I bought one of the ebay stick/tig pocket welders and it has turned into a pretty useful tool even though I own large engine driven units. Dirt cheap investment and a useful trade. Watch some RUclips videos, you can do it!

No. And as a matter of fact, I DO have a fabrication certification as well as a millwright/mechanic certification. I didn't do 4 years of trade school to get scoffed at and insulted. Очень , очень хороший , для многих жизненно необходимый урок, кто проживает в сельской местности - для изготовления изгороди. Настроил продукцию на необходимую высоту, длину - и безотходное производство. А ещё нужно учесть внутреннюю душевную радость, при взгляде, что сам сделал, всегда греет душу, делается тепло, хорошо. Такого способа производства сетки рабицы, даже не представлял возможным. Знаю, как наматывать спираль на стержень. Если б пришлось делать такую сетку, делал бы дедовским способом наматывал, на пластину проволоку , проволока зажата в тисках между двумя деревянными дощечками.Крутишь , происходит намотка, потом , нужно обрезать, снять с намотанной пластины и вытянуть на определённую длину . Конечно равномерного вытягивания не произойдёт, нужно ещё по размерам где-то подтягивать , где - то сужать, а это лишняя затрата времени. А здесь уже при выходе готовая плетёнка , только соединяй друг с другом и сетка готовая. Оценка пять баллов этому приспособлению, при пятибальной шкале. ПРОСТО МОЛОДЕЦ, МОЛОДОЙ ЧЕЛОВЕК!!!
I'm impressed actually, very functional tool, fairly easily made given what it is. What blows me away more is that he actually runs beads when welding, he doesn't just tack the ever living hell out of it! 👏 Bravo good sir!
The best part about this video is that he spends the entire video cutting into metal and welding parts together. Only for the metal pipe suddenly changing to 3D printed plastic at the end.

Tack welds are used to lock in place the parts to weld them in the final position,but the truth is that for a short weld time on medium thickness materials,i also use hi temp parameters for mig tacks,then spot weld the rest if the parameters are too high for the materials used and still want a nice ripple patern seam,but with no structural weld strenght needed,just to look nice in a way they like,and this way,beginners or hobbyists can get a more easy way to keep a track and a straight line to get a nice overall aspect for a piece of metal that does not have critical aplications,even 3 separate tacks on each side is more than enough to roll that wire to make into chainlink fence strings...cheers from Romania ☺️

As a welder, I am always disappointed with the "tack" method they all do. Just weld a bead!

You did learn how to make a magazine spring. Just use a thicker piece of metal to shape the spring.
