
coton's hair is cut only with scissors and that's all. My groomer knows this and that's why I would never give my coton in the hands of someone else.@@grandestyledoggrooming
