I’m 2 mins in and seeing you use the piano roll to help guide the layers was genius, idk why I’ve never considered this an option but you opened my eyes and now I’m excited asf to try to use that technique for some ideas I have
@@Tumadregabriel yeah I know, he laid down the root notes and also notes of the chords so he could sing his layers in key, 2 months ago I didn’t think about trying to sing my layers in using the piano roll as a reference, and during the time I was workin on something that I was singing into for a song, that trick helped me a lot when I struggled finding the notes by ear.

I can listen to that track as is. Not saying a resample wouldn't smash, but I am a sucker for soul music so hearing a soul track made in modern time is sick. This is what sets Simon apart from most other producers.
