Kennedy Center and downtown DC are 18 minutes away without traffic (weekends) So you are fully part of DC huge entertainment offer at a much lower housing cost
I just moved out of Tysons a few months ago. You mentioned that Tysons had a good night life but I had trouble finding it. I normally went to Clarendon because they had DJs, dance floors, and no cover charge. Is there anything similar in Tysons?
For clubs and stuff like that not really... You have Starr Hill Biergarten and Tysons Biergarten which can have some live music and a small dance floor in front of the stage. Otherwise, you have places like Earls Kitchen + Bar, Eddies, Barrel & Bushel, Tysons Social Tavern, The O-Lounge, etc... These are all great options to go out and meet new people and have a good time with some friends. Hope that helps!
It would depend on your definition of close. With the metro, you can go virtually anywhere, you'll have access to Vienna, Falls Church, Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax City. And of course, the trip to DC isn't too bad either. Hope that helps!🤠
@@NorthVirginiaLiving Thanks for response . I will be working inTyson’s . But looking for a metro commute under 30 mins to Tyson’s. Any suggestions of where to live
@@Londonfloral_ Good question. There's a lot to unpack there before I can give a personalized response. If you're open to it, give me a call or text at 571-266-2563 and we can discuss your wants/needs, so I can point you in the right direction.
The lack of community and lack of respect for pedestrians and human beings who live here, in general, is sad. You forgot to mention cars racing all night long, cars revving engines all day long, an increase in crime, risking your life to cross streets due to speeding and lack of concern from drivers. Drug use in the street is up and safety seems to be going down. The pros I see as a long time resident are convenience to getting other places, shopping and access to get everyday things, and not having to own a home to be in the area. Also - thanks to social media visitors have trashed Scotts Run nature preserve now.
Virginia as a whole is relatively affordable. It’s Northern Virginia that is much more populated due to its proximity to DC, job opportunities, and great schools, causing prices to increase due to high levels of demand.

Since when did Virginia become expensive
