For me, these films are pretty much the light that helped me get through preadolescence. A dark theme wouldn't really have suited what I was trying to say.
Crazy to think I was a child when I watched this video. Just an insecure child who didn't know her place in this world and just gravitated to the Universal Monster movies for comfort. This video brings me back good memories. I love the song and the clips still to this day. Well done.
A very touching tribute. The final montage of familiar faces before the monsters was somthing I wish I could have put into my tribute. Simply beautiful!
I collected all these monster models when I was a kid- I was a huge horror fan of the classics- I really enjoyed this thanks- I remember every scene- and the song wasn't bad either!
I didn't really forget it -- it just wasn't in the scope of the vid. I deliberately went for the six major sound-era monsters of Classic Universal, which fit neatly with the song's tempo and arrangement. My next "ode to horror" vid, which will track the whole of the genre, will have a clip from the silent Phantom.
beautiful tribute this is is beautiful two of my favoite universal couples are Dracfield from Dracula and Anketep from the mummy.. I love them soo much.
This is beautiful tribute! I can't stop watching it! I love the Universal Monsters! I grew up with them and still adore them. Fantastic job! (sheds happy tears)
So great seeing character actor extraordinaire, Dwight Frye as the hunched back lab assistant, Fritz in Frankenstein and as the mad man Renfield in Dracula.
BRAVO.... Thanks for sharing this video with us!! Well when it comes to any my favorites of the Universal horror genre, I choose the following: 1)Frankenstein 2)Dracula 3)The Mummy 4)The Wolfman 5)Bride of Frankenstein 6)The Invisible Man 7)The Black Cat 8)Son of Frankenstein 9)The Ghost of Frankenstein 10)The Invisible Man Returns 11)Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman 12)Son of Dracula 13)House of Dracula 14)Creature From the Black Lagoon. Now when it comes to any favorite actors of this genre, mine happen to be: Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jr, Claude Rains & Vincent Price. Well that's it now! So NIGHTY NIGHT, PLEASANT DREAMS, SLEEP TIGHT & DON'T LET THE BED BUGS BITE!!!!!........LOL
GREAT VIDEO GREAT SONG. THESE CLASSIC MONSTERS ARE THE REASON I LOVE HORROR TO THIS DAY. ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LOVE THESE FILMS AND UNDERSTAND THEIR IMPACT AND IMPORTANCE CANNOT TRULY CALL THEMSELVES A HORROR FAN.
I just wanted to say - I love this so much! I found it years ago - you did such a good job that this is now part of my annual "Halloween traditions". So every year on Halloween (and whenever I want to during other times) I watch this video and enjoy how perfectly it expresses a tribute to the Universal Classic Horror Monster Film and those in them. #Perfection #HalloweenTradition
I think the song could also be dedicated to The Creature from Black Lagoon...since it's more of a "love interest" between the creature and the woman. Oh and also the Mummy as well. I believe that the song suits for both films >:D After all, they both are looking for someone to love. Hehe, even the monsters need love too!
@ghostofjealousy78 I totally hear you--there's so much emotion in these characters and the geniuses who played them. Every clip brings back tons of memories.
I love the Universal Monsters I love the idea of monsters who we feel for regardless of how they may scare us My favorite has always been Frankenstein's Monster I'm 25 and it's unfortunate people are so close minded to watch something in black and white. Personally, I think that mindset is dumb and overrated. I am proof that older movies can be awesome to young people. If your open to it, it will gravitate with you and you will learn to love it. Universal Monsters forever!
@beattleBob I agree that all of the mentioned monsters deserve their moment. In its original conception, the scope of this vid included all of those and more, but eventually I decided to narrow it to the six monsters here, which fit in nicely with the structure of the song.
@beattleBob Regrettable omissions that I was aware of as I made them. The end tribute is built into themed sections of six clips -- one per monster -- and focuses mostly on the original film in which the monster appeared (with the exception of the Bride of Frankenstein). I couldn't readily fit in Atwill, Rathbone, or Una. I had trouble squeezing in Maria Ouspenskaya, in fact (although I'm glad I did). As for the rest of the vid, well... it's more about the monsters in the end.
Wow! I've watched a LOT of clipfest vids--especially of Universal Monsters--and that's the BEST thing I've ever seen. Nice job of picking the right song and illustrating the lyrics with the perfect clip. Thanks also for including all the "minor" players that are often neglected by most fans and commentators.
Yeah, the monsters are nothing without their supporting players. I just wish I could've fit good ol' Lionel Atwill or Una O'Connor in that final montage.
Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Wolf Man ( Lon Chaney Jr.) Claude Rains The Invisible Man, Boris Karloff (The Mummy) @ Frankenstein and Bela Lugosi as Dracula
I think monsters are not bad or evil. They are just creepy and strange but not realy evil. Spiders, Snakes and Bats can be creepy too, but they are just animals with emotins and feelings, just like any other living Creature on Earth. The same think is with Monsters, Demons, Aliens, Mutants and other creatures.
hello there i'm a classic horror fan from brazil and i want to ask you... can i use this video to do a montage with a song of my band??? Your montage are great dude and sure...you'll be credited in the video =) thx a lot see ya later Greetings from the home of the gill-man Sorry about my english -Paul Rikky Talbot
@MonkeyWithJetpacks I really want to put together videos like this; I think I'd be good at it. The problem is I'm mostly computer illiterate (I don't even have a Face Book page); can you advise me on how to create something like this?
I love it. These films are classics and need to be treated as so. I'm only 18, but I can't get enough of these movies.
For me, these films are pretty much the light that helped me get through preadolescence. A dark theme wouldn't really have suited what I was trying to say.
Like that you had a bunch of the human characters at the end. People often forget the importance of the humans in the stories.
Crazy to think I was a child when I watched this video. Just an insecure child who didn't know her place in this world and just gravitated to the Universal Monster movies for comfort. This video brings me back good memories. I love the song and the clips still to this day. Well done.

It always brings tears to my eyes😭
Yes, I, too, absolutely love these classic Universal monster movies -- and this is a beautifully made video! Thank you. Five stars and favorited.
Today's Monsters Are Nothing Compared To These Legends!!!
I collected all these monster models when I was a kid- I was a huge horror fan of the classics- I really enjoyed this thanks- I remember every scene- and the song wasn't bad either!
This wonderful tribute brought tears to my eyes. All my misunderstood childhood heroes in one lovely video. 5 stars.
Awesome video! I'm glad I'm not the only one that watches classic movies.
There is no way I could love this more! Such a good job and I love the song and the humor you use with the clips and the music.
I liked all the shots at the end of the supporting actors.
Hell yeah you got some Abbott & Costello in there!
These movies are treasures (understatement)
I wish I knew how to put together something like this.

What a beautiful homage to the classic monsters!
This is beautiful tribute! I can't stop watching it! I love the Universal Monsters! I grew up with them and still adore them.
Fantastic job! (sheds happy tears)
A kingly tribute to The kings of Horror! They had class and heart! They shouldn't be forgotten.
So great seeing character actor extraordinaire, Dwight Frye as the hunched back lab assistant, Fritz in Frankenstein and as the mad man Renfield in Dracula.

Very Nice tribute to some of the greatest films ever !
Very well done! You're not only a great film maker- you definately know your subject. Thankyou.
thanks for putting that up, as a HUGE fan of the Universal monsters, I really enjoyed that, thanks. :]
Wow! That was great, man!! Love Universal Monsters and I just love these tribute clips. This one was very well done indeed.
@ghostofjealousy78 I totally hear you--there's so much emotion in these characters and the geniuses who played them. Every clip brings back tons of memories.
If you mean the Wolf Man jumping off the balcony, it's from Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein.
I've seen all of the movies now and I just love this video!!!
you've forgotten the phantom of the opera (1925), it was the real breakthrough for monster movies and stars lon chaney.
I love the Universal Monsters
I love the idea of monsters who we feel for regardless of how they may scare us
My favorite has always been Frankenstein's Monster
I'm 25 and it's unfortunate people are so close minded to watch something in black and white. Personally, I think that mindset is dumb and overrated.

Universal Monsters forever!
This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. ^_^

Beautiful. Filled with sentiment and class.
Amazing!!! Loved it. Thank you for the work that went into it.
Great job, geat job, great job! I love this! This automatically goes to my favorites.
I also love the clip at the end. ;)
Boris Karloff And Bela Lugosi Are my two favorite actors ever!!!
Classy tribute to classy horror! Well done.

Great concept--I love this. It really makes me nostalgic. (I also think the song choice works great with the way you presented this, so awesome job!)
That's from the original 1931 Frankenstein, restored version.
Oh god that was beautiful even at the end
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Well done sir. Very nice.
This was really good

Yeah, the monsters are nothing without their supporting players. I just wish I could've fit good ol' Lionel Atwill or Una O'Connor in that final montage.
Neither the 1915 or 1920 Golem are on the current list, but I will probably have some additional room for more movies and if I do, Der Golem goes in.
That was a wonderful collection of clips. The song wasn't so great.
I agree with that one!
*Applause* I like it!
Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Wolf Man ( Lon Chaney Jr.) Claude Rains The Invisible Man, Boris Karloff (The Mummy) @ Frankenstein and Bela Lugosi as Dracula

@roseycheeks112 I might do a tribute to German silents at some point. If I do, Count Orlok is most definitely one of the stars.
perfectly done
i love this its all my favorites the only one missing for me is Nosferatu if you can find it i soo recommend it
...Perfect.
Ah, again, this is wonderful! I'm watching it for the third time and wondering what the clip on 1:36 is from....?
Frankenstein might have been a monster. But he spare that kid life.
What about The Golem (not Smeagol...Golem with a long o.) 1915?
hello there

Okay, and one more thing. :) What was the clip where Frankenstein's monster picks up the little girl from?
@MonkeyWithJetpacks
