I have an old GLX spinning rod that has the recoil guides. The noise created by the braid going through the guides really pisses some people off 😂. To be honest I don’t like it either
Thanks for the review. Want to take advantage of the Black Friday sales but having a hard time trying to decide which blanks work for which techniques. The prices make trial and error a little more palatable but don’t really want to build a bunch of rods that don’t work for what I was planning.
Thanks for the review lot lighter blank than I thought was planning on buying it for a 3/8 to 1/2 oz jig rod guess I’ll have to look for something else
I built a spinning rod out of this blank, it makes for a great finesse jig, and neko rig rod, I typically throw 1/4oz-3/8oz football jigs on it, sensitive is definitely a step above the X-ray in my opinion
Hi Captain Lee, Great channel.. Been catching up on the last two years of videos. What NFC Medium/Heavy fast spinning blank would you recommend for inshore, Fluke, Stripe Bass, and northeast fishing?
That's a lot of techniques to cover with one blank, but I would look at the Delta MB 705 or SJ 705 northforkcomposites.com/product/mb-705-1-delta/ northforkcomposites.com/product/sj-705-1-delta/ I recommend the Delta for durability a great price point with the SJ taper being a little lighter. If you are going to be in mostly open water then I would toward the X-Ray SJ 703 ML-EF because it fishing more like a light-ish MH rod. I have 5 rods built on that blank in my boat. I would wait for it to go on sale again, though. northforkcomposites.com/product/sj-703-1x-ray-lmx/
Havent watched yet, but the SJ-703 C6O2 at the increase cost offers zero benefit to the regular SJ-703. I had 6 C6O2 SJ-703, 3 with the Loomis certificate, and 3 without. Weighing and doing CCS testing next to regular xray SJ-703 all of the C6O2 weighed more than or equal to the standard xrays and tested the same. All hype but nothing tangible.
I’m glad I’m not the only one whom thought these blanks were highly overpriced! Thanks for the review, too noisy for me though.
My pleasure!

Fortunately, I don't hear too well...😂

I've got a few more reviews shit, but I wasn't sure how interested you guys were in them. I'll edit and post more of them.

IT should handle a 1/2 oz jig with no issues. It's a great blank but not at $325. Use code BFAIR and get it for $95 today.
Super ! A spinning rod can be made from this blanc !?
Yes, you can. Thanks for watching.

Nice rod
Thanks! Nice trim piece...

Do you have a link to this rod. I went to the NFC web site but couldn't find it.
It's in the X-Ray section northforkcomposites.com/product/mb-725-1x-ray-c6o2/

That's why at $60, it's not a bad deal.
