Traditionally Zeta’s are known to have high GPS’s. From the very start the Zetas had higher grades than the AKA’s and Deltas, that’s a fact. Zetas look no different then the AKAs and Deltas. As a matter of fact you can find Zeta chapters who look better then AKAs or Delta chapters on the same campus. Zeta’s attract respectful, smart, young ladies. The Zeta’s were the first sorority to initiate African sisters and start chapters in African countries. Since the Delta’s came from the AKA’s they broke off in 1913, the more Delta’s try to be or look different from the AKA’s the more they are the same. All sororities are pretty much the same. Sorority’s are the epitome of femininity, so rather they admit it or not they are vain organizations because that’s one of the things that sororities are about, and there is nothing wrong with it. AKA’s and Delta’s need to stop stereotyping Zeta’s because I’ve seen my fair share of fat AKAs/Deltas and dark skin sisters as well. As a matter of fact all of the founders of each sorority and the members in the early days were light complexed or at least the majority of the members were. Oh and they all wear pearls when the occasion calls for it.
I heard all those stereotypes too and it’s crazy to me because I know so many Sorors that are the epitome of intelligence, class, beauty and sophistication, are all shapes and sizes but are FINER to the bone!
For the past few months I have been doing research on which organization would be best for me. I really liked when you said to identify with the principals and morals of the organization. Great video!!
Every Zeta I’ve met except one has been extremely sweet. I’m an older person so the Zetas I lived in the dorm with were very down to earth, friendly, sweet ladies. Fast forward 40 years later I had this supervisor I never associated her with being in any sorority because she was so antisocial and downright mean. When someone told me she was a Zeta I was truly shocked. She is the only Zeta I’ve ever been associated with that I would never connect to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. for obvious reasons!
I was repeating what has been said. I do agree that they could just say dark skinned. Unfortunately, there is a lot of ignorance and arrogance in greek life.
Hi Soror! Great video! We have the ENTIRE NPHC in my family. My mother - SGRho, my sister - Delta, my twin SGRho, and of course me - Zeta, cousin - AKA. Whew 😅 please don’t make me name the frat in our family. Nothing but live and respect for all in the D9! 💙🕊
I'm not sure who started the stereotypes, however I've been a member since 1984. Zetas come in all shapes, sizes, and shades. What makes a Zeta Lady is none of these things. Zetas all share the common principals of scholarship, service, finer womanhood, and sisterhood. True Zetas are not looking at the physical features of an organization, but rather quality character of good repute. I chose Zeta because the women reminded me of my mother, strong, bold, smart, resourceful. These ladies were always recognized for their high GPA's on campus yet they kept an open arm policy, full of love. Very precious spirit....
First of all you are a beautiful young lady and second I know tons of beautiful Zetas so these stereotypes are just silly. I like all the sororities but I think AKAs does them all a disservice my focusing on looks (calling other sororities ugly) instead of focusing on brains and the content of ones character as this what women has fought for all our lives.....
Thank you. I will say I have heard distasteful worlds from every sorority and fraternity towards others regarding looks unfortunately. I agree that focusing more on merit and character should be practiced more often.
Great video Soror. 💙. I don’t fit the stereotype that most people have for Zetas. I’m an “okay” cook, I’m fair skinned and I wear a size 8 dress. I wish people would just see all ladies as beautiful, regardless of their organization. You have a great point..they need to do their research and go with the organization that fits your morals and interest.
Zeta's represent Every Woman. Chaka Khan who penned the song is a member of our beautiful sorority. We have African American members, hispanic, white, Muslim, African. All shades. ALL BEAUTIFUL. All FINER. 💙
Hey Soror, I heard all of those dumb stereotypes when I became a member of our sorority. We are all educated and beautiful women who just happened to be members of the illustrious Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.I have a daughter and I would love her to be a Zeta. It depends on what she wants to do.
The women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority are FINER women. You can be "ugly" by European beauty standards and still be FINER. FINER has nothing to do with "cute" or "pretty", hair texture or skin tone. That is shallow. And for the record, a t-shirt with letters doesn't make you cute or pretty or even FINER. FINER represents substance. How you present yourself to the world. How you view yourself, your community and your world. If your level of commitment is based on what you think you look like, then your level of commitment will be short-lived or non-existent.
Ily zeta phi beta and i will like to become a zeta to pass it on to my kids when I get older my tete is a zeta and already teaching me some good strolls🥰💙
Never heard the one about being able to cook but now that i think of it the sisters i know can burn....lol. Just like your frat, me included, they call us country but when i was in school there was another fraternity that could have been on the Beverly Hill Billies but during greek shows they still called us country. All of the divine 9 have sterotypes and just because it's bad doesn't mean it's true and just because it's good doesn't mean it's true either.
I love my Z-phi-B! Lol! I love my Soror always have and always will. God know I dated enough of y'all in college! Lol! Oh and my oldest daughter is Soror...and she's gorgeous! Of course I'm gonna say that I'm her dad...but she is! Lol! Blue Phi and Happy 100 ladies! See y'all in JUNE!!!!
@@SydneiAlicia Ok....I don't know how to put the blue heart right here so just close your eye's and pretend I put one there. Now wait....3 blue hearts. NO WAIT....EIGHT BLUE HEARTS!!! LOL!
My question is, are you a real Zeta? My response would be no. By posting this video, you don't realize you are perpetuating the negative stereotypes that other D9 organizations have perpetuated. I think people are having an issue with the Zetas "embracing the swell", so there are efforts to demean our beloved organization because women clearly see that there is a better, FINER option in the D9 world.
Good morning, I was not asking you directly if you think Im a real Zeta, however you are entitled to your opinion. The video was to address the stereotypes I have heard about the organization 3-4 years ago (things may have changed) when I was looking to join a sorority. This video is not further perpetuating stereotypes it is addressing them and informing other interested ladies why they should not listen to them. Have a wonderful day and Zetas will always be the Finer option 💙
PLEASE QUEEN DON'T SAY THAT OUR ZETA QUEENS ARE STEREOTYPICALLY UGLY ; JUST GO TO THE FINER ZETA INSTAGRAM PAGE AND LAAAAAAAAWD LAAAAAAAAWD LAAAAAAAWD🤚🏿🛐
Sorror you are gorgeous don't listen to them people. I liked the fact that you said make sure align with the organization. I definitely want my one of siblings to be a Zeta or a Sigma.
Hey Soror, my daughter graduated from PVAMU in 2018. She wanted to experience the undergraduate intake process with a Sorority but unfortunately my beloved university was having complications with in that area (Greek and Non Greek). I also became a Zeta through Grad Chapter because during my attendance in the 1980's, and the Semester I wanted to (Pledge back them, LOL) everyone got kicked off the yard due to hazing. My daughter is now considering organizations.......I told her to research for herself because even though I would love for her to be a "Legacy", She needed to be true to herself. Don't be a part of an organization just to appease others. Join the organization because the principles, values and community involvement reflects your desires to serve. We come from a family of Delta's which we know that the influence is quite strong. I let her know that whatever organization she decides to join, Momma will be there cheering her on and welcoming her to the D9 Family

Zeta were always down to earth and thats what I liked about them. Pretty friendly and not stand offish.
I’m about to pledge Zeta 💙🤍

Hello Soror, I completely agree these stereotypes do nothing to strengthen or improve the organization or the NPHC as a whole. 💙
Did she become a Zeta?
No my sister never joined an org
