Remember that dirt sheet segment where it was said WWF didn't want to hire Nash back because they thought he was more useful as a cancer inside WCW? Haha crazy
Nash basically riffing over this entire show is hilarious, but if I was in WCW at this time, I'd be fucking fuming! The Goldberg video package bit with Nash is an all timer DEADLOCK bit.
There was no oversight. Turner put Bill Busch in charge in August and Busch by all accounts was just ready to get out of the job. Ironic because he stooged Eric out to get it. Turner Broadcasting wasn't done but they were ready to be. This stuff meant nothing compared to what the execs did.
I’ve listened to the podcast version of this at least 4 times. I keep it saved for flights. It never fails to make me laugh, and now that it’s on RUclips I will be listening again. This whole episode is so goddamn funny.
I cant wait for the deadlock podcast 20 years in the future when theyre looking at an episode of raw or smackdown from 2024 and for james to say, 'this one of those episodes where rhea ripley and liv morgan are feuding' and everyone dies of laughter
You are being optimistic and thinking too far ahead. They barely even scratched (more like refused to watch) the Super Cena era yet. There is a good chance that they will end up reviewing every single Attitude era and the adjacent WCW episodes than regularly reviewing the more recent stuff.
I remember Spoony raging at Jim Duggan at one point. One quote that stuck in my mind was: "When Hulk Hogan sells a better piledriver than you, YOU ARE A SHITTY WRESTLER!" Since then, Duggan beat the crap out of a burglar while Spoony is homeless and not making videos anymore. Oh the irony HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You all describing Tenay on this show for some reason reminds me of the ending of Evil Dead 2 where shit is just going bonkers and Ash is just perplexed and freaked out. Then when the deer heads and stuff starts laughing at him and Ash joins in, that's what commentary feels like on this show.
The dog was A maskless Al Green, as opposed to Al Green with a mask on in XWC or whatever the hell company, Nash'es tag partner in the Master Blasters.
Staff Sergeant is the highest rank a NCO can be in the army without getting a commission so Buddy Lee Parker being one rank below that shows some impressive initiative and drive
LMAO fast forward 10-years later kevin would do commentary as chet lemon in TNA also didn't vince russo give his notice to vince mcmahon while everyone was in the UK i heard jim cornette mention that awhile ago on his podcast.
I got to hang out with Kevin for an hour backstage at an indy show in 2011 and he was the friendliest, funniest, scariest, weirdest dude I've ever met. I asked to get a pic with him before I left for my bus after the show and he stood up, pulled his pants (trousers for the bruvs) down, sat back down and gestured to me to come sit next to him for the pic. 😂 I think I might be one of the only people who has a picture with Kevin Nash in a Singlet as a result of the weird choice he made. Also shout out to Bad Bones John Klinger who passed away, he was there too. Great guy. Slapped me once. I deserved it. 😅
I think the reason why Nash was wearing a D-Backs jersey is cause if I remember correctly I think he's lived in Arizona for awhile now, but yeah that bit of him doing a voiceover for a video package was crazy.
Nash is being a massive prick towards Luther Biggs for a reason. According to the book "Nitro" Luther Biggs thinks that Nash stole the Big Sexy gimmick from him and thats why he was no longer allowed to do it in WCW. This appears to be Nash taking a shitton of cheap shots at the poor guy's expense because of that.
I booked myself to be pleased with this episode. I haven't finished listening to it yet, but me liking the episode is what i wrote on the run sheet.
Wrestling Backstage brainrot is NUTS 😭
😂 10/10

Playing with everyone’s Livelihood is crazy

The old glory commentary
They started the year with the Finger Poke of Doom, and this is where they were by the end of the year. Gotta love WCW.

When Bischoff ruins the show with bad booking and commentary it's cringe and awful. When Nash does the same thing it's legendary and awesome
Yes
Cause Nash never have a fuck, whereas Bischoff still tries to convince himself and the IWC he did. There’s the difference 😂
Nash is based. Bischoff is cringe.
I can't believe Talkernate History is down with the boys. Love your stuff.
This ep was funny af
One of my favorites
Happy OLD GLORY New Year everyone!
My fav thing about this episode is how after trying to be professional, Zbyszko just gives up and starts joining in with Nash's trolling lol
cant beatem? Joinem!
Nash saw his former tag partner and asked "... AL?!"
The ole glory episode. This one's a doozy non-patreonites. Strap in
As a Dbacks fan, seeing Nash rep the dark purple and teal brings a smile on my face

They missed the part about Nash doing jobs in toy commercials
OLD GLORY SKELETON MAN!!!

Ah yes, the "If you're some... karate!" guy.
For the record I left this comment early in the show.
It doesn't matter to me if you're some karate!
Say his name and he appears
I believe in Mike Enos
*clap clap*

Are we sure that Parker isn't really Steve Sniffs?
Duggan is legit amazing.
Scuffed Stone Cold Horace Hogan was jumping through a fucking flaming hoop for that $500 per match deal.

This episode was wild . I have no comment on anything. I enjoyed every minute of it
Nash was calling this show like SGH lmao
Old Glory Torture Rack

I've had a crush on Nash since I first saw him in The Punisher. He's only gotten hotter too, dudes just got it all
You guys are hilarious
Look at the adjective...
Nash was a born shitposter that was somehow given the book
0:27 ME WHEN I SAW THAT THESE MARKS UPLOADED A NEW VIDEO
Being a plumber actually is pretty cool dudes….
He's not The Big Shizzow. He's the Gizziant!
LUTHER BIGGS WAS IN A STABLE WITH KANE
This is just the MEM Nitro Takeover prototype, more shows need a commentator that in kayfabe and shoot doesn’t give a shit and makes fun of everyone.
Trust very little Russo has to say
