    Granted, Time Ravage does use an (in late game) easily passable con save. However, after level 14, the Chronurgy Wizard can just decide that you don‘t make it lol.

      This this is what’s easy to overlook they can just say “no no you’re old, worth every penny now I need a nap”

    The cost is high, but I LOVE temporal shunt for flavor purposes alone. Its so good to just have a guy go in for a big swing and next round they come back to wonder what the hell happened

    Nice video guys I like your thoughts on the subclass. Currently have a 6th Level Chronurgy Wizard. I’m actually using Chronurgy, but with some necromancy spells already available. My hope is to control some of my own undead adds to attack with bonus actions and then back them and my team with Chronurgy reaction abilities while casting my own spells. One thought on Wristpocket as role playing a Necro-Chronurgy Wizard, and as it’s one of my favorite fun spells, it’s great for hiding an item someone claimed you stole so even if they search you they won’t find it and as well could help if you’re say doing something that might ruin an object on you like swimming to an underwater cave or sneaking an item past a guard (assassins would love this). You could Wristpocket a torch to reappear so your group has light once inside the cave or small weapons past the guard.

    I mean with a name like reality break why wasn't it in both? Tear time and space was even in the description

    • @ShuraEssays
      @ShuraEssays 4 года назад +2

      Yeah I mean there's very little reason that it couldn't be both. I guess balance is one reason. The only in universe reason would be like the visions of the distant future thing.

    What happens if Time Ravage targets an immortal being? Like a god, an immortal dragon, a lich, an archdevil etc. Does it just do nothing for them? Will it fast foward time until the multiverse has only 30 days before destruction, as that would be the only way to kill of old age an immortal, or set a timer of 30 days before imploding the universe?

    • @ShuraEssays

      I would think they would just have some kind of inherent legendary resistance to it or something. More notably because how often are you fighting Gods what about things with timeless body, or some equivalent? Most just slow aging but I'm almost sure one of them just says you can't die of old age.

      Hmm. It’s almost like bending the fabric of time and reality is dangerous…

      I would rule it cause instant madness to them. Like their body would age for infinity and their mind wouldn't be able to keep up.

    Use the chronurgy ability to gaurentee a failed throw, then cast Time Ravage on something epic; like the planet, a star, etc.
    *This could become Sephiroth’s supernova spell.

    Reality Break would be amazing if not for the multiple saves. Save for Wisdom, then the others every round...for an 8th level spell that’s a lot of chances to pass even with Chronal Shift.

    Guess no one has thought of opening a Gate spell to the past before? If Gate cannot Wish certainly does and being able to activate the ability to autosucceed on a check allows some wiggle room to help get the wish just right to open a time portal to a single point in the past and be able to affect it and effects of it to ripple thru time to not change the campaign stuff. But rather pull a captain America. Wont be ablr to do it again but the worldline will be.put right her soul restored. Great character I'm plsting can't wait.

    Ik this was a long time ago, now, but do keep in mind the Chronurgy Wizard can forcefully MAKE them fail the Con Save for Time Ravage.

      No they can not force a fail....

      @@Maximum7077 Level 14 Chronurgy Wizard feat: "When you or a creature you can see within 60 feet of you makes an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, you can use your reaction to ignore the die roll and decide whether the number rolled is the minimum needed to succeed or one less than that number (your choice)."
      That is deciding whether a roll within 60 feet fails or not.

    What happens if you use time ravage on a non-anicient dragon?

    • @URGE
      @URGE  3 года назад +1

      This would be mainly up to DM discretion, but it would seem to make a dragon into an ancient dragon physically (mentally it wouldn’t have the knowledge or life experience of one) 30 days before death. In older editions, dragons had a “twilight” period where they rolled Con saves every year to stay alive and lose points in their Con in the process, so this gets a bit of a gray area as this isn’t the case officially in 5e (yet). They would suffer the damage from the spell and the effects (disadv attacks, ability checks, saving throws, and half walking speed). There’s a lot of gray area on the stats side depending on DM discretion. Thanks for watching!

    You guys are forgetting something about that level 9 spell. At level 14 chronomancy wizards and make a save auto fail. You can make sure the save or suck spells work
