This video isn't as pessimistic as it may first appear. As always the emphasis is on finding a positive way forward. What do you want the devs to include as an absolute priority? Team17 went into the game and tried to "widen" then playerbase by going down a more arcade-y line and were shocked when people didn't like it. I want HLL to have a massive overhaul like Squad did for its infantry combat. As of now, it's too ez to click heads, and it's impossible to be the machine gun class and not instantly get killed once you mount. I want firefights to not be a 1-2 second event and then everyone's dead, and Squad has seemed to solve this with its recent overhaul
@pepperpippington6267 exactly that. The changes squad have made to suppression for example make perfect sense. I main MG often and getting picked off all the time is tedious! I'd also like to see ways the Devs can encourage communication by mic. Perhaps a feedback system where at the end of a match you can click on players and say their Comms were good which gives that player a rating, then you can see easily which players have positive feedback when choosing a squad to join...just an idea!
To point of head clicking, MOA needs to be more realistic, other than the hand selected "sniper" rifle, most factory fresh guns had meh MOA. Also, reduce HUD again (used to be none beyond 10ft), so them long shots become risky of TK, as it hard to identify uniforms that far. Ranged action required communication of which squad was where.

I had over 800 hrs on HLL, with an emphasis on had. The run speed increase is what did it for me. I loved to run armor but when someone on foot can keep up with your tank in 3rd gear it doesn't make for a fun time when you get a satchel every 2 minutes.
Makes sense, as a vet and tank player i agree with you. We need to step back a little e make more slow to progress on the map, slow the gameplay and get more strategic
@timtheenchanter6896 a big rework is needed before armour will be fun to play again imo. The interaction with the terrain is all wrong, a bush stopping a tank is just stupid.

The German army in WW2 used the following marching speeds as guidelines (good roads, no traffic jams): Fully tracked vehicles (day/night): 20/12 km/h, 150-200km a day Halftracks: 25-30/15 km/h, 250-350km a day Wheeled: 30-40/20 km/h, 250-350km a day Motorcycles: 40/20 km/h, 250-350km a day Bicycles: 12-20/? km/h Cavalry: 6-7/5 km/h, 50-60km a day Foot/Horse drawn: 4/3 km/h, 30-50km a day
@abdullah20f76 100% right, they've lost our trust and need to get it back. That's part of the reason I think appropriate uniforms for North Africa would be a quick win, showing they have listened and delivered something meaningful, even if it's quite a small gesture! What do you think they should focus on?

In fairness, been ok since yesterdays patch for me. Not perfect but a step forward. Really wish they would split into two server modes, normal like now with the running speed fast etc and ads zoom. Hardcore with no zoom in ads unless you have a scope, old run speed and maybe some other touches like no airheads, and instead you can have to parachute in to a chosen location a certain distance away from objectives.
@@soulsynthesiscreations that's a cool idea. It would be interesting to see how many players choose each type of server. The more hardcore elements of the game are definitely the main attraction for most.
What keeps me away is the gameplay is too fast, teamwork and communication has been lack luster. Just spawn, run a little bit, kill few folks die, repeat. Flank all you want, but still find a death simulator when you find the next enemy squad on that new flank. Give us a reason to keep our character alive, and have to work together to advance, death being a major setback rather than a minor few second spawn away.
@haft0004 I'd love to be able to say you're wrong but much of what you say rings true for me. Do you think a ticket system would be reason enough to be more careful with each life?
@twiglets2 To make everyone happy it would have to be a lot of little things honestly. Think you have touched on many in your videos, but to ultimately rework the meta, and fine tune spawns, loadouts, vehicles, make it worth your time and your teams time to choose them special role classes. Worth your time to drive, arty, defend, build. Why be medic if you can respawn quick, why engineer if you can never afford anything to build, why be support if your radio isn't needed. Currently see far to many just wants a class with an mg so they can run and gun faster. Squad (and Burning lands??) appear to try to introduce ways to make these classes worth your time. (Note: butthurt kickstarter chump that just wants that alpha gamemode back, squad play was at its peak then)
@@haft0004 Team17 need to make a series of good moves on a row to get back on track, very little room for error! I hope they get their heads together to really think before they forge ahead with their next plan.
@@twiglets2 For spawn specifically, would say dial down spawn rate, limit spawns at outposts, limit resupply at outposts. Basicly lessons learned from Squad but maybe not as hardcore. Ticket system from Squad seemed too disconnect from individual players. Rather than punishing a team for a W-key player dying a bunch, just punish them, take their time (spawn rate), take their ammo(Squad?), take their loadout(Enlisted~?), take their will(Tarkov).
@@haft0004 you're definitely onto something there. My main hope is that they stop thinking of new content and concentrate on the nitty gritty such as spawning etc that's where we need the improvements
@Atreid3s I can't recall the specifics but they mentioned the way the tanks interact with the environment, perhaps they made other changes since update 9 that have further complicated things? I wouldn't mind seeing the evidence of flying tanks!
@@twiglets2 the objective circles in offensive is just really small, making it almost impossible to really contest it, they are about half size of normal objectives in normal game modes
the game is on sale and I'm homeless with heroes and generals being dead. It'd suck to spend the money just for the game to die on me shortly after I do.
@darkdragonsoul99 the Devs have recently made some solid announcements about game improvements so I'm hopeful about the future! There are plenty of full servers to choose from so no need to worry about the game dying just yet!

@leongaultier554 It's an interesting point. I made a video about Enlisted vs Hell Let Loose and I've realised that some players don't mind bots, but some hate the idea of playing with bots. Interesting to see how divisive the subject is!
@@twiglets2 I have bad nerves to play with online gamers. Bots do not irritate me so much )) And they never cheat. And always apologise after killing you.

Not sure if you play Squad but what do you think about HLL increasing the squad size from 6 to say 9? Reckon it'd help personally
@twiglets2 we begged for squad size increases since early alpha tests, when Blackmatter was still thinking 'history' but never happened. Many folks presented research for period accurate squad sizes, and thought of splitting MG detachments (3ish man) vs rifle squads.
@@haft0004 I like the idea personally. I'm not sure about the others but british squads were often around 10 man centered around 2 bren guns, though I'm sure it evolved over the course of the war. I'm not sure why 6 is the number in HLL?
All due respect to console players, but server browsers just simply don't exist in console games. I'm not even sure how you would go about implementing one. The reason PC has a server browser is because people pay money to run a server through the PC platform. The same would need to be required for Console, they would need to implement dedicated servers for sale and find a way to have them run and be managed through the console version of the game, which like I said, am not even sure that's a possibility. Don't hold your breath.
@joshdonihue6559 I don't play on console but hope they get this feature. I believe the main issue is being able to choose which map to play as they end up playing the same one over and over. From what the Devs say it is technically possible but a pain in the ass.

Day z arma reforger ark battlefield 3/4 and a few oth BFs have always had server browsers. just go on any server websites and check all the console games that you can buy servers on lol. And I'm a pc player but I know for a fact console games have server browsers and custom servers

@@twiglets2 i think the access to other weapons or access to the other classes even if you are a team leader would be better. i think the limit on the sniper class in the team is fine.

every fix they say they fix glitches but they don't and it makes players doubtful

How does making the vehicles faster cause them to take flight? The tanks used to be faster before update .9 or whatever, and they weren't airborne...
