This will be a really quick video in which I want to show you how to fix the "wrong code try again" error that you might get sometimes when trying to use Google Authenticator on your iPhone. So make sure to watch through the whole video to find out everything you need to know about this error, what's causing it, and how to fix this error.
So, one of the main reasons why your Google Authenticator codes do not work, is that the time isn't correctly synced on your Google Authenticator app. Now, I already made a video on how to fix this on android.
And many of you brought to my attention the fact that this option which allows you to sync the internal time of the app with the time of your android device, does not exist on iOS. So, the reason why we don't have this option on iPhone is that, the iOS version of Google Authenticator, does an automatic syncing of the internal time of the app with the local time of your device.
And I'm gonna show you in a few easy steps how to fix this.

OMG, thank you. Both my iPhone and iPad Pro started showing Incorrect Exchange code error at the same time after updating to 17.3. This fix helped on both of them.
I tried 1000 times to do it on 2fa app Aegis and it always says " Two-factor code verification failed. Please try again. " Then I created a new application instance on the 2fa app Aegis (don't delete the old one), but used not a QR-code, but a text code, and entered this code on the Enable 2fa page on the Github. Then this new instance generated a new 6-digit code and I filled it in the GitHub input field. And it works!

I did what you instructed about the time in the settings but when I clicked the sunc now, the message was "Thewe was a problem connectiong to Google's servers. Try to check your network settings and try again"
this sounds like some connectivity issues
i tried this it didnt work, i always had authenticator on iphone but after got new iphone it no work anymore i use it to login on my browser on my computer, but using iphone for the authenticator, i checked the time and synchronized and disable and enabled, i also deleted and reinstall both failed so i am lost what to do keep getting error

Hi I followed al the instructions but didn’t work for me
I got a google verificator account for my Roblox account,so I got a new device after that and connected to this account but they say “ Syncing will continue when your device is online and you refresh your
Authenticator codes”,so I am connected and refresh but my code doesn’t appear.I lost my backup codes because they was on my old device and maybe I did and error and removed the code.Also I’m not 100% about which google account I used.any help for this?
you need to findd which Google account you used.. maybe that's why you can't see that authenticator account. Once you do that, if you enabled the cloud backup, they codes should be there

@@Tay-gi6qo I'm assuming you have an android.if you go to your settings, I clicked on the magnifying glass. From there I searched "Date". "Date and time" popped up for me. I clicked that and it brought me to "General management". Around the 5th line down is "Date and time" again. From there I did as the video instructed, except I turned off my "Automatic time zone" instead of turning it on, and that worked for me....

I did every step, including the ones at the end of the video, I'm still told invalid. When i try to sync the time, I'm told unable because it's already in-sync with Google servers.

Hello I’m on iOS and today I wanted to log into my account,when I was about to log in it said that it needed a verification code I went to the Authentication app and when I tipped the code it said that the code is wrong I panicked and I didn’t know what to do.My cousin is also signed into the authedicator app,is that the cause of problem??

I rebooted my iphone, reset the time sync, and did the offload the app and reinstate and it still doesn't work with one of my accounts. I have two accounts that us google authenticator, one works and the other doesn't.
I contacted customer support for the account that didn’t work and they helped me get it reset.
