A retired mate and I - both in our early '60's are looking into the CF Moto 800 Explorer's to get out and do some adventure riding - this seems like the perfect bike @ the perfect $$. Previously looked at the T7oo Yamaha, and even the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally pro - but why spend another 10K + to get less? You show great passion for your new bike mate = sold me! Well done!
I didn't realise you also got the list guards etc as part if the purchase of the Ike. I was already keen on the explore but that's definitely made my mind up for me.

I see they have a system update so you can now see tyre pressures in psi units and quick select the plus ride modes from the function button. Good to see they are updating improvements !. Seems like a perfect bike for my requirements and your review covered the bikes features REALLY well !. Nice one ☝️
Well !, seriously happy with my purchase and can’t believe the features that this bike has. Only two things I can nitpick would be a little top heavy so care needed positioning the bike and perhaps a few more vibes through the bars compared with my previous vstroms (650 & 1000). Those looking for a true 70/30 road/gravel bike who want all the features at a bargain price…go buy one !. Seriously AWESOME bike.
You can get an ECU remapping from DC Cycle and Racing that will greatly improve the snatch throttle issue and eliminate the flat spot at the 5,000 RPM range.

D A Z Z A. I was not expecting you to pop a mono. You Beast Although you can get a BMW F 750 GS with all the options for 17K on sale now. I bet you could haggle to 16K. If you factor in resale. It will probably end up much cheaper than the CF Moto. That CF Moto sounds like a beast though 😊
I just purchased the American version, the Ibex 800. We don’t have the touring version here yet. I love the bike so far. I do have the fueling issue on off throttle. It’s very jerky in the lower gears. What software version are you on in your area? I’m on 1.1? Something apparently the current software that fixes the fueling in update 1.5 or so
No Explorer model in the US, I have the 23 Ibex 800T no Android auto, no Apple car play, no traction control, no radar, only two modes ( rain and sport) no free accessories
What do the pulsing red brackets on either side of the speed figure mean? They move in and out which must mean something, but there's nothing about it in the owner's manual or in any online forum I can see.
Very good review! I’m a new explore owner and learnt more from you than from the seller 😂. Just a question because I’m not sure I quite catch that. The traction control is also anti wheelie? It cuts you off if you try to make wheelie in the sports mode?
Hi bousnick. Thanks for the compliment. Yes correct, in sports mode the traction control kicks in when you wheelie. Off road mode let’s you wheelie. 👍🏻
I have been experience the same, even felt silly when I tried to take off fast at a green light but the bike cutt the power off in first and second gear and made me go slow haha, good safety feature but sometimes it is too intrusive, love this bike but now I regret I didn't get the black one, that blue color is kinda annoying now, looks not as sexy as the first time haha. I will switch it to off road today on my way back home. Excellent video.

Hi mate. Make sure your CarPlay is turned on on your phone. It will automatically connect with your Bluetooth

You can do it on your phone or on the bike screen.
